I hope to help students of all levels with technique, interpretation, and musicality. I have worked with and learned from world-renowned musicians including Plácido Domingo, Luciano Pavarotti, Richard Boning, Edita Gruberova, and many more. After a 30-year long career singing opera internationally, I hope to share my knowledge and experiences with students with a similar passion.

I am an opera and musical theatre performer with years of teaching experience. I offer voice lessons for all genres and abilities, beginning piano lessons, and acting coachings.

I am trained and have experience in opera, musical theatre, pop music, and other genres, and I am eager to teach students of all ages and abilities! I aim to facilitate a positive, enjoyable learning environment that is constructive and productive.

My students have performed in professional and community theatre productions, have won local competitions, and have been invited to national auditions. I have music directed several musicals and summer camps, including Annie and Captain Louie.

I am available to teach beginning opera voice. Hour sessions are available but count as two 30 minute sessions back to back.

I have been teaching and performing professionally for over 30 years, and have a Doctoral degree in Vocal Performance, with over 3500 stage performance credits. I have an individual teaching style and curriculum with an emphasis on proper posture, breathing, vocal technique and placement to ensure vocal improvement within a very short period of time! I believe singing, acting and performing should be a joyful experience and one that can make a large positive change in your life. I teach all genres of music from beginner to advanced, and specialize in audition and performance preparation. I want my students to reach their full vocal and expressive potential, while having a wonderful time experiencing the wonder of making music!

My Philosophy: To find students passionate to learn the "Bel Canto Opera Technique". Everyone is welcome, all types of voices! My focus is to find the right balance in your voice, through vocal exercise, range, intonation, breathing, appropriate repertoire and of course learning the style of each aria or role. Another goal is to maintain a healthy voice. This may seem easy, however these days we see short careers that don't last long. This is because many singers start singing heavy repertoire before their voices are ready. One must learn to make correct, pure sounds when beginning training. Some young singers try to fabricate a heavy sound to sound more mature. When not ready for the bigger roles, one can destroy the fragile vocal chords of the voice and destroy hopes of a long career in opera.

My lesson plans cater to the interests and needs of each individual student. I have a curriculum that emphasizes proper breathing and vocal techniques, as well as mindful body awareness. I teach in multiple genres of voice, and aim to instill good vocal technique for healthy singing in any genre! My curriculum also includes ear training and sight-reading skills, as I believe that reading sheet music is beneficial. For interested students, I also teach performance and audition skills.
