Hello and welcome to my studio! My name is Andrew G. and I’m enthusiastic to spread my love of music to all! I am available to teach at your home, my studio, and online, and can teach a plethora of musical genres ranging from classical to jazz, hip-hop to funk, and many others. I believe that the fundamentals are the most important starting place for any young or advanced trumpet player. So whether you are new to the trumpet and are searching for a great trumpet teacher, or are more advanced and want to learn the more intricate aspects of trumpet playing, I invite you to reach out to me! After fundamentals are covered we’ll add the types of music and pieces you want to play, and other great trumpet literature. I look forward to helping you become the trumpet player you want to be!+ Read More
Professional Jazz Band that performs throughout Maryland. We play jazz big band charts ranging from Ellington to Buddy Rich.
We are a rock/funk/ska group that performs in the DC/Baltimore/Virginia area throughout the month. Crowds tend to love hearing us perform and consistently want encores.
We are a full sized big band that focuses on music from the swing era up through the funk/rock eras. The group performs throughout Maryland and Pennsylvania and loves to have fun while getting better at playing jazz!
We are a full sized wind ensemble that performs a wide repertoire of classical music from the 19th, 20th, and 21st centuries. We perform in the tri-state area and enjoy honing our craft and becoming better musicians!
We are a septet that performs throughout the year in the Baltimore area and we perform pieces ranging from the 15th through 20th centuries.
I perform with the St. Clements band every noon mass on Sundays and we rehearse once per week. Many of the pieces played at mass were sight-read/transposed on the spot.
I led sectionals for a 40+ member trumpet section, and breathing/warmup routines for a 200+ member band. I also worked with individuals much like you would have a private lesson with me!
I worked closely with parents to make sure they got the best rental instrument, maintenance supplies, and any materials to help foster musical growth for their child.
