Tom is very patient with younger students that get distracted easily. One of my children is very interested in learning Irish folk music and Tom is great about helping him explore his interests in music. I love having lessons in home. It's very convient and allows me to keep my toddler entertained while my other children are doing lessons. Lessons are also affordable. I would definitely recommend Tom!

Tom is an excellent harp teacher! He’s guided me in the right directions on my harp journey, expanded my knowledge of folk music, and helped me with my technical skills.
I teach viola using the Suzuki method, with an emphasis on technique and intonation.
I am Andy. I am a graduate of the California Institute of the Arts with a BFA degree in Composition/Violin Performance. I will be attending school again in the Fall to get my teaching certificate to teach in the public school system. My violin playing has been featured on Glee, with Kevin Olusola (Pentatonix), and guitar featured on shows like Rachel Ray and Dr. Phil. My main passions are songwriting, and collaborating with other great musicians all over the country.
I have been a private music teacher for the past 8 years and it has been an extremely rewarding journey. My students love their lessons with me, and parents love that I am patient and more open-minded than most music teachers out there. Students say I am friendly and funny, and fun to learn with. My teaching style on the violin is centered around the Suzuki method, but I l
eave a lot of flexibility to cater lessons around your interests. If you ask to play a certain song, I will find a way to help you play it. Every goal is achievable with practice, dedication, and fun!
Andy always manages to motivate my daughter and get her to enjoy playing her viola, which is no mean feet! She looks forward to the lessons and has improved greatly over the last couple of years.

Andy has been teaching my son piano for the last two years. My son always looks forward to going to piano with Andy and he has made so much progress. Andy is very communicative about my son's progress and ideas he has for new goals. Andy is very good at helping my son keep his enthusiasm for piano. He is also sensitive about where my son is at in terms of what he needs to strengthen or if any adjustments need to be made. I highly recommend Andy, not only as a music teacher, but as a person with whom you would want yourself or children to spend time with each week.

Margaret is a wonderful instructor who provides excellent teaching. I really appreciated that she made a point of not only explaining how to hold the bow, the violin, etc, but also explaining why it's important to use certain positions and posture and how it all comes together as one continues to practice. She's also super friendly and how's a very positive and welcoming demeanor.

