Miss Jennifer has been teaching my daughter french horn durning rhe last school year. She is very patient, goes over the music my needed to learn for UIL and Solo. She takes the time to teach my daughter the piece she needed to learn for school, did some slight reading and work on her tone to get her ready for UIL and Solo. My daughter school band made 1s and my daughter made a 1 in solo. Miss Jennifer is a great brass teacher.

Good day!
I have taught occasional trumpet lessons ever since I was in High School six years ago. Beginner trumpet students start with basics such as lip buzzing, mouthpiece buzzing, and easy songs. Eventually, they will learn about playing with a desirable tone as well as instruction on playing solos and etudes. I play both classical and jazz music on trumpet.
If I sound like a fit, then don't hesitate to press the green button!

About Edward

You may think it’s strange to talk about a story that is unrelated to music, but read on to find out why this story is important to Alex’s life as a music teacher. Alex has always been a curious guy. Having worn glasses for his entire life, Alex was interested to see what contacts were like. Usuall

Edward's a very patient teacher and accomplished pianist. I've played the piano a bit on my own, but he gave me a detailed orientation into the theoretical side and technical side of piano. He gives me a large plate of work every week, and expects me to do this work. My progress isn't immediate, but it's going smoothly and it IS progress. I would suggest Edward for both begginers berly learning and for experienced players trying to learn more. Don't be shy with him. He can be a bit qwerky, but there is a method to his madness.

I have studied under Alex for some time now and I think he is the best instructor in the Houston area. I would highly recommend him because of his teaching style and is also one of the best players around. 10/10 Edward displays an extremely professional attitude about everything he does and has shown himself to be dedicated to becoming an outstanding musician and teacher. He is also a very accomplished Piano, Trumpet & improviser, a very sensitive player and a very musical individual.
Nick
I haven’t taken lessons from Edward, but we have played together since high school band. I’ve seen him play in concerts as a soloist and he is very musical on both piano and trumpet. We also played a trumpet solo with piano accompaniment that he wrote and it was a list of fun. He’s a great guy to work with and is very understanding of any problems you’re having as a musician. I’d definitely recommend Edward as a lesson teacher for both trumpet and piano.

The concept is simple: empowerment to generate mastery on your instrument. I like to work with you at your level, from beginner and up. My goal is to not only help you understand the mechanics of the instrument, but to empower you to create as limitlessly as possible on it. I will be working with you on things such as rhythm, ear training (hearing melodies and recreating them, understanding major and minor scales and how to "hear" music), embouchre (lips) development, breath control, musical sight reading, and understanding musical notation and terminology and beyond through a few of my own and others' techniques.

I have found the best approach to doing this is by selecting music that you like to listen to and play, as it is much more fun to practice something that you enjoy rather than doing busywork to build skill.

About Tyler

Hi, I'm Tyler! Born and raised in Roswell, New Mexico, I am the son of a band director. That being said, I have literally been involved in music since I was an infant! I played trombone, bass trombone, and bass guitar all the way through high school, and went to New Mexico State University where I

Tyler arrived early, spent lots of time with my unruly daughter, and kept her on track! He's a good combination of fun/playful but also has a natural authority so that my daughter actually listens to his instruction. Well done and thank you Tyler!

Great first lesson - looking forward to the next one.

I feel like I learned a lot in an hour and he really helped me find an anchor point that I can go back to if I am stuck on a note. I realized that he went over every proven method that I learned throughout my experiences from elementary school to highschool and then added on to them by explaining how these methods help. He even showed me methods usually taught to college musicians.

The reason I always believed in private lessons is because no matter how few or how many you take, the learning process gets expedited immensely.

I definitely would recommend this teacher for learning a brass instrument.

I enjoy nurturing musical creativity in my
students.

It is Rapturous for me when a student realizes
their own musicality by going past just
playing the notes on the page, to actively
expressing the Message (which could be a
Thought, Emotion, or a Scene) that is
inherent in the piece.

In a Brass instrument lesson, I have the student play:
-A quick and effective warm-up with me.
-A quick review of their assigned
technical exercises.
-Their assigned Etude or Chart or Solo.
-A Duet with Me.

Technical aspects of Performance:
1. A mastery of ability to Sight Sing.
2. Clean Articulation.
3. A wide (and well-sounding) Range.
4. Moving between partials is Flexible.
5. A beautiful Tone.

I wish for my students to become more than
just good instrumentalists, I want for them
to always have fun with music. When a
student realizes that music can ultimately be
Emotional and Creative Outlet for them,
they will be Musicians for life!

About Scott

I am a Bass Trombonist, but teach all brass instruments. I have been teaching for 20 years. I help my students build their Tone, Technique and Articulation by teaching a simple Warm-Up routine. I have written an 8-page eBook entitled "Optimal Brass Playing" that describes ten areas of best practi

Mr. Scott really is a nice person to meet. For my first voice lessons, He helped me identify what range I was comfortable with and introduced a few of his works that opened my perspective on reading music. He knows how to teach his material if you specify what exactly you want to accomplish.
Mike
Scott is someone who expertly emphasizes both the fundamentals of trombone playing and musicianship. I have had the opportunity to read his melodious etudes arrangements with him and his arrangements are expertly crafted to force the performers to work on listening, phrasing, intonation and sound quality all in one fell swoop. Scott's attitude is very warm and not condescending in the slightest. He is very positive while always encouraging the player to grow. If you are a low brass player who wants a deeper understanding on the intricacies of low brass performance and overall musicianship, you should absolutely give Scott a try.

Hello! My name is Nathan Kay. I'm a young professional trumpet player in Boston and specialize in Jazz and Classical Trumpet. I received my Bachelor's Degree from the Eastman School of Music in 2019, and have been fortunate to teach at music camps and privately as well over the past three years. My teaching is guided by two very important principles:
1: Teaching music is not only teaching music itself, but also teaching an appreciation for it as well. Music should be fun!
2: Every student is different, and everyone learns in a different way. Education should be personalized, and I will help each student achieve their personal individual goals!

About Nathan

I'm a professional trumpet player and composer originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, but have now recently moved to Boston for a year. My passion is writing/playing music, and I have been fortunate to share music with audiences across the United States. Growing up in a musical family, I was constan
