Got the quarantine blues? Nowhere to go - nothing to do? Let's rock! There couldn't be a better way to spend your time than playing the guitar. It is beneficial to your mind and soul, and can lead you in many positive directions in life. My goal is to help cultivate excitement in my students, and to keep learning fun and interesting. We will focus on what it is that gravitates you to the guitar, and break down what you will need to learn to gain the freedom you are looking for. My aim is that you will always continue to pick up the guitar on your own out of the joy of playing, instead of feeling like you have to. The guitar doesn't have to be a rigid instruction, it is fun, free, creative and different for everyone!

About Patrick

Hello there! My name is Pat, I live in Provo, Utah and I absolutely love playing the guitar! Besides studying the instrument over the past 16 years, I've played in countless bands and have performed in over 1000 shows in my lifetime. Some notable concerts I've played: Bonnaroo, Austin City Limit

Super helpful first lesson!
Ali
I know more about the guitar than I ever thought I would, thanks to a Patrick. He is so patient with me and knows exactly how to teach me so that I remember and understand. I originally started taking lessons to be able to play a few songs around a campfire and now I can play whatever song I want because he really taught me to read music and know chords. I’ve been taking lessons for less than 6 months and I am farther along than I even thought possible. I would recommend Patrick to anyone and everyone wanting to learn guitar. He is incredible and such a great teacher!!!!!!
Heidi
Patrick is extremely knowledgable which makes learning from him really fun and engaging. He not only teaches you how to play, but teaches you the why behind every chord and how it relates to other things you've already learned. He's patient, fun to learn from and will help you reach your goals. I can guarantee there is no other teacher out there who knows more about this instrument — he's definitely worth the investment!

It was only a first lesson but I can already tell I'm going to be taking more lessons with Daniel. He's very knowledgeable, patient, and dedicated. He detailed a specific plan for me to work on that isn't too rigid or boring, I'm looking forward to relearning the flute with him.

Just bought a guitar and want to learn?

Or maybe you've been playing for a few months now, but still can't seem to get past the beginner chords.

Has another instrument been catching your eye, such as bass, piano, or ukulele?

Do you write songs and want to learn how to record them and market them to listeners all over the world?

I do all of that! I have helped 80+ students accomplish the very things listed above, and even more! Learning an instrument is supposed to be fun, rewarding, and playful. When I teach, I like to keep it that way. During our lessons, you'll find me catering to your learning desires. I'll often ask about what music you're listening to, what you want to sound like, what your overall goals as a musician are, etc. I understand that teaching is NOT a one-size-fits-all approach. Everyone is different, and that calls for different approaches! I like to work with you to create a custom approach to get you to accomplish your goals, all while learning valuable ...

"Jason is a remarkably excellent teacher

I'm a moderately capable, mostly self-taught guitar player. I hadn't had a lesson in 40 years when someone recommended Jason to me. I have been impressed since my first lesson with Jason's engaging manner, his love of teaching, and most of all, his ability to teach any style or subject matter that I'm interested in. He has provided me a foundation in music theory and helped me expand my abilities to play in several styles. He makes learning a very enjoyable experience. He's a wonderful guitarist, and obviously loves and is dedicated to his profession. I strongly recommend him to students of any age and skill level. He's great!"
