"For every good bassist, there's a dozen great guitarists." Someone said this to me when I was a young wannabe rocker, I have found it to be true. The bass is the part of the song that everyone really hears. If lead guitar is the icing, bass guitar is the cake. Learn how chords work, and how to map them easily, and let your creativity take over from there.

Scotty is a excellent teacher.
I've been learning bass from him and he is very knowledgeable in everything from the history of music, theory, techniques and much more.
I've been taking lessons from Scotty for over a year and have learned a lot about theory, form, and style. Had taken lessons from other instructors and felt that I should had been further along after 1 year. One hour lesson time is perfect for me and I always leave wishing I had more time.
Great teacher takes time to cover theory of music, and does hour lessons unlike most teachers in town who do 30min lessons. Have taken lessons from other teachers in the past, and all they do is teach you songs without explaining the reasoning behind it. Have learned more in the last few months then Iâve learn in years with other teachers.

I've been taking lessons with Daniel for a few months now, and I have thoroughly enjoyed and grew from each lesson. If you're serious about making music for fun or professionally, he's the teacher for you.
What I like most is how he creates a beneficial and serious learning environment that's still incredibly fun and positive. After a few lessons we were already playing songs together, and he's taught me a more effective way to practice on my own, which was a major problem for me.
As soon as you meet Daniel, you can tell how passionate he is about his craft, and if you display your own passion for music, you will work great together, and you WILL progress. I highly recommend him!"

the on-line class is great! Eric J made learning the bass guitar easy. he is awesome and he is very patient. cant wait for the next class!"
