I've played guitar and bass guitar for many years and am happy to share my experience and skills with novice players. I play and enjoy all genres of music - rock, pop, jazz, hip-hop, country. You name it!

About Gio

I studied music at UCF (Orlando), focusing on classical and jazz guitar, but I also have years of experience playing rock, blues, folk, hip-hop, and musical theater on both guitar and drums.

I have been teaching guitar, drums, and piano for about eight years to students of all ages. Music is what I'm passionate about and it's what I enjoy. I want to inspire that same passion into the hearts and minds of others.

*** Lesson Details ***
I am a laid-back teacher, fun, and I focus on the needs, abilities, and ambitions of the student. In turn, students must realize that learning an instrument takes a lot of work and dedication. One can't expect to learn very much if s/he only practices or thinks about the instrument during the lesson. If the student is willing to put some time into practicing, then I will help them go far!

*** Studi

o Equipment ***
I have several guitars, a drum kit, djembe, mandolin, clarinet and full-size keyboard.

*** Specialties ***
Guitar: Classical, jazz, American or Irish folk, rock and pop; lead or rhythm.
Drums & Percussion: All genres
Piano: Classical (includes sight reading)

Private Bass Guitar Teacher

College Performance Degree in Bass
Diploma from Grove School of Music in Bass
20 years professional experience of Bass Playing

About John

Hello,

Thanks so much for taking the time to inquire about studying music with me.

Music and studying music has always been a passionate experience for me. I have been so blessed with the teachers and fellow musicians in my life. You should realize that your study of music may start with me, but it will last your entire lifetime. I hope that all of your life you will have a rewarding relationship to music and the spirit of great sounds!

I have performed in great jazz clubs in New York, on Broadway, and performing arts centers across the country. I'm currently playing in many great performing ensembles. I have put out two CD's as a leader and played on multiple CD's for other artists.

It has been my pleasure to teach privately, as well as in the classroom for 15 years. I enjoy performing many different types of music. I pri

de myself on being very open minded in terms of musical taste. Never apologize for liking what you like! I bet there is something in that music which is great. I can't wait to learn something from the music you introduce to me.

I be glad to provide a full resume to anyone who requests it.

*** Lesson Details ***

My most important goal for each student is that they get to where they want to be musically.

I want the student to be able to play the way he or she wants to play. If you want to learn to play one song, that is great! If you want to learn to play one classical etude that is just as great! If you want to learn how to play in a salsa band, bravo! I treat the desires of my students as my curriculum. Each student will receive special prep time from me each week. I pride myself in taking the time and energy to prepare for each meeting. Every time you complete a lesson, it is my hope that you are walking away as a better musician.

In the beginning I hope to find what will musically interests you the most. Usually, you might have a goal that requires you to play on a higher level than you do presently. If that is true, we might take some time to figure out a road map to get you to that place. Along the way, I'm sure you and I will learn many new concepts and techniques that aid you in becoming the bassist/musician you want to be.

And rest assured, the teacher always learns from the student...this is the best part of teaching: learning from the student.

*** Studio Equipment ***

Studio: 3 electric basses, plenty of amps and chords, one acoustic bass, piano, ukulele, guitar, computer playback and recording.

*** Travel Equipment ***
As requested

*** Specialties ***
I have been lucky to play tons of different types of music. I believe I can give musicians and aspiring musicians a deep understanding of what is most important in many different styles of music. Music I have been lucky enough to study and play professionally: Jazz, Rock, Funk, Afro-Cuban, Brazilian, Blues, Classical, Pop.
I'm also a very good transcriber, so if there is a song you heard on the radio we can definitely play it! Ear training could be an area in which I could be of service to you as well.
I have many arranging and composing credits and I would be glad to help students in this area whenever requested.

Wether you are shooting for the Hollywood Bowl or just want to jam out with your buddies, I am here to help you reach your goals! We will cover everything from bass lines and licks to basic theory and your favorite tunes.

About Moa

Having grown up with two teaching parents and a teaching sister, I think it was pretty clear what I was going to be when I grew up. After touring all over the world, having songs on TV and radio and being signed both as an artist and a songwriter, I have learned some amazing things and I love passing that knowledge on through teaching. Being able to share the joy music has continued to bring me is an awesome feeling.

As my student, you will learn how to play and sing your favorite tunes, write songs, learn songs by ear, music theory and everything in between. You will also learn from my mistakes (like how to keep playing after breaking your foot on tour) and get real-life tips and tricks to help you reach your goals, no matter how big or small. I got you! I specialize in pop/rock and guitar for girls, but all genres and students are w

elcome.

