Singing has been a wild and incredibly fun journey for me. Back in high school I was convinced I would end up a Rap/R&B singer. Jump ahead 17 years, and I now sing opera professionally with companies from Wisconsin down the Great Plains, all the way over to Florida and up the East Coast! In between, I've had the opportunity to work with musical theater companies across the Midwest, and sit in with a few jazz groups along the way! With over a decade of professional performance, I have gained real world insight into how to approach singing in such a way that my voice is healthy with 10 to 15 shows a week!
I hold a Bachelor degree in Voice, Theatre, and Dance from Northern Illinois University and a specialized Master Degree in Opera Vocal Performance from Louisiana State University.
During my education, I had the very rare opportunity to study acting at the Moscow Art Theatre School in Moscow, Russia, where I gained valuable insight into how to really add dramatic nuance to any piece my

I take an old school approach that really builds up the basics: posture, relaxation, exercises designed for powerful vocal usage in a healthy manner, and pair that with what we know today about the health of the vocal mechanism.
Both my degrees come from the College Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati, hailed for having some of the best vocal training in the nation. With the help of the training I received, I have been fortunate to be able to travel all over the country, performing in various operas and concerts, including at one of the largest opera houses in the United State, Seattle Opera!
My extensive training and experience give me a special insight into helping my students not only be the best they can be, but stay healthy day in and day out!

I began taking lessons with Luis when I was 12 years old. I had a background of vocal health issues and had already been diagnosed with vocal nodules at the time. He was able to teach me proper singing and breathing technique, that transformed my voice. I continued to train with Luis all through middle school and high school, where he provided me with several songs for my repertoire and coached me for successful auditions for school shows, community theaters, and well known summer conservatories through Paper Mill Playhouse and NJPAC. I went on to study Musical Theatre Performance in college and credit Luis with providing me with such a strong vocal foundation. Additionally, Luis is an incredible and genuine human being. He truly cares about his students and continues to check up on myself and my family to this day.
Rebecca
I highly recommend Luis as a voice coach. My daughter has been working with Luis for 6 years and he is excellent. Her voice has grown and matured in ways that would not have been possible without him. He is patient and kind, can teach a variety of music styles, music reading if desired, and breathing techniques. He brings out the best in his students and encourages them to grow and expand their abilities.

Luis is an amazing instructor. He helped my daughter get parts in plays. He gave her the confidence to make a few music videos. He is a genuine person and truly believes in helping students find their “voice”. I would highly recommend him to your company.

I received my BFA in musical theatre. I have performed in musicals off-broadway and in professional regional theaters all over the east coast! With my level of expertise, I can help you feel confident on songs from any Broadway show!

We will first discuss the three pillars of singing: Alignment, breath, and relaxation. We will work on vocal technique through simple exercises. I have exercises for people of all vocal ranges, types and levels. I can help you with any style of singing!

Then, together we will select a song that's perfect for you from my vast sheet music library. I'll accompany you on the piano, and you will leave the lesson feeling confident and accomplished! Can't wait to get started.

I have had the pleasure of being Meghan’s student for the past five months and cannot say enough glowing sentiments about my experience working with her. I am a classically trained singer with my degree in vocal performance and had never tried online lessons before. I came to Meghan with hopes to learn technique in contemporary and musical theatre styles and, my gosh, does she know her stuff! I am continually in awe of her musical knowledge and technical versatility in using the voice in a healthy and natural way. Meghan is so kind and professional in lessons; I feel comfortable trying new and vulnerable things with my voice that I hadn’t had the environment to do so before. I have had so much growth in my singing, artistically and skillfully since I began lessons with Meghan. She is extremely accommodating and personable with communication and scheduling. I can not recommend her enough!!

"I had the privilege of having Rebecca as my teacher for four years. My voice has gotten drastically better and I have her to thank for that. I had some trouble finding where to place my voice and she always provided me with great visuals on where my sound should be coming from. This helped me improve so much. She is such a sweet person and wonderful teacher. Anyone would be lucky to have her as a voice teacher!"

"A Wonderful Teacher!

Jessie is an incredible person to work with. I went in looking to work on my range and songs for musical theatre and came out with a better understanding of technique and intonation. She is always patient and understanding of her students and is always willing to help them any way she can. She helped me pick songs for my auditions and also informed me about other auditions in the area. I also learned basic piano from her awesome piano worksheet tutorials! Jessie not only is a great instructor, but a great performer as well . Although her voice is beautiful, she doesn't make me feel inadequate or intimidated. Her lessons are always fun to me because of her sense of humour and kindness. Overall, I've had a great experience with Jessie and can't wait to see her again!"

Want to Someday Star On Broadway? 3 Tips from an Expert

Dreaming about someday starring on the Broadway stage? Here, Los Angeles, CA teacher Meredith P. shares her expert tips to help you get there...   As an audience member, you can sit back and relax at a Broadway show, and not truly understand the work that it takes to get to that coveted stage and the tremendous blood, sweat, and tears that go into each performance. As with athletes, the only thing the audience sees is the end result. A lot of times it can be intoxicating and glamor …
