About Paul
Paul M is an American born, New York-based Piano teacher, Vocal coach, Pianist, Composer and Artist. As an educator, Paul is part of The Suffolk Piano Teachers Forum, College Music Society and Music Teachers National. He has been an Adjunct-instructor at New York University (NYU). Paul also conducts master classes and seminars in The United states and South America. For the past few years, he has implemented classes in composition and music history in the coastal area of Ecuador and New York. His music studio in New York City is in high demand. He works with piano, composition and vocal performance students of all levels and styles, which include classical, jazz, blues, Tango, and Broadway. In 2006, he received a Bachelor Degree of Music from Stony Brook University.
As a Pianist, In 2006 Paul was a prizewinner at the Music Club of Douglaston Piano Competition. For two consecutive years, Paul was awarded The Suffolk County Piano Forum Prize. XLNT Music recently wrote, “Paul is a fine pianist that performs with superb pianism and great sensitivity.”
 His recent public performances include Ecuador South America, Steinway Hall NYC, The United Nations, Faust Harrison Hall, Saint Peters NYC and The Staller Center. Paul has performed with The Stony Brook Symphony Orchestra and The New York University Symphony Orchestra. He has studied with well-known piano teachers including: Martin Canin, Morey Ritt, Tina Dahl, and Anita Gelber. In 2011 he released a record consisting of his performance of original compositions for solo piano that is available in bookstores and on iTunes.
As a composer Paul has composed music for the feature film Documentary Between the Shades, directed by Jill Salvino and premiered at the Soho International Film Festival in 2017. In 2014, Paul was the composer for the radio show Ackerman Associates Meets Dracula written and directed by Peter Stass. In 2014 he wrote the score for, Lies People Tell, a short film that premiered at the san pedro film festival. In 2011, he released his first solo record Succession of images, a song cycle for solo piano. In 2017, he released his second record Hope, a chamber music work recorded with clarinetist Thomas Piercy and Violinist Patrisa Tomassini. Recent public piano performances of his music include Ecuador in South America, Steinway Hall NYC, The United Nations, Spectrum NYC, Faust Harrison Hall, Saint Peters in NYC and The Staller Center in Stony Brook NY.

As an artist, Paul is known for creating large instillations, paintings and live performing art pieces. From 2014-2016, he was the artist in residence at Spectrum Gallery in NYC. In 2014, he completed the Elevator Time Machine, a large instillation made of elevator parts that responds to sound. He also wrote and produced a 20 minute live art piece called Static in Movement for piano and video. His acrylic on canvas works have also been presented at Spectrum NYC, The Art Bar, The Gallery at Logos and Ward-Nasse gallery.

From a lot of experience with beginner piano students, both young and adults, I have been able to find a regimen of piano teaching that combines time efficiency with fun. As the lessons continue, I slowly add new tools to each weekly lesson that are exiting and interesting. While working with intermediate to advanced students, I have had coached them to apply and get accepted into some of the top Universities and Conservatories in the country. My students, beginner intermediate and advanced levels, have been awarded for their performances and activities in schools and competitions.
I am also a composition teacher. I work with composition students from beginner to advance. My composition students, over the years, range from all ages starting at 7. My students, after the first year, have been able to write string quartets and piano trios. My advanced students have entered competitions all over the country and are very successful in their composition practice. Some of their compositions have been performed in famous concert halls and schools.
As a vocal coach, I work with students of all ages. The repertoire that I recommend to beginner students includes Disney, Broadway and classical music. For intermediate and advanced vocal student, I have successfully prepared them for competitions, Broadway and University auditions as well as personal enjoyment.
Most recently I held a piano, composition and vocal recital for my students at the world famous Steinway Hall in New York City. I believe that some students work better when there is motivation for performance activities. For that reason I host these type of events. Students that decide they want to take place in these events perform among all levels. I offer these performance opportunities as an invitation. Each student has a choice as to whether they would like to perform.

My name is Milton Carl Jackson II and I teach vocal, guitar, piano, and musical theatre lessons in the Inland Empire area.

Milton has been a really good fit for our son, because he is easy-going, knowledgeable and always comes ready to teach something new. His relaxed style suits our household without seeming unprofessional, and he is extremely encouraging. These lessons all started during a rough medical situation for our son, and Milton just rolled with it, making sure our son created music and didn't focus only on his health. It also gave our son something positive and creative to work on, making him feel less like an invalid and more like a musician. Overall, we have been so happy with Milton and would highly recommend him to anyone.

Hello, and welcome to my page! My philosophy for singing is that a truly great singer is versatile, and that the ideal voice is a flexible instrument that can handle a variety of genres and styles.

My personal training is primarily in classical, and I have a Master's degree in classical voice/opera from Boston Conservatory at Berklee. However, I also actively sing pop, musical theater, and even heavy metal!

Singing can be challenging, and while I work with the student intensely to diagnose and fix vocal issues, it is very important to me that the student feels happy and confident. I encourage students to express their creativity by singing in styles that they feel comfortable with, choosing their own songs, and even adding their own riffs/runs/ornamentations.

I like to place a heavy focus on music theory and sight-singing (I
offer private lessons in these subjects separately as well); It is extremely important for young singers to be able to read the notes on the staff, to understand rhythm and key, and to find pitches on the piano.