You can contact me with questions above ^^ or book your first lesson to the right —> to get started today!

Choose from one of my exciting lesson plans!

- Guitar 101: (acoustic or electric) We will work on your favorite songs, chords, melody, ear training, technique, scales, theory and more. I will also provide instruction on playing guitar and singing simultaneously.

- Singing 101: We will cover the basics you need to sing with proper technique. We will also tackle breath support, upper, middle and lower register, vocal stamina, scales and we will learn your favorite songs. I will provide instruction on singing harmonies, tackling extreme vocals, and how to play guitar and sing simultaneously. We will also cover artist development for students who are interested.

- Songwriting: We will cover how to structure a song and how melody and chords work together. We will also cover how to write killer lyrics! I am signed myself as a songwriter with BMG and will give you my best tips and tricks (#1: do it every day). We will analyze a few of your favorite tunes and figure out how to recreate those elements and put your own flavor on it. We will also cover artist development for students who are interested

Some of my recording credits include:
Signed to BMG Production music, writer for Vanderpump Rules on Bravo and my single “Better With You” received airplay on national radio in Sweden. I am currently working on my sophomore ep to be released later this year through The Den//BMG.

Slap technique in the style of Red Hot Chili Peppers

About Chris

My name is Chris B. and I've been playing music for most of my life.

The best lesson that I've personally learned is that a musician is never done learning. Once you start believing that you know everything there is to know about your instrument then you've stopped growing musically. Personally, I've also learned that I enjoy sharing my knowledge of music with others and exposing students to new techniques and concepts.

I strongly believe that these traits are the most important aspects of teaching music to others. No matter how advanced my playing skills might progress, I’ll always be able to relate to any type of student because I’m still learning something new everyday!

I have been performing and teaching bass for the last ten years, and absolutely love working with students to refine their technique on such a wonderful instrument. I have taught both privately and through Deerfield Academy. My work with bands like Old Flame and Sodada has provided me the opportunity to tour the country and record extensively, and I bring all of this experience into each and every lesson.

In our bass lessons together, we will focus both on refining and developing the essential techniques needed to play the bass at various levels (finger/picking techniques, scales/modes, various warmup exercises and routines, etc) while also placing a great deal of attention on how to employ those techniques musically. A huge part of our lessons will involve listening to and learning how to play a diverse repertoire of music, from contemporary pop, and hip-hop to 70's era funk and soul, to 60's jazz and rock, curated to match each student's interests, while also exploring new ...

About Nathan

Teaching and playing music have always been closely linked for me throughout my career. I began performing professionally at thirteen, and two years later began giving private lessons, constantly incorporating new techniques and lessons I was learning from my gigs into my teaching curriculum. This early start in both areas has provided a wonderful foundation for my teaching and performing careers, both of which have continued for more than a decade and a half. During that time, I've had the joy of working with students of all ages as a drum instructor at Northfield Mount Hermon, a music teacher at Greens Farms Academy, a general music and chorus teacher at Amherst Middle School, a summer music instructor at Deerfield Academy, and with continued private lessons. I've also recorded drums on over 20 albums and played hundreds of shows with a

diverse group of artists across the country.

In my lessons, my highest priority is meeting students at their level and making sure that our work is helping them to progress towards theirs goals as a musician/instrumentalist. With a combination of focus on musicality, technique, and developing a musical vocabulary, students will both improve their fundamental skills on their instrument, while also expanding their more general musical understanding, all within a safe, supportive, and encouraging learning environment. I look forward to working with you!

I learned a lot in my first lesson with Brian. He clearly knows the guitar inside and out. The pace was on the faster side, but he answered all my questions about technique and theory. Beyond what I wanted to focus on (technique), he's laying a solid foundation for theory so that I don't have go rely on the capo or online tabs as much. He also gave me useful scale exercises to build up finger independence and articulation. So far so good.

Most other teachers don't give you songs to play on your second lesson, but she did and I felt totally ready for it! I was really hesitant at how lessons on Skype would go but they rock! I am able to see her show me things and able to hear her play her bass guitar. We are now sometimes even able to play duets together and I think that is a really neat experience. She is teaching me all the things that I would need to know if I were going to play in a band or write my own songs. Overall I have had a great experience with her and would HIGHLY recommend her to anyone!"
