Just had my first lesson with Matt and had to come home and immediately write about it. Matt is a fantastic teacher with loads of music knowledge. He truly has a soul for music and can easily break down complicated musical teachings to a beginner level. He is extremely talented and personable and I cannot wait for my next lesson. I have not felt this excited about playing in along time and a lot of this excitement is due to how much learned in my first session with Matt and how much more I have to look forward to. Matt is a true musician in every since of the word and I highly recommend him to anyone that wants more than just to learn how to play notes but learn to play soulful, beautiful music of any genre.

DO NOT! I REPEAT DO NOT take opera vocal lessons from her. She learned from someone who cant even sing. She actually believes falsetto is unhealthy and I spent years avoiding the best part of my voice due to her misinformation. Any look at vocal pedagogy will confirm that falsetto is indeed a healthy voice mechanism used to develop a strong voice especially in tenors and she has chosen to be willfully ignorant due to either bad teaching or just not caring. Wolf in sheep's clothing people. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

"Tom is an amazing music instructor! My review won’t even scratch the surface of explaining what a fantastic teacher he is! Tom has taught our 4 children since 2008 when they started at School of Rock (SOR). When Tom left SOR and started giving private lessons, we left SOR because we saw the value Tom gave our children. He does a great job of challenging his students, yet keeping it interesting for them. (He's still teaching our kids after 6 years; they never get bored with his lessons and look forward to them every week!) Tom also does a fantastic job of blending music theory into everything he teaches. Our oldest child has a passion for music, and is now studying music at Berklee College of Music in Boston. "My son, who is 10 and has been playing guitar for two years, has been taking Nick’s band class for the last 9 months and we are very happy with it. Nick is not only a great musician, but as a father himself knows well how to teach kids and make them engage in whatever they are playing.

He has taught my son not only how to play with well with other musicians, but also how to find his “voice” within a band both in the rhythmic and solo sections of the songs.

He was accommodating when we had to reschedule a class due to personal reasons, and is always willing to make the class a little bit longer if necessary to finish what they were practicing.

When the Covid-19 pandemic forced us to have the lessons remotely, he started to use ZOOM and, while things remotely cannot be the same, he did a great job at making sure that they stayed as close to true form as possible."
