Working with Patty has been an incredible experience. She’s truly nurtured my love for music and been so patient and so uplifting. I’m very thankful to have found her as an instructor!

I have been her student over two and a half years now. Over the past 4 months she converted to online lessons due to the COVID pandemic. At the beginning I was not sure I could get the same quality or experience from the cello lesson without seeing her in person. However, her teaching via FaceTime was seamless and I was able to follow her teaching without any problems. She is the best instructor ever in-person and online for teaching the cello!

Mrs. Patty is an excellent and patient teacher who I have been taking lessons from for 8 years! She is great with younger players (like me, when I started in 4th grade) and with adults!

Peter has not only honed my daughter's previous skills, but introduced techniques and music theory that was completely new to her. Peter has sought out music that will challenge and interest my daughter specifically. We've been very pleased.
Brian
Peter is an extremely patient and knowledgeable teacher; it has been a privilege studying the piano and cello with him for the past 2 months. In that brief time, I have completed 16 of the 17 pieces in the first Suzuki book for cello! I have also enjoyed the piano exercises and repertoire he has assigned, which are technical but melodious. He has a great understanding of theory and technique; he is very personable and encouraging; and he was flexible and accommodating about the times and modes (in person and online) for my lessons. I recommend him wholeheartedly to other adult beginners like me and am grateful to be under his tutelage.

"I’ve taken lessons from Nicholas for about a month now, and he’s a fantastic instructor. As an adult beginner, I appreciate how patient he is and he explains technique/fundamentals in a way I can understan. I definitely feel challenged, and I leave each lesson wanting to practice for the next lesson. He’s also provided a lot of guidance for purchasing a cello and bow. Awesome experience so far."

"I originally learned how to play the cello on my own in my school's orchestra. When I went to college and decided to bring my cello with me, I knew it was time to take proper lessons like everyone else. Brenda was able to help me iron out all of the bad habits I had developed over seven years of playing cello with no formal corrections. She clearly cared about me and my interests as a student. I can confidently say Brenda equipped me with the tools, techniques, and attitude I needed to play the cello for the rest of my life."

What is a Yamaha Cello? A Detailed Look for Cello Students

Who made your cello? Who carved the body, stained, varnished, and assembled the instrument, including the label visible through the f-hole which bears their signature? There are famous luthiers, like Stradivari and Guarneri, whose names are synonymous with masterpieces of craftsmanship. These masters innovated many of the standards for modern stringed instruments, and so many luthiers might include on the la …
