Hello, I am a professional trumpet performer and teacher. I have started hundreds of young people on all sorts of instruments and have had a great time doing it. You don't have to sound horrible when you start to learn an instrument. I have a reputation of getting young people to sound really good really fast. The method is simple. Get rid of mistakes before they happen. "What does it look like? What does it Sound like? and What does it Feel like? Once you get that figured out you will be on the road to success. If you are an advanced student I will be more than happy to help with High School All State auditions, or College auditions. My students are now in the United States Marine Band, and major symphony orchestras and Jazz groups throughout the US. Glad and Excited to help.

About Robert P.

I am a professional trumpet player and Master Teacher. I have degrees from the Peabody Institute in Baltimore, MD, Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ and I am a National Board Certified Teacher. I have years of experience as a Middle and High School Band director teaching band, jazz ensemble and humanities. My professional playing career has led me to the Boston Philharmonic, Boston Pops, New Jersey Symphony, Louisville Orchestra etc. I also was fortunate enough to play on a few movie scores and commercials. My passion is teaching and playing the trumpet. I would "LOVE" to help you figure it out. My teaching style is simple "What does it look like? What does it sound like? What does it feel like?" I have a reputation of getting young people sounding really good, really fast. I am looking forward to helping you be creative and expressive and have fun.
