“Steven B is a wonderful teacher! He is talented, always enthusiastic, and extremely motivational! Each lesson is designed specifically for our daughter Kelsey's ability and desired genre of music! Kelsey began guitar and vocal lessons in the Coronado studio and is now taking lessons via Skype since our move to Virginia. The lessons are convenient, affordable, and productive. We are excited to be able to still have Steven B as her guitar and vocal teacher!” - Amy, 5 Stars!
“I came to Steven B as a beginner in piano and I took the piano lessons on my Casio keyboard. I just wanted to learn my favorite songs. Steven B got me into the music I really enjoy! In only three months, I was able to play and sing a song I truly love titled “Angel” from Sarah McLachian. My teacher said I performed it as well as the artist. My friends, loved my performance of the song!” - Katrina, 5 Stars!
“My son has taken guitar and voice lessons with Steven B for the last year. We are pleased with classes and the improvement we've seen in comparison to a previous instructor. Steven B is punctual and extremely respectful of the time and money it takes to provide lessons. He can be counted on to be both friendly and professional. He comes prepared for lessons and expects the same of his students. If you are serious about learning and improving your skills, we highly recommend him.” - Christina, 5 Stars!
“My time in being instructed by Steven B on piano was a great, informative experience. Ever since the first lesson, he is a very good teacher that clearly knows what he is doing. Mr. B. taught me at my own pace, taking time to help me work on skills, especially small details that help me perform much better. He is a very skilled instructor, teaching me pieces from not only music books that he provides, but also the valuable skill of learning by ear, a skill few other teachers bother to touch on. Steven B has helped on a number of occasions with songs that I am learning on my own and fit time into our lessons to work on them. He is always willing to let the student work on what they like as well as what he gives out. When I once mentioned my liking for jazz, we soon started an in-depth series of lessons into the genre, teaching me much more than I ever knew prior to it. I’ve never felt pressured by my assignments and pieces to bring home, as Steven B knows everyone goes at their own pace and can take anytime from a few days to a few weeks to learn a song. My time with him was a very fun and informative time that I thoroughly enjoyed.” - Michael, 5 Stars!

Steven is an excellent instructor. After the first lesson, my vocal chords were tired but felt like I actually did something! He is extremely well-prepared, explains what he is trying to do, demonstrates the exercises and then offers feedback on your efforts. Top notch instructor!

Hi! My name is Rachael, and I've been teaching piano, drums, guitar, and ukulele throughout San Diego County since 2016. I earned my Bachelor's degree at Berklee College of Music in Boston where I was a piano major with a focus on contemporary writing and production. After graduating in 2012, my work with the Chicago Symphonietta led me to Chicago where I began writing music for short films and ad agencies. In 2016, the sunny weather drew me to San Diego where I began my vision for Foster Music - private music instruction that inspires students to create and share music that reflects their unique interests and voice, while providing a strong foundation of the fundamentals of music, in a fun and supportive environment.
Looking forward to meeting you & making some music!

Hello! I'm currently a Masters Student studying Trumpet Performance at Michigan State University where I am studying with Justin Emerich. I have participated in several different ensembles through my studies and have played in and around the metro Atlanta area. I enjoy playing the trumpet as its been able to help me improve as a person and I have learned how to communicate musically with people in ways to which I never knew could be done before. Lessons with me will not only help one's development on the Trumpet but also in musicianship through hands-on experiences musically and realistically.
My primary lessons can begin with a lesson book or by ear training. It is up to the student to decide which method works best. The basic lessons for beginners, in most cases, will require some form of music notation and theory to understand what makes music happen. Ear training is a method used for those who have some basic knowledge of music or who can sight read already. My music teaching method is personal and uniquely developed and designed from over 20 years of personal music teaching to both children and adults.
I am currently a church organist and have over 20 years of experience in teaching children and adults piano and organ lessons. My methods are traditional and contemporary. I received my Bachelors of Music Degree from Marygrove College located in Detroit, MI, and also an Associate Degree in Music Composition from Oakland Community College located in Farmington, MI. My music concentration is classical, gospel, R&B, and jazz. I love all genres of music and enjoy teaching them. I also teach electronic music through software for those interested in learning about music workstations or DAW (Digital Analog Workstations). I also specialize in teaching by ear training if you want to get away from the traditional method of learning to play by music notation. My method of teaching to play music by ear is unique and comes from over 20 years of
personal experiences with teaching individual students who wanted to get the ball rolling apart from learning in a traditional manner.