I accept beginning-intermediate singers of all ages. I additionally offer music theory, sight-singing, and diction lessons as well as beginner/introductory piano.

Stephanie, a native of Miami, Florida began her musical studies at New World School of the Arts in South Florida, earned her Bachelor of Music degree from University of Florida, and obtained her Master of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of Miami.

Featured roles in past seasons have included the Miami Summer Music festival, where she participated in the Wagner Institute concert, and as Elizabeth Proctor in the new opera production of The Crucible. The Palm Beach Arts Paper noted that she “sang impressively, handling the music with confidence and flair.” She also sang the title role in Pinocchio at Cedar Rapids Opera, as well as Flora in La Traviata, Carmen in Carmen, Giulietta in Les contes d’Hoffmann, Meg in Mark Adamo’s Little Women, Mrs. Herring in Benjamin Britten’s Albert Herring and the Nurse in Michael Torke’s Strawberry Fields.

Stephanie placed 3rd nationally in the New York Lyric Opera Competition, where she made her Carnegie Hall debut. She was the winner of the Miami-Dade artist access grant award, and the Concerto Competition at New World School of the Arts. Stephanie has also placed in the semi-finals of the Florida Grand Opera/Young Patroness of the Arts competition, and the Palm Beach Opera Competition. She has participated in distinguished opera programs such as the Miami Music Festival, International Vocal Arts Institute, Opera Academy of California, and the Manhattan School of Music Summer Festival.

I've taken many lessons with Stephanie over the past 2 years, most of which via FaceTime or Skype which has always been successful, and convenient that neither of us has to travel.

Stephanie is patient beyond belief, but also incredibly driven and focused in her teaching technique. My range has expanded, my tone has become warmer, and I'm an all around better musician with her as my teacher. The way she approaches the voice is both confident and very professional, and I would happily recommend anybody to study with her; beginning, intermediate, or advanced. She is a gem!

Hello! My name is Brianne and I am a professional performer, actress, and vocalist. Originally residing in LA, I decided to further my education and experience by enrolling in the jazz voice program at CSU Sacramento.

From as early as elementary school, I began singing and performing in my church choir and musicals. Once I got older, I began to take vocal lessons at Van Tuyl Music Academy in Huntington Beach, at which I continued to do for 6 years. At the age of 16, I began performing as a professional lead singer of the wedding and entertainment band High Altitude. I currently perform as a lead singer of ESSEX, an entertainment band that is well known in the Sacramento region.

Though voice is my primary focus of study, theatre and musical theatre is another huge passion of mine. Throughout my high school years, I have also been
in a variety of professional theatre productions, playing Hermia in A Midsummer Night's Dream, the Witch in Into The Woods, And a dancer/ Marguerita in Steven Sondheim's West Side Story.

In the middle of high school, I became more intrigued by the jazz genre, and the beauty and complexity that lies in a vocal jazz ensemble. While performing with Downey High School Epic Jazz Choir, we performed and often placed in the top 3 at the Monterey, Folsom, Reno jazz festivals. We also had the honor of performing at the JEN jazz festival held in New Orleans, Louisiana. I currently perform with CSUS Voices under the direction of Gaw Vang Williams. Last winter, we had the honor of sharing the stage with the very well established vocal jazz group New York Voices.

Though I mainly sing contemporary music and RnB, I truly love all styles and can teach students foundational and essential vocal technique that can be applied to any style of music you want to sing and perform. I can also give guidance on how to read music at an intermediate level and even to play the ukelele and piano as an accompaniment to singing. Rachel was extremely patient and could figure out how to help a new singer like me navigate their body and find a true sound. Her positive feedback encouraged me to do better along with her comforting wit and humorous exercises that really made me open up. I took lessons with Rachel through the secondary lesson program at Oberlin College and it was a great experience! What I loved was that her teaching goals extended beyond how I sounded in the lesson itself, but also focused on trying to give me the tools for being able to properly and productively practice on my own. eaps by performing annually in a recital and by participating in local assessments and competitions. I can also help students prepare for upcoming events such as a performance, wedding songs, talent show, or school audition.
I teach at my in home in Pinecrest- very close to The Falls shopping center. Parents or guests are always welcome to watch in on any lesson. I teach students of any age or skill set. I teach a variety of music: pop, rock, broadway, Disney, folk, art, classical, and worship. I can also teach music theory and sight singing.

As a Freshman at St. Olaf College double majoring in church music and music education, I live and breathe music! I have been teaching for six years now, having started out mentoring children in the Royal School of Church Music, a program founded in music theory, sight reading, vocal technique, and responsibility.

I am also a freelance composer with multiple years of composition and music theory experience. I can mentor students of all ages and abilities in music writing software (particularly MuseScore and Sibelius) and help students channel their inner creativity in composing.

Having taken classical voice lessons for six years, I can teach students proper breath support, vibrato, releasing tension, sound, resonance, and placement. Additionally, I have vast musical theatre and jazz experience and can help students to pull standards in
all these genres for their pleasure.

As I am a younger teacher, I relate quite well with my students and have been informed of my patient nature. Since I have worked with children for so long, I can easily convey theoretical concepts in different ways, using basic metaphors for a student's understanding.
