As a young female, I was apprehensive about choosing a male teacher that teaches in his home. However, Paul has been professional and I have not had any concerns since meeting him and working with him. He is a well-planned, experienced teacher who artfully progresses students from week to week in a manner that is constructive and fun. In only 5 weeks I have learned more about playing guitar and guitar theory than I would have thought. He has been attentive to my goals and it is precisely the experience that I pay for.

I've been with Paul for about 3-4 months. I came to him having a minor in music and a lot of guitar under my belt, but frustrated with my consistency. I did a check in on my abilities recently and I'm able to play pretty much any song in the real book now after 1 or 2 tries. This is great, especially because I don't feel like I'm working that hard. So yeah he's great. I recommend him.

Paul’s experience of the bass and acoustic guitar are so helpful to growing your skills as a musician. He is such a great teacher with patience and clear directions in how to develop as a musician and learn music theory. I’ve learned so much from him in how to play in a band and also writing music.

She asked me what I wanted to learn and assisted me in a very patient way, and showed me the correct way of strumming and whatever else that was needed. A very good start.

Felicia is a great teacher! We work well together, she asks how I want to learn and she helps me to understand what I’m learning! As an adult learner, it helps that she can modify my lesson to suit my specific needs. I think this will be a great partnership!!

Felicia has truly helped me improve on the viola. From spotting my wrong bow hold to making sure that I am absolutely positive on where the fingerings are for the key, she has most definetly improved my playing over all and is helping me advance past most of my peers in my school orchestra.

Beginning guitar is all about finding the motivation to get the student through the first stages. You'll have fun while learning good habits and getting your fingers to the point where they can play what you want.

The best guitar lessons are multi-faceted from the beginning. You start playing songs right away, all the while learning other things about music, good habits, simple songs, and helpful hints.

No experience is necessary to start picking up simple techniques that get you musical as soon as possible. Even at the very beginning, when we're learning simple scales and chords, every effort is made to help exercises not merely produce the tones required, but in a musical, emotionally-connecting way.
Music is the language of emotion, and you can learn that language.

We focus on:

Personal service,

I know music theory very well and I'm great with making the theory part fun to learn while teaching to play a style that the student prefers. I'm an easy going guy and really patient. I tried learning guitar a number of years ago. Garrett was great getting me started back into guitar. He quickly got me going with some simple chords and techniques. He has a strong understanding of guitar and makes it easy to understand. + he can play anything!
Derrick
What can I say about Garrett. I have never met a better guitarist in my 20 years of playing. Taking lessons with him was one of the best decisions I ever made. I would pay him double. No matter the guitar style, Garrett seems to have played it for years and has real insight on any of the different styles from Blues, to Country, to Rock, to Classic Rock, to Metal. He helped me not just learn riffs or songs but scales and has bug in teaching me more advanced music theory as well. He truly is the perfect mix of good person and amazing guitarist. Don’t miss the chance to learn from one of the best no matter your skill level!

"Recently I have wanted to play the guitar and went to Rob for help. I am very much a beginner but I like the progress that I have made so far. Some of the chords were difficult for my small hands to produce so Rob showed me alternate finger positions from what I saw online that helped me produce the chord to play some simple songs after just a few hours of practice. Rob also showed me why some musicians hold their fingers a certain way that made sense to me. He really understands the "logic" behind why the different strings produce a certain note and related it back to the piano for me since I knew a little about that. He helped me get started plucking individual strings as I play certain chords. Rob has been patient with me as I struggle to remember which finger. He is patient, kind and very logical in his approach to music."
