*** Lesson Details ***
Ali loves to share her passion of music to the world and especially through her students. She loves to share new ideas and nuances along with the basics and fundamentals of technique. After a few months, not only will her students have fun, but they will learn how to be a better person and musician.

About Lucian
Lucian W is an alumnus of Berklee College of Music in Boston and former faculty member of the Hartford Conservatory. His vocal studies have been with Jacqueline Jarrett and David Baker in Connecticut, Jane Ellison at Loyola University in Montreal, noted operatic tenor Carmine Gagliardi in New York City, and Gina Moretta (whose students have included Gloria Estefan and Jon Secada) in Miami. He studied privately with world famous jazz guitarists George Benson and Chuck Wayne and has had a full time performing career of several decades as a guitarist, pianist, vocalist, bassist, arranger and orchestra leader.
Lucian believes that by sharing his enjoyment of making music with his students, he can give them confidence in other areas. That is because, in order to make music, they must go through a process of physical discovery through pr
actice. They are then empowered by experiencing the connections between inspiration, work, and pleasure.
He performs, as a solo entertainer, an unusually wide ranging repertoire because of his versatility on guitar, piano, and vocals. Being an accomplished arranger with a vast library of charts also allows him to lead a ten piece orchestra as competently as a trio or quartet. He has performed extensively in New York, Chicago, Cape Cod, and Florida.

I always try to make lessons as comfortable and enjoyable as possible yet challenging enough to maintain interest. I build lessons around the student's individual interests (specific songs or styles) so that he or she can learn the technical fundamentals in a relevant context.
My own curriculum is supplemented by the following:
Guitar: Hal Leonard Guitar Method, Aaron Shearer Classical Guitar Method
Piano: Alfred's Basic Piano Course , John W. Schaum Piano Course
Voice: Jeffrey Allen's Secrets of Singing, Nicola Vaccai Practical Method

*** Studio Equipment ***
Hardman baby grand acoustic piano
OptimusMD1600 electronic keyboard
Crate TX50D guitar amplifer

*** Specialties ***
- Singing lesson time is generally divided 50/50 between voice building and repertoire. I accompany vocalists on both piano and guitar, teaching the melody notes as they are sung along with the piano. Then, once the melody is learned, I often switch to the guitar with just chordal backing. The acoustic guitar is also softer than the piano and lets the singer hear their own voice better. For voice building, I use my own concepts plus approaches of famous voice teachers like Jeffrey Allen, Seth Riggs, and Anthony Frissel.
- I am very experienced performing all styles of guitar and can cater to the student's specific area of interest, whether it be rock, folk, classical, or jazz.
- With piano, I work on fundamentals of reading and technique. Learning basic harmony and chord construction starting with triads (3 note chords), the student can soon read single stave lead sheets (a form of music notation widely utilized by professional musicians) as well as the grand staff. This approach trains the ear and makes learning how to play popular songs much easier.

Lucian has a life time of experience as a practing musician, and also has been teaching for many years. I've had other guitar teachers, but Lucian is great at explanation and practical instruction. He's not just teaching you how to strum chords, but also about music theory.

He has the patience, and demeanor that is perfect for teaching. No easy task. I've seen other students of all ages here as well.

Great teacher

I trained in Bel Canto Technique, which really helped me develop as a singer and learn how to "belt" properly for some of the Broadway style singing that requires this technique. I look forward to helping students learn proper posture, technique, and tone in this style and also other styles.

About Rose
I graduated from the University of South Florida where I received my BA in Theatre performance & Communication with a minor in Dance. In 2011 I finished studying Music Recording at St. Petersburg College, where I focused on Singing/Songwriting. I trained at NYU with the Aquila acting company in classical theatre, and I also trained with TVI Acting studios in Los Angeles in Film and television.

My Music and Performance experience started when I was 6 singing in choir, school productions, and taking piano lessons. I continued on with group ensembles, musical theatre shows and later on touring with the Spanish Lyric Theatre in Both English and Spanish in throughout Florida after college.

I have been teaching one on one and group lessons for 15 years in various subjects, Including Music, Dance, Theatre, Academic Tutoring (Eleme
ntary/Middle School subjects: English, Writing, Reading, Math, Social Studies, Reading, Writing, Learning Skills, Civics, French, and test preparations), and Culinary Lessons.

*** Lesson Details ***
I like the combination of relaxed and goal oriented. I like to get to know my students and learn about about expectations and goals they have for themselves. Then I set up a plan that will help them achieve their goals and get them closer to what they want from their lessons. I take into consideration their interest, style, and help them to find their unique learning style.

I do have some guidelines for parents and students. If the student is a minor, I ask that the parent be in the house for the lesson. I also ask that the lesson be performed in the Living room or Music Space.

