Whether a beginner or an advanced student, I can help guide you through the keys and help you get on your way to becoming a up and running pianist! Been playing for about 11 years and teaching for 4 and I enjoy what I do.
Currently a student pursuing a Master of Music in Chamber Music at the University of South Florida. An experienced Musician/Pianist with a comprehensive background in performance. More than 10 years experience as a soloist and a collaborative pianist in a variety of ensembles. Proficient in sight-reading new pieces from start to finish with a high degree of accuracy and at tempo.
Wonderful teacher, very patient with new comers, and has an awesome sense of humour ! I learnt so much from how to read and play as well as techniques of how to practise on my own. You will not be disappointed at all :) !
I have 13 years of teaching experience. The lessons are molded to what you want to accomplish, and I will push you to make that happen. My own goals with each student is that they play with proper technique, understand music theory, read sheet music, are able to sight read, develop their ears, appreciate different genres of music, and most important of all, that they play from the heart. I specialize in classical music but I believe that this is the basis of all types of music and through this I can teach you any genre. I always tell my students that I can't do all the magic myself, they have to put forth the effort too. You get out of it what you put in it. I always want to have a good time and hope that you can join me in it! Please contact me with any questions.
I am a professional pianist, piano teacher, vocal coach and organist. I am originally from Puerto Rico, were I got my Bachelors in Music Performance with a specialization in piano from the Conservatory of Music in P.R. and have two Masters of Music from Eastern Michigan University, in Piano Perfomance, and The University of Michigan, in Collaborative Piano.
My philosophy has always been to ask the student what he/she wants to accomplish with their piano studies and then come up with a plan to accomplish this. Pair that with my teachings of proper technique and becoming a well rounded musician which includes: sheet music reading, music theory, sight reading, ear training and playing from the heart and you have the perfect formula for success. But the secret ingredient is always the effort that you put in to get better, without that yo
u will not get better.
As a pianist I do a lot of freelance work with singers and instrumentalists. Working with them for their concerts/recitals, competitions and recordings. I work also with middle/high school students as the choir accompanist for the Bowling Green City Schools in Ohio. I perform my organist duties at Olivet Lutheran Church in Sylvania, OH.
I have a small private studio that I teach from home and looking to expand it with online lessons and with you. I look forward to working with you and helping you accomplish your musical goals whether that is in classical or any other genre, I am here for you.
I'm a 50+ adult who took years of lessons as a kid and am now returning to piano. Xavier is patient, pleasant, selects appropriate music, works on both technique as well as musicality, and is great fun.

