The trumpet is one of the most demanding yet rewarding instruments. As a dominant voice in classical and jazz; the trumpet can be a section or solo instrument.

As his primary instrument, Vince began playing trumpet in 1998. He took lessons provided by his elementary school. Vince advanced rapidly, quickly winning principle chair in school ensembles and later with select county and state wide bands. He participated in many solo competitions performing classical and jazz trumpet throughout middle and high school.

In 2003, Vince began studying classical trumpet privately with Mark Klose then later with John Maguda. Vince studied many of the classic methods including Arban's Complete Conservatory Method, Schlossberg's Daily Drills and Technical Studies, Clarke's Technical Studies, and Stamp's Warm-Ups & Studies. Vince also studied solo repertoire by Hindemith, Haydn, and Kennan among others.

I've been teaching trumpet for 20 years and my students have gone on to the State level Band Auditions and won multiple times. Within the first few lessons, you'll be able to make a decent sound, play scales, arpeggios and simple tunes, and as time goes on you'll be able to play popular tunes solo and with accompaniment of piano or band. I specialize in classical, jazz and klezmer style, typically use best published books, and have the renovated, quiet and spacious studio, music stands, audio equipment. A graduate of the famous Curtis Institute of Music, Lori A has played all over the world. She has played with greats such as Frank Sinatra, Diana Ross, Pavarotti, and Leonard Bernstein. After being invited to the White House, she performed for President Reagan.

I teach beginner trumpet students by creating a fundamentals based approach while being fun at the same time!

I recently retired, after 37 years of teaching beginners through high school age students. In addition, I have remained active my entire life as a Trumpet player, performing in orchestras, concert bands, jazz ensembles, brass ensembles and as a soloist throughout the Twin Cities area. Many of my students (hundreds!) have auditioned and qualified for All-State Bands, honor bands, college scholarships, etc. My goals as a teacher: help the student learn to love making music on the Trumpet, help them increase their Trumpet skills significantly and help them grow as a happy person exploring the fun and exciting world of music!

I have been teaching Trumpet for 2 years, I am a college senior with one more semester. I Specialize in growing beginner to intermediate players and intermediate players to advanced players. Lessons are customized to the needs of each student. Students will all grow to understand music theory, become better readers, Improved technique, and richer tones. Let's get started.

I am a professional musician who tours the country playing with numerous groups! I have a ton of experience teaching for 10 years all ages from 3rd grade to retired police detectives.
You will learn pop songs, jazz tunes, classical music, and learn to have a deeper appreciation for music!

With years of teaching and gigging experience as a lead trumpet player, jazz soloist, classical player and composer I can guarantee improvement in whatever area my student is interested in. I can teach from a beginning level all the way to advanced players looking for additional coaching. All ages are welcome. In my lessons we will identify what aspects of trumpet playing and music you are interested in and work to improve in those areas. I specialize in fundamental brass technique, range improvement, endurance, jazz improvisation and songwriting. My teaching style will incorporate a theoretical approach so that my students learn about music as a whole while improving their trumpet playing.
