Jan is a fun and dynamic instructor whose patience and attention to the needs of her students has been instrumental in helping my daughter enjoy and thrive in her voice and piano lessons. While some instructors, in our experience, have been excellent musicians but poor teachers, Jan's style and flexibility make her an ideal person for passing on her knowledge to students, so that they in turn develop their own musical talents and shine. Many thanks, Jan, for your gifts!

for greatness no matter what their strengths and weaknesses are. No matter your age or ability level I will help you set your goals and reach them. All students should want to learn. I expect my students to be prepared and have an open mind. Learning to sing is a process. I focus on building technique and a strong musical foundation and customize my lessons for every student and individual needs. This was my first private lesson with Dr. Daniel, most importantly he made me feel very comfortable and I wasn't afraid to sing notes in front of him. Dr.Daniel took the time to gather my history and take notes about what I said. Dr. Daniel was very thorough for our first visit, even though I had only booked my first class to be 30 minutes. I look forward to taking more lessons with him and am excited for our next lesson! Thank you so much!

Though my time as a student with Dr. Dan was short, it was very valuable. Even though the lessons were about singing, it helped me gain a general confidence in myself regarding posture, and using a loud voice. He has given a number of exercises to develop my breathing, vibrato, tone, and lower registers to use on my own. Dr. Dan is a great teacher who makes the atomsphere of the lessons very friendly and I would highly recommend him!

I can teach you a variety of styles! My singing journey began in classical Opera, with vocalist Anna Dieterich, and I performed in various countries such as Scotland, Jordan, and Holland. I then studied musical theatre vocals at the Circle in the Square theatre program, and have been performing in musicals since then. Currently I also perform as a folk/blues/jazz singer, in New York and Alaska. I can provide ear training, teachings in how to improvise, how to work with an accompaniment, and how to develop your personal style.

About Jesse
Hi! I'm a performer in New York, from Alaska. You can usually catch me singing tunes in bars, spitting out slam poetry in cafes, or performing circus tricks in burlesque halls, but after performing my biggest passion is skill sharing with artists. I firmly believe in growing our performers community, so I want to be able to teach developing artists the skills I have picked up over the years.
There's no such thing as a wrong way to do art, its all about finding YOUR way to do art.

I am an opera singer who grew up singing bluegrass. I love all kinds of music, I love people at all skill levels, and I’m everyone’s biggest cheerleader. I studied at a major music conservatory, lead the voice program at a dance academy for two years, and have taught hundreds of kids at inner city schools throughout the Midwest. Patience is my middle name.

About Maureen
I am a professional opera singer who grew up singing bluegrass. I graduated from Peabody Conservatory of Music with a Bachelors of Music, specifically voice.

I've been singing professionally for 15 years in a variety of settings: I grew up in a family bluegrass band, sang musical theater through high school and college, sing in a female folk ukulele duo, and have a thriving career as a classical soprano in Chicago.

I love teaching students of all skill levels. For two years I was the head of the voice department for a dance academy. While there I maintained 15 students of varying age and skill level, and created a curriculum for their dance and voice integrated musical theater program. I also created a music education program for inner city schools in Milwaukee that had their arts funding taken away.

If you choose me as your teacher, I
'll be your biggest cheerleader. I'm patient, kind, and truly want those I work with to sing beautifully and healthily. Let's make some beautiful music together!

Maureen was a student of mine for 6 years, a student of my own graduate school voice teacher's for 4 years, and a student of my current voice teacher for the last few years. Since she was 13 years old, she has understood vocal technique in a way that some singers two or three times her age would be fortunate to grasp. She often helped other singers find their way through vocal issues, even as a teenager. I have always felt that she was meant to teach voice and anyone lucky enough to work with her will have a great experience and will learn a great deal! (Also, she's a great person.)
