Upright Bass Lessons in Orwigsburg. Amazing Teachers.

Want to learn how to play the upright as well as the electric bass! I can gladly assist with both! I love each instrument equally and would be more than willing to teach you the ways around the upright bass.

I teach Classical Double Bass from beginner to intermediate level. I can teach the student from the most fundamental skills to hard solo pieces depends on the level of student. I also feel the music history and theory is also important therefor some elements will include in the lesson.

I am graduating from Manhattan School of Music this year with Double Bass performance degree. I have played with NYYS, and performed in Carnegie Hall for 4 consecutive years. Recently served as guest principle for New York Symphonic Arts Ensemble, and International Chamber Orchestra of America.

My goal as a teacher is to give you the facility to express yourself through music. The key parts to developing this facility are:

1. theory -- if you know your theory, you know the best way to express your idea without having to think about it
2. technique -- the last thing you want is for your technique to hinder your ability to express your idea. Having good technique lets your ideas flow naturally

When you take lessons with me, you get out of it what you put in. Your job as student is to be honest with what you expect to achieve and my job as teacher is to give you the tools to achieve it

My name is Jerry. I LOVE music and passing my knowledge on to others. I have played many different instruments in many different kinds of bands. It all one major thing in common, it was FUN! If you are not having fun while learning an instrument you won't want to learn. Lessons can be fun AND educational at the same time. I have had many parents tell me I'm one of the best teachers they have ever seen. (A couple of them were public school teachers themselves). I truly want my students to succeed and I will do everything in my power to help them accomplish that!

I am a Bass Performance student at UGA. I love to teach upright bass in all styles! I personally play jazz, classical, funk/jam, musicals, rock, and bluegrass. I love to help students get their low notes sounding good and grooving!

Hello, my name is Max, and I play double bass. I have played for over 10 years in many settings and different genres. Double bass has been my passion since I was a teenager, and I have poured a lot of my time and energy into learning this wonderful instrument. I have studied under several bassists in the Florida orchestra and the Sarasota orchestra. I would love to show you the ropes or to teach advanced repertoire to students of all ages.