Mr Suarez has been teaching my 9 year old for just over 2 months. My son was excited about piano before we started, but now he loves it even more. He practices every single day without being told. Mr Suarez is patient, kind and teaches supportively with humor. He pushes just enough to make my son want to be better, without making him feel bad about his performance, should he be struggling. I highly recommend Mr. Suarez.
Experience in selecting appropriate repertoire. Exclusive materials include all hand positions and finger numbers so students can play and prepare more efficiently. I enjoy helping students of all ages get the most out of their interest in piano! I've observed that if (1) the music is great, and (2) students understand what is being asked of them technically, then great performances and maximum enjoyment are likely!
I remember when I started taking piano lessons as a child, I was extremely nervous to meet a new teacher and play for them. I wasn't even the painfully shy type, but something about playing music in front of a professional can be very intimidating. I had this expectation of myself to already be good, and I feared that the teacher would make me feel like I wasn't talented enough or didn't have what it took. Thankfully, I had wonderful music teachers (most of the time!) that would create an atmosphere where I felt comfortable. My lessons with my teacher, Mr. Decker, were a joy every week. Now that I myself am continuing this tradition of music instruction (10+ years of teaching experience), I know how important it is to create an environment in which the student feels at ease, and in the right frame of mind for learning and growth. Although I am very serious about achieving musical goals and making fast progress, I know that music is supposed to be fun and enjoyable. Mr. Decker was ...
Greetings! My name is Gabriel, and I want to welcome you into the wonderful world of piano playing! I am an experienced teacher you can trust to take you or your child to the highest level. I've been playing piano for over 29 years (since I was three)! Growing up in a musical family, I first studied with my mother, who still teaches to this day in Orlando, FL. I studied at the University of Miami, graduating in 2008 with a Bachelors of Arts in Music. Some of my career highlights are Performing with the Frost Wind Ensemble in Carnegie Hall in 2006. Performing regularly with the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra. They still tour around the world under the direction of Terry Myers. Performing with The Temptations and The Four Tops (on saxophone, my other professional instrument). Playing at Universal Orlando's Wizarding World of Harry Potter from
My teaching philosophy can be summed up in one word: Listening. I think this is the most important skill for a musician, music teacher, and music student. I listen to the student and find out what music already excites them. Then, through that music that they are already interested in, I teach them the universal fundamentals of music: first RHTYHM, then MELODY, then HARMONY. Practice can be fun when you are learning music that you love! I remember being a student myself, and being bored by many of the pieces I had to learn. Practice was drudgery at times! But, as I got older, I started making my own musical choices on what to study, and then I couldn't take myself away from practice! I look forward to my practice time every day, and I want to show you how to have that same excitement for learning and growth. I tailor my lessons to the needs of the individual student. I am always kind and patient, but I do push you to achieve your full potential! Let's get started!
I went to Walnut Hill School, NEC and Bard College. My principal piano teacher was German Diez. I studio composition with Joan Tower. I am a classically trained pianist who has extensive professional experience in session work across many genres. I also play free jazz. I can also teach electronic music, synthesis and composition. I have experience working with people of all ages and welcome anyone who wants to learn.
HI! I love teaching and I have many different areas of expertise. I am happy to teach combined lessons- Ableton mixed with synthesis, piano and accordion? Whatever your needs are, I am happy to find a way to teach you what you need to learn!
I take time as a teacher to get to know my students and the way that they learn. Everyone is different. The most important aspect of having a teacher is being able to learn from them.
PIANO- I studied for a long time with German Diez. (his principal teacher was Claudio Arrau) I have found a way to integrate the piano technique I learned from him into an engaging process of learning the piano- this is NOT limited to classical music.
ABLETON- I have used Ableton as a DJ, to create live dance music, as a device to perform as a multi-instrumentalist. I have used it to score a theater piece whic
h was triggered in real time. I use it to record- from a compositional tool to feature length soundtracks.
ACCORDION- I have been playing accordion since 2005. What drew me to that instrument, as a pianist, was the portability and being able to crescendo on one note. If you play piano and are interested in this instrument, the crossover takes a couple of weeks but, the results are immediate. If this is your first instrument, you will have a BLAST learning it!
COMPOSITION- I am trained (via Bard College, Joan Tower) as a "classical composer". Meaning, I write the notes on the page. However, it is 2019 and there are many ways to write music. In my career as a composer, I dedicate my life to exploring all the ways that one can be defined as a composer. I am more than happy to share my experience with you as a mentor to your creations. I will never tell you what to write- I will offer suggestions and be a vehicle to help you realize your music. Sometimes it takes a support system to "find one's voice". I am especially sensitive to people who are shy and/or late bloomers.
SYNTHESIS- Did you just get a new synth and can't figure out how to get it to make a sound? :) I am here. As a musician- whether seasoned or not, if you don't understand the basics of synthesis you are literally missing out on a WHOLE sonic universe.
Jil Christensen is a superhuman who comes down to Earth on occasion to help us mere mortals become better musicians. Having pushed Ableton to its limits, she is able to troubleshoot almost any issue a budding producer/composer will come up with and has a seemingly endless bag of tricks to help the student explore different possibilities for a composition. At the same time, she is able to break down the most basic concepts to get the beginner started (I didn't know what an oscillator was at my first lesson, nor had I ever used Ableton or any other DAW). In addition to being an expert in Ableton, Jil has extensive knowledge of synthesizers and other equipment both for the studio and live music production. Jil also has an encyclopedic knowledge of modern compositional techniques and years of experience implementing them. She is sure to take your music production and composition skills to the next several levels. Highly recommended!
I love playing piano and making music!! I hope to make learning music fun, and hoping you can see your progress in just a short time!