All ages/levels, both male and female. Tailor lessons specifically to what student needs and wishes to work on.

In addition to developing proper vocal technique, stamina and musicality, a strong focus is placed on storytelling, and how to most effectively convey the backbone of a musical theatre piece through a rooted understanding of the lyrics.

About Alex
Having grown up with a father who ran a guitar shop and a professional singer for a mother, music was just another language to communicate with in our house. Learning to speak through music taught me how to focus and develop new skills, which helped me in school with everything that I have ever had to learn.

In 5th grade I started playing bass guitar at home, trombone in the school music program, and private lessons for piano. This exposed me to a wide range of music very early on.

When I was a teenager, I was the youngest person to study at Victor Wooten's first bass/nature camp in 2000, a week long master class with some of the world's most decorated musicians in Montgomery Bell State Park outside of Nashville. I played in local bands in the Berkshires, wrote music for Shakespeare & Company in Lenox, and sang such roles as Val
jean in Les Miserables and John Wilkes Booth in Assassins, as well played in orchestras across the county. I performed as both a bass player and a vocalist in the Massachusetts All-State Jazz Ensemble at Symphony Hall in Boston.

I moved to New York to get a degree in Theater as a singer and actor in 2004. Since then I've been fortunate enough to work in NY orchestras, cabarets, theater and national TV, tour the world with a variety of musical artists, work as a studio musician recording albums for songwriters, and develop musical education programs. Most recently I curated and taught the bass guitar curriculum for Yousician, a Helsinki-based music app with 25 million users in 154 countries worldwide. That has been an invaluable experience, working alongside educators and programmers in one of the world's leading countries in both education and technology.

Music has been a life-directing guide for me; from the wonder of discovery to the mastery of new and exciting techniques, music has always been a sort of way for us to communicate intimately, yet on a universal scale. To pass the same experience on to others is such a gift, and one I value greatly.

"When words fail, music speaks."

So, let's start talking!

Alex is an excellent teacher who has helped me to understand not only where I can make improvements, but also given me a wide range of techniques I can use to do so. His knowledge of breathing techniques is particularly impressive, as his understanding of the impact of nerves and anxiety on the vocal. Alex's teaching style enables him to convey everything from the simple to complicated in an easily understandable, highly effective and very friendly way. I have only had a few lessons with Alex, but have made huge strides already. Very highly recommended!

About Nicole
Voice & flute students age 10 and up
Piano students age 4 and up

(I've taught age 3 and up before, however the ages I've listed above for lessons is what I have found to be most effective. Group classes may be a good alternative for very young students seeking voice or band instruments.)

Hello, fellow music lovers! My name is Nicole and I would be honored to have the opportunity to help you take your music skills, whether beginning to advanced, to the next level! I am a singer with 25+ years of experience with solos, small ensemble groups, and large choirs. My singing styles range from opera, musical theatre, jazz, gospel, and christian contemporary, just to name a few. : )  I am also an experienced flutist with 5 + years of study and an intermediate-level pianist with about 5 years of study in the classical technique, and playin
g chords to follow most any style. I also enjoy teaching some music theory (the rules of music) in written, sight singing, and piano chords, if requested. Music theory along with voice and instrument lessons can provide a further understanding of each musical concept.

My training first began in elementary school, in Virginia Beach, VA, when I took my first group voice lessons and concert band classes as a beginning flutist. I continued my study with a large home school band in the 7th grade. I was then chosen to play the flute in an All City Band in Virginia Beach, for excellence in my performance skills. From there I continued my study at a private school in Virginia Beach with many chorus, band, and youth band classes to further my music reading and improvisational performance skills. At age eighteen I moved to Tampa, FL and became a Liberal Arts major with a concentration in Music at Hillsborough Community College (HCC). I graduated from HCC with an AA in Liberal Arts/Music. I was then accepted to further my music study at the University of South Florida (USF). I studied voice and a sampling of other instruments in the Music Education program. I graduated with two and one-half years of music education training and another four years of voice training with a BA in Music Studies. Also, during my college years I participated in the elite USF Chamber Singers, the University Singers, the Master Chorale of Tampa Bay, and many studio recitals.

In 2013 I completed my fourth year of music teaching in a small private school in Tampa, FL. I have sang with Opera Tampa since their 2012-2013 season in the professional opera chorus for productions such as Carmen, The Magic Flute, and Madame Butterfly. I have continued to add new performance jobs with The Princeton Festival in Princeton, NJ (2014), St. Petersburg Opera in St Pete, FL , and the Tampa Spiritual Ensemble performing in the surrounding Tampa Bay areas. In addition, I continue my studies part time at the Patel Conservatory in downtown Tampa.

I look forward to working with you to make all your music dreams come true! So, let's make beautiful music together very soon!

