I believe in the extraordinary power of music to communicate, to inspire and, often, to heal. That belief underlies all my work. I’ve been teaching Broadway style singing to adults and kids for over ten years, focusing on how to produce a big, beautiful, and vocally safe sound. My students run the gamut from musical theater and opera professionals to kids and total beginners.

My goal is to help you find the power to express through singing your unique self. It doesn't matter whether your voice is professional quality or whether it's even "good" in the conventional sense. It's YOUR voice. It has its own sound and characteristics, its own particular beauty, and the world needs to hear you!

I have advanced training and expertise in the function of the voice, but the most important qualities I offer as a teacher are the simple human ones: understanding, patience, imagination, kindness, enthusiasm, respectfulness and absolute commitment to helping you meet your vocal goals.

Our ultimate goal as a singer is communication, and developing a healthy technique enables us to express freely! Whether you're singing on the stage professionally, or in front of friends and family, the goal is still the same- to sing your very best- and the tools we will build together will last a lifetime! Healthy Belt and Legit Singing will be addressed as well as many styles which are present in Musicals past and present.

Beginner- Exploring the vast canon of musical theater to find your personal niche, beginning singing technique appropriate to show tunes, and learning how to let go of self-consciousness so it's fun to sing in front of others!

Intermediate- Building your repertoire and audition options, adding skills to your technique, learning how to appropriately act the song.

Advanced- Refining skills and technique, focus on performance.

I have many students that have or are performing on Broadway, in London's West End shows, on National tours and Las Vegas Broadway shows such as:
Dreamgirls, Spamalot, White Christmas, Lion King, Miss Saigon, Saturday Night Fever, The Producers, Mary Poppins, We Will Rock You, West Side Story, Hairspray to name a few.

I have been a singer for over 20 years and have worked with a myriad of coaches and choir directors all over the US. I've been in over 15 musicals including lead and starring roles. We will work on diction, support, tone, emotion, staging, sight reading, and music theory.

I've been teaching broadway singing for 12 years and my students have gone on to receive scholarship money from colleges and entrances to performance high schools. Within the first few lessons, you'll be able to grasp foundational singing and breathing technique and as time goes on you'll be able to start adding to your repertoire. I specialize in audition preparation/creating shows/building repertoire, typically use opera books, and have the following tools available for your lessons: composition book and a pen/pencil. I love working with students of all ages and experience levels and I can't wait to meet you!