My 6 year old absolutely loves Diego! He has great energy, and makes piano so fun. He's dedicated and so encouraging. His great intuition for music also helps. My daughter is learning so much

I've had the pleasure to know Diego not just as a teacher, but also as a collaborator, composer, and performer. He's one of the most professional, brilliant musical thinkers I've ever met, and is great at pushing students to understand the piano better as an instrument - musicality is always the top priority in Diego's teaching.
I've been playing basic piano for over 15 years, and I love teaching beginner and intermediate students. I structure my lessons so that students learn what they want to learn while also building a foundational knowledge of piano skills. I teach music theory and piano technique which students can apply to a broad range of genres.
I am a professional musician who has been performing and studying for over 10 years. I received my BM in Vocal Performance and Spanish from St. Norbert College in 2014 and my MM in Musicology from Florida State University in 2016. I am currently working on my PhD in Musicology where I am focusing my research on Cuban music.
Though my graduate education was centered primarily on research, I continued studying voice and began focusing on world music styles. I learned Portuguese, in addition to Spanish, and picked up several other world music instruments as well. During this time, I also began to focus more on teaching and pedagogy. I discovered that I had a passion for teaching and mentoring aside from my own performing and music making.
Since I have a degree in voice performance, I primarily teach voice to all levels of students. Howev
er, I also studied classical piano and can teach beginner-intermediate piano as well. I teach these in my home studio and online. I also have a passion for education and music education in general and can teach/tutor/mentor in music theory, musicology, general education, and languages including English, Spanish, and Portuguese.
My teaching philosophy is based on a student-centered approach. I tailor each lesson to the individual student, taking into account their needs, experience, skill levels, and personal goals. My aim is to help you improve and have a good and fun experience doing so!
Nikki genuinely cares about her students and their success and will do everything she can to help them achieve her goals. She is patient and understanding, and strives to adapt her teaching methods to best fit the needs and learning styles of her students. I would reccomend her to anyone.

Nicole was my instructor in an American Roots Music class at Florida State University this past spring semester. While I'm not a student that is studying music performance or education in any form, I can confidently speak to the passion and dedication that she brings to the work that she does. She was always more than willing to work with me around my other obligations as an involved college student while still pushing me to pursue learning and engaging in ethnomusicology. Beyond her skill in her areas of focus, any student would be lucky to work with Nicole if only for how much she cares for the students she works with.

Nicole is a wonderful teacher who is passionate, patient, and encouraging to students. She is not only very knowledgeable about the voice and vocal technique, but also has a thorough understanding of music theory and experience performing various types of musical genres.
"Kids loved their first lesson with Melanie!!! Looking forward to many more lessons!!!"
"Very friendly and professional.
Step by step detailed instructions for young age beginner."
"For more than a decade I have followed Tamari’s piano performances, compositions, choir direction, and performances of her students. The results have been
superb as attested by audiences, colleagues, and those under her direction, including former performers with the Metropolitan Opera and other distinguished musicians.
I am delighted to learn that she has decided to take some additional fortunate students, including beginners. I have also witnessed excellent performances by her justifiably proud beginner students.
I am pleased to recommend Tamari as an excellent music teacher of piano, voice, or composition for students of any level.

"Amy has been instrumental in training many of my children in the study of piano. She has laid a great foundation in music theory and instilled in them th
e discipline of practicing and a love of classical music. We discovered that classical training lays an excellent foundation for all other genres. Amy’s passion for the classical can be heard no matter the style that is being taught or performed. Some of our children have since branched off into other instruments. However, their instructors have been amazed with their knowledge of music theory. They were able to skip the beginning basics of their instruments and move on to harder selections. I would highly recommend Amy as an instructor. She is professional, fun, and passionate.
We have since moved to another state and I am still searching for an instructor of her caliber."
"He is amazing. He really goes In depth and makes sure you are progressing at an appropriate pace, with technique, theory, and repertoire. He also really
puts you at ease. He has gone above and beyond, even discussing my upcoming class piano lessons at school. I really can't praise him enough."
"Kristin was very attentive and her lesson was easy to understand. I'd recommend her to anybody."
"Excellent class, my son was glued to the piano and loved the class"
"Natasha is a wonderful, patient, innovative and very playful piano teacher to my 8 year old daughter. I can see her improve and grow in leaps and bounds i