*** Lesson Details ***
When taking lessons with me you can expect to learn in a very positive, encouraging, and laid back environment! I believe that learning is fun, very rewarding, and never stops. I plan to continue learning more about my craft for the rest of my life and I would encourage my students of all ages to adopt this mentality also.

For voice lessons I like to begin with warm-ups and breathing exercises that can be modified to any style of songs. Then to song selections that will be enjoyable, yet helpful in making your voice better. For opera style I primarily use the G. Schirmer Opera Anthology books, and Hal Leonard published anthology series' for different art songs. For all other vocal styles I enjoy using various published individual-song sheet music or CDs and accompaniment tracks. Along the way giving all applicable tips for producing better sound, projection, breathing, phrasing, and musicality.

For flute lessons I would begin with scales or simple exercises. Then to specific pieces that you would want to work on or techniques from the Accent on Achievement or Standards of Excellence book series'.

For piano lessons I would begin with finger stretches, scale warm-ups and/or easy chords or pieces to get the fingers ready to practice. Then I would progress to your chosen pieces or a book from the Alfred or Bastien Piano Book series', which includes books for all levels and styles.

*** Travel Equipment ***
I provide a keyboard for demos and use for students, a flute for demos, CDs, and some lesson books.

About Mario
I am a professional singer who graduated as a Master vocal performer from the Universiy of Miami. I am happily married and my wife and I just moved to Lakeland from the hot Miami beaches!

I specialize in theatre music and am also passionate about a variety of styles ranging from pop to classical.
Whatever the genre, I will help you develop a technique that is tailored to you perfectly!

I sing a lot and am currently singing as one of the opera Tampa Singers at the Straz center in Tampa.
I love teaching and especially performing! But to get that singing gig it's all about the audition, and I've been there. So if you want to know how to score one with the judges during an audition, I'm your guy!

I have a passion for teaching and find finding a vocal technique that is just right with every single student!

Last year I taught voice and p
iano lessons at two different schools in Miami Florida, Florida Christian school and Miami Fine Arts academy. Both schools had wonderful students with great talent and after a year of study with me Every student was confident and excited to perform to show off their new musical prowess!

Ive also been teaching piano for several years and boy do I have a passion for this instrument. No other instrument can really compare to the music a piano can make in my opinion.

Nothing really beats the feeling of accomplishment you get once you've mastered a piano piece!

I love to meet other music lovers and cultivate a comfortable learning environment fit for musical growth! Let's do some work!

I found Mario to be a very knowledgeable instructor. He seemed extremely energetic, enthusiastic and passionate about the lesson. He listened to all the concerns I had about singing and really worked with me to begin the process of moving forward and singing with confidence. I appreciated how we didn't just stick with one style of music. He had me choose music from different genres. I would recommend him to anyone interested in singing. I meant to give him 5 stars in the previous review. I accidentally bumped one down. My apologies!!!

Knowledgeable, enthusiastic, passionate, and himself very talented, Mario is an outstanding voice teacher. What might be his best trait, however, is his belief in the capabilities of his students. Using a kind but gentle teaching style, he pushes students to develop their voices and become the better singers they want to be. Working with him, I improved immensely, and was sorry that his move meant he would no longer be my teacher. I am delighted, however, that others will get an opportunity to learn from him! With foundations in jazz, r&b, classical and musical theater, I am able to help you achieve the sound you want to achieve. I take pride in teaching others and inspiring them to love music and singing the way I have learned to. I believe the essence of music is self-expression and finding meaning in every word and/or note but I also realize the importance of music theory, ear training and the ability to read music as it allows you to understand the music fully and go far beyond what you ever thought you could do.

About Taylor
Singing is truly a science and mostly in the mind. Let me teach you to control your mind so that you can sing the way you've always dreamed to.

Taylor studied music and participated in ensembles throughout her childhood (her award-winning high school show choir was even the subject of the BBC documentary "Gleeful: The Real Show Choirs of America"). This led her to SUNY Fredonia where she studied classical voice and music education before transferring to Berklee College of Music to complete a degree in Professional Music with a concentration in jazz performance. Following graduation, Taylor began teaching private lessons, and has instructed students aged 5 to 65 on piano, voice and trumpet. She has experience working with students on their songwriting, building their repertoire, developing their technique, and most importantly, buildin
g their confidence and their passion. Currently, Taylor performs professionally with a number of groups, perhaps most notably as the front-woman and trumpet player for Jay-Z/Beyonce cover band For the Record, who even earned a spot opening for Salt N’ Pepa at Boston's ThrowABBQ Night. She also leads her own 9-piece jazz/r&b group in which she writes all of the music and just released her third LP entitled 'Do U Feel Me' in June of 2017 (www.taylorkellymusic.com).
