During the first lesson we will get acquainted and you can tell me about your history with the instrument and what you would like to learn. Then I will come up with fun technique building exercises so you can play with ease. Then we usually work on a goal piece. For the piece I will give you practice methods and ways to play through the pieces with a beautiful tone. Viola is fun and expect to have a great time!
About Daniel
I began playing the violin at age 7 and I have enjoyed every moment since! I switched to the viola at age 19 and pursued both a bachelor's and master's in Viola Performance from the Cleveland Institute of Music and the New England Conservatory of Music. Music is always a journey and I have been luc

My husband and I were extremely pleased with the progress our son Thomas made with Dan. Thomas started playing last year and was progressing faster than the rest of his third grade class which is why we were looking for a private teacher to help him along. Before taking lessons with Dan I had a hard time getting Thomas to practice. Thomas has begun practicing all on his own because he has been genuinely inspired. Dan is a true professional who always on time and in a good mood to teach. He was so patient with Thomas and developed practice techniques unique to Thomas's situation. Dan is more than just a violin teacher, he is dedicated to inspiring each student to love music. Thanks Dan!!!