I am a beginner. Her instructions are very clear and simple. She makes sure that I understand the basics concepts really well. I really enjoy going to her classes.
Lessons are tailored to fit each individual student's ability and goals. I believe in challenging students while maintaining a supportive and encouraging environment. Lessons will cover music theory, technique, and solo pieces. The goal is to develop in each student the specific skills needed to play a string instrument as well as to nurture an understanding and love for music. Lessons take place at my apartment in Southeast Denver, near Hampden and I-25. Students are expected to prepare for and participate annual studio recitals. In addition to lessons, students are strongly encouraged to participate in a music ensemble program such as Suzuki group classes, school orchestra, or youth or community orchestras.
I was raised in a musical family in my home country of Bulgaria, where I attended a highly competitive full-time performing arts school from age 6. I was trained in the Russian school of violin playing and have found this to be a very successful method for my younger students in the United States. Another important pedagogical mentor for me is my viola teacher at Rice University, Ivo-Jan Van der Werff, who has developed a systematic approach to building technique fundamentals in advanced violists and violinists. I believe that studying music is very valuable for instilling self-motivation, discipline, and dedication for students of all ages. I was involved in the Mercury Orchestra's outreach partnership with YES Prep schools, which serve underprivileged communities in Houston. I was also a string specialist at the Village School in Housto
n, and my students there and in other public schools in the area excelled in the All-Region and All-State competitions.
I've been taking lessons since April and have noticed a huge improvement thanks to Koko. He's very positive and offers insightful corrections and alternatives where needed(but also pushes me when needed). Highly recommend!!
After more than 12 years of teaching experience my lessons got to the perfect point of balance of being fun and educative, engaging but not overwhelming, personalized but keeping up with the national stanidards so you can see progress, you will feel like practicing and being able to play with others. Just if you want!
Angela Solis is a violin and viola teacher with more that 12 years of experience. She started her music studies in Spain, where she finished her Bachelor Degree in music in 2004 and where most of her performance and teaching experience was forged between the classical, contemporary and regional styles. Her experience in performance includes playing in several orchestras, ensembles, recording studios and as the lead singer and founder of her band “Costellas”.
Her teaching experience was also broadened when she decided to attend multiple Suzuki and Rolland method workshops in Spain and set off traveling around Asia, where Angela also worked as a Violin and Viola teacher and came in contact with the ABSRM system.
One of her greatest professional achievements was to obtain the Viola teacher position in the state music system in Spain. It
is a hard process that can take years and where one has to prove a high level in performance, teaching skills and instrument related knowledge. Angela got the 6th highest score in the test that year of 2008.
Being an instrument teacher is not easy, and teaching a string instrument is really hard during the first stages. Angela invested lots of time and effort promoting both instruments and motivating the scarce students she first got so they could thrive. Some of them pursue today successful music careers and the number of Viola and violin teachers in the school she started doubled in 3 years.
Nowadays, Angela lives in San Francisco, where she moved around 2 years ago, got married, and have some private students while taking private lessons herself from a teacher of the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. She is also learning composition and Music production and practices chamber music whenever she has the chance.
We learn the basics of technic, lesson songs and theory using the classical approach. We have fun through music games and challenge assignments where my students earn rewards in various creative ways.
I love music and teaching musical instruments to others so that they can enjoy music too! I enjoy teaching all ages and have 40 years of experience teaching my instruments.
I started playing violin at age 10 and within two years I was performing solos on stage. At age 14, I was invited to be guest soloist for community orchestras and the regional symphony. I liked being excused from school for these performances and by age 16, I was given a scholarship for early entrance to college. I had a violin performance major with a piano, viola, cello minor.
I teach to the individual needs of each student and we can go as fast or slow as we need to in the learning process. I teach various styles of music, such as classical, celtic, wedding songs, fiddling, and praise & worship.
In my career, besides teaching, I have played in the citywide symp
hony and some community orchestras. I have directed a community string orchestra and other musicals for children. I have ensemble experience with duets, trios, quartets and string ensembles, also.
I have traveled to 16 countries and taught music to students around the world in international schools and churches.
Join me in a fun and exciting time of focused learning.
Feel free to ask any questions you would like and I will get back with you! Miss Jennifer Underwood
In addition to my Violin training, I have taken viola lessons and have taught viola since moving to Ohio.
Violinist Andrew Paa enjoys a varied career as an educator, performer, and arts advocate. A dedicated teacher, Andrew has worked with students privately and in music schools in South Dakota, Iowa and Ohio. Currently, he maintains a private studio. Previously he has taught at the Hudson and Fairlawn Schools of Music, Firestone High School, and the Western Reserve Institute of Music. His students have achieved a high degree of success, earning college scholarships and assuming leadership roles in their ensembles.
Andrew has performed across the United States and internationally in venues such as Cleveland's Playhouse Square and the Vienna Konzerthaus. Professionally, he performed, for three seasons, in the first violin section of the Sioux City Symphony. He has played with and assumed principle positions with several collegiate ensembl
es including the Luther College Symphony Orchestra, the University of South Dakota Symphony, the Kent State University Orchestra and the University of Akron Symphony Orchestra. Dedicated to performing chamber music, he currently plays with and is the manager of the Cuyahoga String Quartet. Additionally, he has founded several ensembles including the Enigma String Quartet, the Rosen String Quartet, and several piano trios.
Andrew earned a MM in Chamber Music and Violin Performance from Kent State University where he studied with Cathy Meng Robinson (Miami String Quartet) and Jung-Min Amy Lee (Associate Concertmaster with The Cleveland Orchestra). He studied chamber music with members of the Miami String Quartet and the Verve Chamber Players. Prior to Kent, he earned a MM in Violin Performance from the University of South Dakota studying violin with Dr. Eunho Kim and chamber music with members of the Rawlins Piano Trio. He earned his BA in Music from Luther College where he studied with Drs. Virginia Strauss and Jubal Fulks. Additional studies were undertaken with Frederick Halgedahl, Dan Auberbach and Maria Peters.
I started working with Andrew after an 18 month hiatus and am very pleased. Andrew's teaching style is very adaptable, which for an adult student who works full time, is great. Some weeks I don't have a lot of time to practice and we focus on technique. Other times, we work on music and technique. He is also great about explaining the "how" and the "why" of why musicians should spend time on scales, technique, etc;
I would absolutely recommend Andrew to adult students and younger student.s

Andrew is an extremely knowledgeable and talented teacher. He explains technique exceptionally well, has an impressive understanding of phrasing and musicality while playing, and is very patient and understanding, he has a great sense of humor, while also giving students the right amount of push they need. He has high expectations but they are always attainable for his students, and he is very flexible with each students unique needs. I highly recommend him as an instructor, he is worth every penny and students always see quick and impressive improvement; I know I did while I studied with him.
Have you or your kids always wanted to learn to play the viola? I am an experienced strings teacher specialized in beginner and intermediate students of ALL ages. I believe that it is never too late to learn to play the viola, no matter your age! I teach classical viola through Suzuki method and also modern viola with a focus on rock, jazz and improvisation.
After studying piano for almost 10 years I decided I wanted to learn a new instrument and began taking violin lessons when I was 16 years old. In spite of people telling me that I was “too old” to learn to play the violin, I continued practicing and one year later I joined my first orchestra. In 2016 I graduated with a BA in Music from the University of Massachusetts Boston and I am now the violinist of Boston-based fusion rock band " The Sunset Kings". In November of 2018, I released my Spanish debut single "Ni Una Más" under my artist name "Hannah Schzde". "Ni Una Más" is now available in every music streaming service world-wide! In addition to offering private violin and piano lessons and performing with The Sunset Kings, I am also a studio violinist and perform with different orchestra pits in the Boston area while I continue to wri
te and record new material for my upcoming debut EP. ***Note: My availability is flexible! Please send me a message if my calendar doesn't fit with your schedule and we'll work it out!***

Hannah does a wonderful job with my daughter, she started with how to tune and set up the violin. Hannah does a great job working with my daughter showing her the proper technique and providing her exercises and activities to do in between lessons. You can tell Hannah loves teaching and music.
