I have been playing the acoustic guitar for 13 years. As a recent graduate from Southeastern Louisiana University, I have been teaching guitar and ukulele lessons as well as classes since the spring of 2017. I hold a bachelor's degree in music performance with my primary instrument being the guitar.
I can also help you to acquire a solid foundation of music theory knowledge. You can better understand music theory concepts if they are paired with guitar techniques to supplement them.
If you are a complete beginner, do not be afraid! I will help you to learn at a pace which is comfortable but still effective for you. These lessons will be focused and designed to fit YOUR needs. Let's learn together :)

My goal as an instructor is to keep the lessons fresh, fun, interesting, and to ultimately guide the students to better teach themselves as they gain experience and familiarity with the instrument and music. Students can have their lessons catered to the music and styles they wish to pursue. Lessons are tailored to each individual student so that we can build upon their strengths and focus on lessons to improve weaker areas. Students will learn how to build dexterity, use proper technique, and be creative. Every student has different goals, some really want to learn theory and read music. Others may simply want to learn to strum a few chords. Whatever the goal, I can provide the instructions to help the student succeed!

I will show you how to play songs, chords, and lead riffs right away. My lessons will also explain theoretical concepts to illuminate your songwriting, improvisation, and jamming. I have extensive experience with audio production and am more than happy to incorporate that into the lesson. My studio in Brooklyn has a private yard where lessons can be given while following social distancing guidelines. I am flexible regarding what students want out of their lessons. If you want to write music, I can help you write, record, and publish songs to streaming services. If you want to play in a band, I can arrange for jam sessions with other musicians.

I really enjoy my lessons with him."

You're probably reading this review because you're looking for a guitar teacher. At the time I was looking for a teacher, I was most impressed with Ahmad's website, the content of which demonstrated a care and attention to detail that gave me the feeling that the person behind it would have a similar attitude towards teaching. If you don't have an instrument yet, don't worry, Ahmad will give you all the advice you need on choosing the right one.
It is obvious from the start that Ahmad is not only an phenomenal guitar player, but also, and more importantly, displays a strong passion and dedication for teaching. Each lesson is carefully designed and structured to build off of techniques previously learned and Ahmad has a knack for making even difficult concepts easy to digest. He imparts simple tips and tricks, mined from years of experience, that have helped me master techniques and avoid tedious memorization exercises which would have made the learning process agonizingly painful. Having one-on-one lessons also allows Ahmad to give me the personal attention needed to provide feedback, positive and negative, and nip bad habits in the bud before they become ingrained. Additionally, each lesson comes with handouts which are handy to practice with and use as a reference.
Ahmad has a diverse set of musical tastes and a secondary benefit of taking lessons with him is that he's exposed me to a plethora of great music that I would not otherwise have discovered on my own. Whether you're a beginner, intermediate, advanced, or think you can rival Joe Satriani, there's something for you to learn from Ahmad. Also, I've found that lessons are very motivating in terms of encouraging me to keep practice because, yes, I do get lazy sometimes. With Ahmad, if you put in the time and effort, you will be rewarded greatly with the freedom to be as creative as your heart desires and you will have more fun playing the guitar than a mouse running loose in a cheese factory.
Oh, and Ahmad is a super cool guy too."

Whether your acoustic guitar is brand new or gently used, you can do a few simple things to keep it in great condition! Follow these tips from guitar teacher Samuel B. to get the most out of your acoustic guitar... Let's face it. Acoustic guitars can be an outright nuisance to keep in shape. They're delicate, sensitive to both humidity and temperature patterns, and often have weak central support.
