Beginning trumpet lessons. Learn how to breathe properly and play notes. Get ready for beginning band or just learn some basics.

About Chelsea
I have a Master's in Music Technology from Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis and a Bachelor's in Music (Technology and Recording) from the University of Indianapolis.
I started on the piano when I was in elementary school. I began playing the clarinet, my primary instrument, in 6th grade. I then started playing the saxophone in 8th grade and started playing the flute in high school.
I also teach beginning trumpet and ukulele lessons. These are secondary instruments for me so I only teach beginners, but I can help you get started! I have played trumpet on my own off and on for years and I play a couple times a month with local ukulele groups.

*** Lesson Details ***
I can give lessons in person (my house or yours) or online! You must have your instrument, necessary materials, and music books at your lessons. You may
need to purchase additional books and sheet music.

Chelsea was very patient and listened to my concerns. She had material ready for me to play and was very kind when she corrected me. She always found something I did right even when I made mistakes. Very good teacher!

Chelsea did a great job at our first lesson! She was patient and encouraging. She gave my daughter good suggestions on how she could improve and things to try in areas she was struggling. My daughter felt so much better after the lesson. We will continue to take lessons with Chelsea

We sent music to Chelsea in advance and she was able to help my son with the difficult parts of his music. The time was well spent and she explained things well. We look forward to our next lesson and working with her over the next month to help him catch up.

I equally cover fundamentals, technique, tone production, classical, jazz and anything else the student might be interested in.

About Nathan
I have been teaching private lessons for close to 10 years and have been an active performer for even longer, playing in all different types of groups, from rock bands and jazz groups to orchestras and brass bands. I studied music at Frostburg State University (Bachelors) and the Peabody Conservatory (Masters). I can teach just about any age and skill level and cover anything you are interested in learning; whether its a certain style, genre, technique or song.

*** Lesson Details ***
My lessons are laid back, with a focus on perfecting the basics. Most students work out of a method book appropriate to their skill level. Aside from that we'll also spend time learning songs and pieces of the students choice. With the right amount of effort, you'll know your way around your instrument in no time at all

*** Travel Equipment ***
Will provide sheet music and exercises. My students should have a working instrument as well as any method book or sheet music we are working on.

I teach all styles and genres

I can teach any level of trumpet playing. Classical, Jazz, funk.
Beginners or advanced players. I have studied trumpet with many of the best teachers in America, including John Haynie, Bert Truax, locally Gilbert Castellanos and Arturo Sandoval. The list is too long to name the all,but I have had opportunities to learn from many of the most famous players.

About Gary
Hello, my name is Gary R. and I am a life long music instructor.
Whether you are just beginning, or have been making music since you were a kid, you should know that private lessons are the quickest avenue to improvement. My lessons are designed for each student individually to maximize their experience. I enjoy teaching students of all ages. Advanced trumpet players are welcome too.
I also teach on SKYPE, and have successful students, including an all area jazz and all state jazz band trumpeter in Houston. He also made all area band last year. I also have vocalists gigging, songwriters writing, and young pianists playing well!
I received my Bachelors and Masters degrees of Music Education from the University of North Texas, a University well known for their music school and famous graduates. I have performed with a num
ber of bands since college. I am an alumnus of the Dallas Cowboy's band, The Funk Monsters, Idle Hands, Syntax, and many more DFW area groups. In San Diego, I host a jazz jam each month featuring some of the area's hottest players.
My primary expertise is teaching Trumpet or related brass instruments, vocal jazz, and piano for kids and adults.
Read my reviews, ask me questions, come hear me perform around San Diego, set some goals with me and lets get after it!

I found Gary by chance, but not by accident. Music had been absent from my life for over a decade by the time I met Gary. To say he understands my soul is an understatement. Gary is no ordinary music instructor. He possess a gift for teaching something more than the technicalities of theory and notes. His style is unique and personalized partially due to his incredible life experience in the music industry but more so due to his keen intuition, talent, and true love of helping a musician reach their full potential. I highly recommend Gary to all those who desire to fulfill their musical dreams, whatever they may be. Gary will guide you on your musical journey.

I have been teaching private trumpet lessons for 5 years. Every student learns in different ways, so I will invest myself in getting to know each student individually to meet their needs. I believe proper breathing is the key to successful trumpet playing and also enjoying the process of learning to become a better player. I also open my mind to learning by teaching.

About Ulises
I have played trumpet for 15 years, and taught lessons for 5 years. I hold a Bachelor's Degree in trumpet performance from Idaho State University, and a Master's Degree in trumpet performance from the prestigious Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University.

As a student who has overcome tension and anxiety, I can pinpoint any causes for these problems that a student may have. I am very understanding and I know that each student learns differently. I believe that music making should be fun, and I can help your playing be effortless so you can enjoy every moment of playing the instrument.

I have been contracted by several orchestras in Idaho in the past, and I have played professionally for memorial day services. I have played in brass quintets and am familiar with playing the correct style in a jazz setting.

Recently, I self produced
my own EP.

Want to take great solos? Want to learn how jazz has influenced pop music? Want know how to play trumpet in multiple contemporary genres? I have spent over 12 years studying trumpet. During this time I have focused on jazz and it's impact on pop, rock, and R&B music. Coupled with my expertise as a lead singer, I can take your performance skills and stage presence to the next level. I also work great with kids, creating a fun learning environment to get them excited about different styles of music.

About Antonia
Antonia is a professional trumpet player, vocalist, and songwriter in the Los Angeles area.

Starting violin at age 5, Antonia quickly developed a passion for music. Captivated by the raw power and tone of brass instruments, she traded in her violin for a trumpet at age 10.

When Antonia was only sixteen years old, she began performing professionally - fronting several local big bands as lead vocalist, as well as sitting in the trumpet section. Last summer, she was given the honor of playing at The Library of Congress with one of her big bands.

Antonia makes weekly appearances with local music groups ranging from jazz and funk music to rock, R&B, and rap. Antonia has a solo project of her original material under the name The Runtime. Her debut EP is in progress.

Antonia is a gifted and kind teacher. She gave my 15 year old singing lessons. My daughter was very hesitant at first but after the first day that subsided. Antonia is practical with praise and instilled the realistic aspect of practice and hard work needed to succeed. I saw my daughter go from a kid who would never sing in front of people to one who practiced drills, learned music and performed for the first time in front of an audience with confidence and poise. I cannot thank Antonia enough for her kindness, patience and real approach to teaching.
