I've been teaching guitar for over ten years and have taught all ages. I hold a B.S in Music and Masters in Education. In my lessons, I strive to teach students the different strategies that will help them develop the ability to learn on their own and at their own pace. The goal is not to just learn the instrument, but to be able to accomplish our goals. I look forward to working with you!

Having trained at Berklee College of Music in Electric Guitar and Songwriting and as a professional music teacher and performer, I can help you develop the musical tools you need to write full songs that are ready for the radio and the stage! I will help you reach goals based on your musical interests and aspirations. Some skills I can help you gain are songwriting, improvisation, music theory, ear training, practice methods, sight reading, music production, and many more.
Writing, playing, and performing music is incredibly rewarding, and can also be challenging. I'm excited to help you make your goals a reality!

I've been playing guitar and creating music since I was 13 years old. Between playing for 17 years and teaching for 14, I have a lot of knowledge to pass on to my students. Whether you want to write your own music, read and transcribe music (learn by ear), learn to play your favorite songs or anything in between. I will help you reach your goals and become a more knowledgeable guitar player and musician while having fun in the process! Let's get started!

My goal as a teacher is to give you the facility to express yourself through music. The key parts to developing this facility are:

1. theory -- if you know your theory, you know the best way to express your idea without having to think about it
2. technique -- the last thing you want is for your technique to hinder your ability to express your idea. Having good technique lets your ideas flow naturally

When you take lessons with me, you get out of it what you put in. Your job as student is to be honest with what you expect to achieve and my job as teacher is to give you the tools to achieve it

I've been playing guitar for 40 years, teaching guitar for over 15 years. Within the first few lessons, you'll be able to tune the instrument and play easy songs.

My lessons tailored to the student. We’ll create a Lesson plan with goals and a have live performance opportunity quarterly.

I typically use Hal Leonard books, as well as various other books and songs. I love working with students of all ages and experience levels. I can't wait to meet you!
