Daniela was great at helping my daughter feel more comfortable during her first lesson. She was very knowledgeable and gave really good advice to take home and work on.

Daniela was very patient with my child. My daughter was a little nervous but Daniela made her comfortable and boosted her confidence.
Tammy F.
Daniela is wonderful and our lessons are always fun. She lets me play pieces that I enjoy plus introduces me to new music that she believes I will also enjoy. She allows me to play freely but will correct my mistakes (wrong fingering :). But this only make me a better player and learning a new piece easier. As an adult learner I cannot say enough good things about her and her style. I really enjoy my lessons with her and I highly recommend her.

I started playing piano at age seven when my mother enrolled me in lessons. I have been playing ever since, and I absolutely love it. I began teaching private piano lessons in 2003, and have taught many thousands of lessons since that time. I have experience accompanying choirs, instrumentalists, and vocalists, as well as playing as a soloist in various piano competitions and recitals.

In my piano lessons I use the Faber's fabulous Piano Adventures series. In my opinion, they are the best books on the market, emphasizing reading by intervals as opposed to memorizing note names. This method minimizes student frustration while also decreasing the amount of time it takes a student to read a new song. Piano Adventures also focuses on developing sight reading and ear training skills, something most developing musicians don't study until college-level music courses.

I prefer to introduce students to the great composers as early as possible, starting with short etudes and then ...

Angela is the most inspiring teacher I've ever had. Aside from having played the violin for a year prior, I was a complete adult beginner on piano. My passion is Baroque-era keyboard works, and Angela immediately got me started on Bach Prelude No. 2 from 12 Little Preludes. Within 12 lessons, I was able to play the entire piece with ease. Before starting with Angela, If you would have told me that in under 12 weeks I'd be playing Bach, I'd have called you crazy. Angela's strong suit is that she is confident that you can play any piece you put your mind to, regardless of experience, while inspiring and motivating you to do so.

Aside from technique, each lesson was equivalent to a college course in music theory. She understands that technique is only half of playing an instrument and the importance of knowing the reason each note falls where it does. This may sound overwhelming, but Angela never gives you more than you can handle, while challenging you to improve at a rapid pace. It was an extremely gratifying experience and I am thrilled at the progress that I made in under a year.

My lessons are unique in that I make studying piano enjoyable and beginners start to feel the love of music, and want to succeed. I get beginners {adults or children playing pieces very quickly. Sight-reading and theory are incorporated into beginning lessons {students do not realize they are learning these}. Later theory is taught as a separate part of the lesson. In the 15 years I have taught, most beginning students are playing at a 3rd year level at the end of one year. Intermediate and advanced students learn history of the composers works they are playing, and how the composes' lives affect the interpretation. I teach the technique need for a piece. I do not have my students practicing scales and other rote exercises. My students learn all the technique need as part of the pieces they are working on.

Five reasons why my lessons can be a unique experience, if, and only if:
1- You are looking for a professionally trained performing artist and instructor (with more than 25 years of experience teaching ranging from beginner toddlers at home to advanced musicians in academic studio setting) who is fun to work with.
2- You look for an individualized approach tailored to your musical needs (Piano Technique, sight-singing, Score reading, Theory, Aural skills).
3- You or your child are busy and want to make the best of your time learning or practicing and therefore need a well-disciplined teacher who can match your schedule; I have a strong Time Management & Follow up System for the lessons. (My philosophy specially for beginners : If it is not measurable , it is not done the right way. )
4- You actively and carefully read the details (of education and teaching experience) of instructors profile and ask for reviews because you care enough for your time and money to know the ...

My son has been playing piano for 9 years but he hit a wall with ISSMA state silver in piano solo last year, so our goal is achieve piano solo state gold this year. We made the switch to Ardalan didn't know what to expect just 2 months before ISSMA events and my son has earned ISSMA state distinction gold medal this year with Ardalan's help and hard working.

Ardalan's teaching method is eye opening to us after many piano teachers we have experienced in the past. He has been teaching my son many technical piano playing skills he desperately needs but no other teachers have ever taught him before. And Ardalan's performance preparation tips are so helpful for my son to perform in the real event.

Hi! My name is Bria and I am a classically trained pianist of over 20 years. Training with only the best in Ventura County, I completed all levels of Certificate of Merit by the age of 13, and have been teaching since 15, winning various competitions. After consulting with my students and discussing goals and visions, we come up with a plan and which direction to go in that includes a classical based repertoire with a strong technical foundation. We will learn proper technique, fundamental music theory, music history, songs of your choice, and consistent check ins. You will be provided with sheet music but I will also always recommend your own copies. Also you will receive a lesson summary and weekly homework assignments and notes. For my more recreational students, all is negotiable and everything will be based on your personal goals. I look forward to working with you!

In my teaching philosophy, I always teach students to understand the music better throughout the historical concepts. To let them enhance their understanding of the connection between music and life.

I also stress that to be a good musician or artist, you have to learn how to be a good human being first. Because, people’s personality or character could reflect in their music as always.

1. To train the basic fundamental techniques 2. To learn the different style of the music throughout Baroque, Classical, Romantic and Modern music. 3. To train the performance mode 4. To learn how to "practice"

My 4.5 year old daughter had her first piano lesson with Jingci. I had learned how to play piano when I was a kid, so I could tell Jingci knows how to teach the basic foundation very well. She's firm yet patient and got my daughter to follow her instructions even though her attention span isn't that great at her age.

"Karen is very professional and willing to do what it takes to see to the success of her students. Many instructors are not understanding when things come up and you must change a lesson day or time. Karen is very understanding and will work to help you. My daughter has had 3 instructors and Karen is the best. My child has greatly advanced and others notice it. Where ever we go she is asked to show her talent. I would highly recommend Karen as your instructor. She also offers the best price. She is well worth the investment."

"I have the highest praise for Neil. I am an adult, and I studied for nine years as a child and started studying again about ten years ago and have studied with several teachers during that time. I work on some difficult pieces, and Neil can always explain to me how to play the passages I am having trouble with and make it seem easy. Also, he can demonstrate for me how something should be played because he is such an excellent pianist. I am so happy I found Neil, and highly recommend him."

"Annette Karges has been my adult piano teacher for two years, and I am starting my third year. I chose Ms. Karges, because she was earning a degree in Music Pedagogy when I started. Since my career has been a public school teacher, I appreciated having the chance to learn from a person whose major is learning the best way to teach people of all ages.
Taking lessons is exciting and fun. Ms. Karges finds ways to teach each new skill and piece in innovative ways that bring out the composer's intentions.
I recommend that you try out her studio for yourself and your loved ones to become motivated to improve and enjoy learning how to play piano better."

I was able to complete all 6 levels of NYSSMA, and after graduating high school I began teaching lessons myself using the knowledge of theory and technique I gained through lessons with Lynne.
