David enjoys teaching students from all different backgrounds and levels of proficiency. Whether you are just starting out or a virtuoso shredder in the making, he is happy to teach you! Over all, he is fairly laid back, as long as you practice. He usually combines work with reading off of the treble clef (what he likens to "eating your vegetables." You may not want to do it, but it will make you a healthier musician!) with learning more popular songs (or songs the student says they would like to learn) through tablature and chord charts, depending on the style of the song.
David is also very pro music theory. He usually incorporates music theory into the curriculum in conjunction with the material already being discussed. He is also very knowledgeable about composition/songwriting, and if the student is interested in learning more about this area, he is happy to share what he knows!
About David
David is a successful singer/songwriter/guitarist out of Fairfax, VA. He has a bachelor's degree in Music with a concentration in composition from Salisbury University, where he also studied jazz and classical guitar . In the 25 years he has been performing (20 of those professionally) and playin

Hey everyone! I spend most of my time touring the world with A list pop artists as guitarist/bassist/multi-instrumentalist, but in my spare time I love passing along the gift of music via teaching. I've been playing bass for half my life, and in addition to bass I can also teach beginner guitar, piano, drums and music production. I've taught all different kinds of students, ranging in age and ability. I tailor my lessons specifically for each students needs, and to match their personalities and interests. Wanna learn how to play a Taylor Swift song? Sick! Wanna learn a blues chord progression? Awesome! Wanna learn how to shred like a Norwegian death metal god? I got you!
About Natasha
I graduated from Berklee College of Music and spend most of my time touring the world with A list pop artists as guitarist/multi-instrumentalist. I've played concerts to thousands of people, national/international TV shows, countless tours and festivals. My most important goal is for my students to

Nick is also very friendly and great to work with."

Fun, thorough, I feel like I'm learning a lot."

I feel very grateful to have found and now be taught by Jesse. Despite my considerable age beyond his, he treats me as a peer and has kept me on my toes with learning tasks. Further, lessons are actually fun as well as challenging and about once a quarter, we have "band night" where many of his active students come together to socialize and to "jam" together.
I've had other teachers in my life (I'm in my 60's) and Jesse is by far the most intelligent, skillful and enthusiastic.
My only regret is that I didn't find him sooner."
Having come from a very small musical background Nathaniel was extremely helpful in laying down a solid foundation for how to play the guitar and how to view music in general. Nathaniel clearly has a deep understanding of musical theory and performance. His lessons are structured around what you want to pursue, but at a pace and with material that is challenging, fun, and rewarding to complete. If you are looking for a teacher that is serious about music, experienced and poses the ability to help you reach your musical goals, whether that be increasing your aptitude with an instrument or studying complex theory, I would strongly suggest Nathaniel."

Jeff was probably the best thing to happen to me as a teenager. I took bass lessons from Jeff for 5 years & in that time, my world of music expanded as did my skills in playing music. My lessons with Jeff prepared me well enough to enter into college level music courses. If I had an audition, Jeff zeroed in on what I needed to know & helped me get the gig. His study techniques work, if you work em'! He will show you what you want & you will get a whole lot more. Ask him about the Louie Louie/Wild Thing thread & you will get the history & learn to play R-n-R, the Blues, R.n.B, Funk. & the foundations of Jazz. All levels, all styles, Jeff Stetson is my #1 recommendation for learning music. Thanks Jeff, I am positive you helped keep me out of trouble & possibly jail too."

If you’ve ever seen or heard an MTV Unplugged concert, you’ve probably seen and heard an acoustic bass guitar. This is a hollow body instrument that is the size of an acoustic guitar, but has the sound of a bass. In the 1980s and 1990s, rock bands would perform their electric guitar songs with acoustic guitars, and bassists could be heard or seen playing these instruments that are not too common in the world of music. But if they made it all the way to the MTV screens for decades, why h …
