Open and individualized lessons will teach each student in a unique fashion to fit them best. Chords, theory and musical reading will be the main focus of these lessons. My individualized approach works well for many students so that they learn what they want, how they want, and see the results that they specifically are looking for.

Students can expect to learn anything from basic chords to advanced theory and improvisational techniques on their instrument.

Although bass guitar is a secondary instrument for me, I have always taken much enjoyment in playing and teaching it. I have been playing bass for nearly as long as guitar and feel that it is a very important instrument that could be just as rewarding to play as any other instrument. My mastery over bass comes more from my time spent as a guitarist, however I do understand many nuances behind playing bass and can instruct you confidently on the correct/required methods as far as this instrument is concerned.

About Chris

I began teaching music professionally in 2015 and since then it has become my passion. I graduated college with a degree in music and teach professionally as my primary source of income. I regularly teach guitar and bass (4 string 5 string and fretless) as well as introductory piano and even colleg

Chris was patient and informative. I'm an actual beginner with literally just picking up guitar for the first time. He focused on the basics and asked what style I liked to be taught. I'm looking forward to working with him more

My lessons are designed to get my students playing songs and building technique as soon as possible. Because, that’s fun!
I’ve been playing professionally for over 35 years and teaching for over 25 years. I’ve been fortunate to play in several high-profile signed bands (Over the Rhine, Monk and Pay the Girl) and toured all over the world and played on lots of recordings. Fun!
As a teacher, I’ve founds many ways to explain and share this wonderful world of music; because not everyone learns the same way.
I specialize in fretless bass, fretful (lol) bass and upright bass.

About Mike

I studied Jazz Bass/Studio at the Conservatory College of Music at the University of Cincinnati. I’ve been playing professionally for over 35 years. In that time, I’ve played with several high-profile signed bands (Over the Rhine, Monk and Pay The Girl). I’ve toured all over the US and Europe. Thi

Mike is an amazing guitar teacher. We started out having face to face lessons but then Covid-19 made that impossible. We started online lessons and the way Mike teaches online is the same way he does face to face. My son has learned so much and is playing better every day. Mike is vigilant when teaching and is able to show and correct hand movement, eye movement and posture when playing the guitar. I highly recommend Mike Georgin for online guitar lessons for anyone who is wanting to learn the guitar!
Malina
Mike has been the perfect teacher for my 11 year old daughter as she is learning to play bass! He has concentrated on proper technique, reading music, hearing the music, and nuances of what to expect when she gets a “gig” one of these days. He does an excellent job of building on basics and sprinkling in the fun songs so she can also play along with a couple songs she hears on the radio to keep her inspired to learn. I have been amazed with Mike’s ability to relate to someone brand new to the instrument while it is obvious that he, himself, has a very in-depth formally trained skillset himself and knowledge base. I would highly recommend Mike to both new and advanced players alike, for this very reason!
Jim
Mike Georgin is an outstanding instructor. He truly has a gift for teaching. I never stopped being amazed at the depth of his knowledge and professional musical capabilities. His music education plus years of on-stage and recording experience come together in each and every lesson. Mike is very patient, understanding, and works to be sure the lesson concepts are mastered without any pressure. If you just want to play some bass, Mike's your guy! If you want to play bass and learn music theory, Mike's your guy! Mike has the knowledge and experience to go as deep as you, the student, wish to go. I promise you will not regret having Mike as your instructor! He is awesome!

"I've had the pleasure of taking lessons from Ahmad for a couple of years. He is a very knowledgeable and patient instructor with the ability to find minor technical flaws in my playing and easily correct them. I really enjoy his philosophy and musical understanding with a really high ability to dissect and explain elements of a song and relate it to music theory that's easily understandable. On top of that he is a super nice guy that exudes nothing but a positive attitude and gives one the impression that anything is possible in one's musical effort that is really infectious. Don't hesitate to give Ahmad a try."

"I was excited, but intimidated going in because I'm convinced I am musically-challenged. As a beginner, Mike made it easy not to get discouraged so early on. Ahmad covers a lot in 30 mins. I like that he gives a variety of things to work on, and provides ample feedback on ways to improve. This is perhaps the best lessons I've ever found."

Not only is Damien perfecting Joshua's skills, but is introducing Joshua to music composition. I absolutely LOVE THAT!!! "I am very particular about where I receive my education/instructions. I'm extremely particular about educators/instructors. Be it martial-arts, college institutions, or bass playing. I performed an extensive search for a bass instructor, I am a beginner and I wish to become one of the best. Taking this seriously, I decided to go with Ray upon reading his credentials - I did NOT go wrong by doing so! He is very knowledgeable and he exudes attention to detail from his military experience - that's important to me since I am military. I am confident that I will be held to a high standard, not being allowed to slide by for the sake of time and money - but also having fun and being motivated to progress. I would not consider another instructor. When I am close to the advanced level, I will be considered one of the best bass players because of his teaching. Trust me, if I was not satisfied, I WOULD SAY SO!!!!"