Do you want to play classical piano music: Bach, Mozart, Beethoven? You are in the right place!
I choose and adapt songs according to the age, interests, goals, and skills of the students. I also use the songs to teach different musical concepts: intervals, progressions, scales, chords. Every student is different, so I don't use any specific method.
También disponible la clase en español.
I am a pianist, songwriter, and keyboard player and backup singer for a prog-rock band and also a music teacher.
I've been teaching music for a long time. Why? Because I love music and I love to teach. My mission statement: get you to enjoy music while learning.
The best moments on my work are when the students realize that they can play/sing something that they couldn't do before. I love their expressions at that moment.
I started playing music when I was 7: the recorder, the Spanish guitar, a double keyboard organ that I used to learn how to play the piano by myself. Later on, I started with official piano lessons and ended with my BA in piano.
My training was classical but I love new age music and jazz.
During my piano lessons, you can learn theory, composition, play classical music and know the differences between diffe
rent periods, play pop, jazz, rock, learn how to read lead sheets. I adapt songs you like to your skills so you can start playing your favorite music from the first day.
During my singing lessons, you can learn how to use your "instrument" (your voice) properly: breathing, posture, pitch, resonance, agility, vocal range, riffs.
My son, Dominick, has taken voice lessons with Laura for a few months at the School of Rock. He made great progress and was able to perform nicely. He feels very close to Laura and misses her a lot and can't wait to learn with her again when he's back in town.
May 30, 2019
Laura was beyond kind and understanding with me! I learned so much in just one short hour, and more importantly, she made the lesson so much fun! I absolutely look forward to learning more from her.

My daughter has been taking lessons with Laura for over 3 years. Laura makes the lessons fun and challenges her to learn. She even adds a little music theory which my daughter enjoys.
"Richard is an extremely talented musician and an encouraging instructor. He takes his time to know his students and their individual needs. He focuses on
developing confidence in each student through customized and private lessons. He is not only friendly and extremely patient, but he is also good at gauging his students' abilities and needs. He gave me great feedback to help me improve at an appropriate pace for me. I was surprised to learn how qualified he really is too! He graduated from college in music, composes and records his own songs, has been teaching for many years, and has had over a hundred successful students. Despite his achievements, he still made me believe in myself as a beginning piano student! I highly recommend him!"
"Candida is exactly what I was looking for.
She understood what I needed and helped me to obtain the confidence I needed as well.
"As an adult beginner, I chose Anastasia for more personalized instruction, especially in technique, after learning the basics through community center gro
up lessons. I have not continued only because another equally well-qualified instructor who lives close by, within walking distance, has become available. I am very pleased with the lessons and pointers that I have received. Anastasia is professional, encouraging, and friendly. An especially helpful part of her instruction is the set of comments and suggestions that she writes down to guide practice between lessons. If the neighbor instructor does not work out, I’ll be back."
"Excellent teacher! I haven't played my ukulele in years, she helped tune it and teached me a few more cords. I have guitar and piano lessons with her. She
has lots of patience and encouragement when teaching. I highly recommend!!"
"Stan is a fantastic music instructor. He is wonderful with all ages. My daughter started piano lessons with Stan at age 10 and loves it so much she has al
so started to take guitar lessons as well. Stan keeps the lessons fun & interesting!"
"Great instructions, very creative & encouraging.
My child always leaves feeling motivated!"
"Fawn is fun and professional. My son has a lot of fun learning by her teaching methods.playing. She teaches about music theory, reading notes and the hist
ory of music, so it's not just learning songs. My son keeps getting better and better because he loves to play, loves Fawn and has fun doing it. How she has made the difficult work fun for him, is a true miracle."
"Eric knows a wide range of repertoire and we listened to various pieces by different composers and genres to see what music I like. As someone who is very
new to classical music, he prevented piano learning from being too overwhelming. He challenges you so you can reach higher and help you do your best."
I worked with Marie for a few years before she moved away from Florida. We worked on piano and voice. She was patient and encouraging. I am in
my 60s and she had no issue with that. She always said that music is for everyone. If she lived closer I would still be studying with her."
