I structure my lessons so students learn what they want to learn, while also building a strong foundation of guitar skills. I typically use Alfred's Basic books and also have the following tools available to use during lessons: flash cards and a metronome. I work with my students on sight reading as well as ear training so they can become better players over time. I also provide students with homework sheet that explains what we have been focusing on, what they have achieved, and what is the expectation for next lesson.

About Hanaa

Hi there! My name is Hanaa. I have a Bachelor degree in Music Education and have worked as a classroom teacher and a private tutor for ten years. I am patient, passionate, self-motivated and responsible teacher. I am also an effective instructor with the ability to create a fun-filled atmosphere an

David enjoys teaching students from all different backgrounds and levels of proficiency. Whether you are just starting out or a virtuoso shredder in the making, he is happy to teach you! Over all, he is fairly laid back, as long as you practice. He usually combines work with reading off of the treble clef (what he likens to "eating your vegetables." You may not want to do it, but it will make you a healthier musician!) with learning more popular songs (or songs the student says they would like to learn) through tablature and chord charts, depending on the style of the song.

David is also very pro music theory. He usually incorporates music theory into the curriculum in conjunction with the material already being discussed. He is also very knowledgeable about composition/songwriting, and if the student is interested in learning more about this area, he is happy to share what he knows!

About David

David is a successful singer/songwriter/guitarist out of Fairfax, VA. He has a bachelor's degree in Music with a concentration in composition from Salisbury University, where he also studied jazz and classical guitar . In the 25 years he has been performing (20 of those professionally) and playin

I've taught hundreds of lessons, over the past ten years. I have written, recorded, and produced my own songs, performed solo, and with bands. I have over 35 videos, and many of them are tutorials. I am sure I can teach and inspire you. Would you like to learn how to read music, or simply play your favorite songs? Or, perhaps you'd like to understand music better in general. Of course I can teach you scales, music theory, songwriting, and improvisation.

About Justin

I have played publicly in bands and as a solo act. I have written, produced, and recorded my own music. Otherwise, I have taught over a hundred lessons in my teaching career. You will be satisfied with me as your teacher.

Great teacher! We were so happy to have found Alex.
Leander
Alex is a terrific instructor, who adjusts lessons based on what the student wants to accomplish. For example, my goals include learning the instruments (baritone uke in octave mandolin tuning and concert uke in mandolin tuning), fingerpicking, playing both melody lines and chords, being able to determine what chords to use without sheet music. So we work on music theory and ear training a lot, as well as learning tunes. Very good instructor who is both flexible and knowledgeable...highly recommend him to others.

Angela is extremely knowledgeable in all things voice and instrument. She is very talented in both singing and teaching. I took voice lessons from her & I can say I learned so much about technique, breathing, & how to care for my vocals. Angela taught me to embrace my range & love my voice. She is a great teacher I would recommend her to anyone that wants to learn more in this area.

"I came to Eric with very little guitar experience, through the course of a few months Eric has helped me improve my guitar skills noticeably.

Eric is a very knowledgable teacher, he’s approach to teaching is humble and very effective, he let’s me play what I want and quickly narrows in on improvements and challenges for each session.

Taking lessons with Eric has helped me tremendously elevate my guitar playing rapidly, as an experienced teacher and talented guitar player he knows when to balance music theory with rhythm, scales and chords for each session.

I’m a big fan, I would recommend anyone to play with Eric and learn from him!"

"working with Jordan overall has been a great experience. He has done an excellent job in balancing my desire to play right away with the necessary skills to ensure long term results. Jordan has a very broad range of playing skills, types of music, and talent to accommodate anyone looking to further their guitar skills. We have bounced around from blues to rock to christian worship songs and from accoustic to electric. For someone that is an accomplished musician he displays and embodies a lot of patience in working with beginners. I would recommend him to anyone that asks and that is serious in furthering their playing abilities!"

Not only is he very knowledgeable in his field, but he also has a knack for communicating his lessons in an easy-to-understand manner. Devin truly listens and is genuinely patient. He tailors his lessons to help you achieve your personal goals while simultaneously giving you a well-rounded, solid foundation in music standards. Plus, he's just a really nice guy! "Simply Amazing!! As a new/beginner guitar player I wanted to find a teacher that could teach me not only how to play guitar but also the ability to sing as well. Within a matter of days James had me learning a simple way to learn to play a song for my girlfriend as a birthday gift. And now I'm hooked on learning to play better and grow as a guitarist. He breaks down the foundation for how to learn the guitar and what is needed to practice. James is your teacher if you're looking to learn as a beginner or wanting to advance your skill set."
