Lessons are fun. My philosophy is that students should have music in their lives and benefit from the lessons they take now for years to come. Learning to play a musical instrument will help students with math skills, study habits, and develop a skill that will last for a lifetime.
After 3 months students will understand the fundamentals of their string instrument, know how to care for their instrument, warm up properly, be able to read and play introductory passages. After 6 months the student will have learned basic music theory, how to read music, and have advanced through playing multiple songs.
About Betsy
Music is the biggest passion in my life. I love being able to share that gift with my students, and look forward to their progress as much as my own. I continue to grow and develop as a musician, and love connecting with people through music. My students all learn to love and appreciate music, t

I am an outgoing, positive teacher who has a passion for music and for sharing this passion with students in a fun and relatable way. I don't approach every student the same way - as unique individuals, I learn about the student's goals and personality, and will create customized lessons based on the information and relationship we form. Knowledge of the instrument, music theory, and basic fundamentals are building blocks of any lesson, but the sky is the limit!!
About Regina
I was inspired to play the violin after seeing the local middle school orchestra perform when I was 8 years old. Since beginning group violin lessons the following school year, I have been consistently involved in developing my passion for and involvement in music in versatile ways -participating i

I take an approach that will best fit the student. I combine elements of Galamian, Delay, and Tuttle schools of thought to best fit the student on an individual basis. My three areas I focus on are: tension, tone, and intonation. Not every student responds to a specific, cookie cutter, formula, so this is why I draw from several sources to make sure I have the tools needed to connect with the student.

I studied viola with a myriad of amazing teachers that really cared about my future.
I have taken many pedagogy classes in college and after.
I LOVE the Suzuki method because it introduces not just technique but how to "make" music. Such as phrasing and dynamics.
I just moved back from Japan after teaching there for 4 years.
