Gabriel is an amazing coach. He takes the time to explain in detail how to discover a character in an easy to understand way. As a beginner he has really helped me learn to break down a script and understand what is going on. He teaches you how to set yourself apart from the crowd in an audition. I highly recommend Gabriel to anyone seeking to better their craft or begin acting!

Gabriel developed a proprietary method of accent reduction that makes it easy to focus on the areas that need change or improvement. The method, combined with Gabriel’s passion for teaching, make the classes dynamic and productive. He quickly identified my problematic areas, and patiently worked with me on changes I needed to make to the way I pronounce certain sounds.
He also provides ample resources and direction for exercises in between the lessons to make the progress faster. I highly recommend Gabriel for accent reduction classes.

Practicing with Vandi improves my skills more quickly than practicing alone and she is very good at not only answering questions via the internet tutoring but through phone as well. She is very prompt and consistent and provides easy to read materials for my skill level. I'm very happy with my purchase through Take Lessons so far. This is my first time using this website and it is my third lesson as I am new to piano. I have already recommended this site to other people.

It is my belief that music should be exciting and fun. Music is very rewarding and all ages can enjoy it. I look forward to meeting you and helping you create beautiful music!
My musical career began when I was nine years old playing the flute and violin. I started singing in choir at 11 and started theatre at 13. I studied acting at the Actor Training Program, a subset of Solano Community College. I’ve also performed in professional shows around the Bay Area, with companies such as Contra Costa Civic Theatre, Missouri Street Theatre, and Lamplighters Music Theatre. I recently graduated from Circle in the Square Theatre School with a diploma in Musical Theatre. I’m now based in Brooklyn, ready to work with anyone within the five boroughs!
I’ve studied French on and off since I was 8 years old, continuing throughout high school and completing the major requirements for an associates degree in French, plus an extra semester. I also taught sixth and seventh graders an Intro to French class, where the goal was to make learning a new language fun. I am prepared to meet you at your level, and help you reach your goals. The lessons will be mostly in French, so you can get as much immersion as possible. Cultural experiences will also be a part of the lesson, including food, music, and history. I want to know what your objective is, so I can create a lesson plan tailored to your needs.

I started cooking when I was nine years old. My mother was in the hospital for nine days, and I was left to my father’s care. He’s a great father, but an absent-minded man who only ate once a day, so I lived off of what I could make for myself-cereal and soy sauce top ramen. I vowed to never be dependent on someone else to cook for me, and I want to give that same independence to you! I’ll teach you how to make simple flavorful dishes on a budget, so that you can be in control of what you eat (and hopefully we wont make too big a mess in the process).

It's an amazing feeling when you find someone who is a master at the craft and can teach it too!
Shauna's previous extensive theatre training and instruction is UNDENIABLE. Because of this, she brings much more to the table than the average acting coach.
She made me realize there's SO much more than just breaking down a scene and creating a character. She made me think about where the character is going physically as well as emotionally, and why. I continue to grow and improve with each lesson with her. I'm so lucky to have found Shauna, and strongly recommend her to all actors.

Shauna is an absolutely incredible voice/acting teacher. She took the time to meet me where I was and encouraged me to be confident in the skills I already possessed. As a dancer, it is often scary to use your voice because it isn’t something we often exercise. Shauna helped me gain incredible knowledge in a new instrument. I was preparing for an important audition and with the tools she gave me I was able to have incredible success on a nearly impossible time constraint! I highly recommend Shauna for all levels :)

I can help any student to sing with freedom, confidence, and expression.
My personal passion is classical music and musical theater, but I firmly believe that great technique is essential to any and every style. I look forward to meeting you and helping you to become a better musician!

"Ariel is a great teacher. He is patient and he encouraged in a great way. I am very happy and your school should be very proud to count with such a great
teacher. I am a true beginner and he gave me vocal and breathing exercises that will hopefully lead me to tune and sing. I am a teacher of English and my goal is not to perform . However I realized that singing is a very relaxing and therapeutic hobby. thanks a lot!!"
"My daughter was very reluctant to start voice lessons. Molly was able to quickly put her at ease. After only two lessons, I can already tell a differenc
e in the quality of my daughter's singing voice."
"Annie is DONE and went well! We were all so impressed by Eliza’s confidence and grace under pressure (she handled a couple prop mishaps without missing a
cue!) and can’t thank you enough for working with her on the Annie songs. She had a mic on so it was a good thing she was already really comfortable with the songs as they didn’t get to practice with the mic until the dress rehearsal right before the show. Only 3 (her, Annie and Tessie) of the 10 orphans on stage were mic-ed, so we could really hear her. The time and money we spent with you was sooooo worth it. Thanks for being such an amazing singing teacher!"
"I have been working with LK for about a month and I couldn't be happier with my classes. My voice has only gotten stronger since I started. She is a marve
lous teacher and person. There is no doubt in my mind that I'm learning from the best!"
"Professionalism is the first word to come to mind regarding Michelle. I have had over a decade of music and voice lessons with various teachers. By far, M
ichelle is the most professional educator. Michelle understands that our voices are like any other instrument, and has a holistic approach to the health of the body and voice. With her guidance I am confident I will sing healthy and strong well into my senior years. Personality would be met second word for Michelle. She is very engaging and as excited about my progress as I am. She inspires the confidence that we can reach our goals and beyond. This has been time and money well spent."
"Molly is awesome and tons of fun! She is such a joy to work with. Great for any level of singing."
"My daughter has been taking lessons for a few months now and the results have been amazing. Natasha has brought her out of her shell and helped her become
confident in her singing abilities. She teaches such interesting details about vocal methods. She is amazing."
"Absolutely worth the time and the fees.
Vanessa is an excellent teacher. She is very knowledgeable and experienced in her field, and does a wonderful job
passing that on. My son has improved incredibly in a short time. She is also a great confidence builder, she makes my son feel that he can learn to sing any song he chooses and sing it well. She is also very personable and easy to work with. We are both very glad we chose her for lessons."
