I teach real classical method, using John Thompson's Modern Course for piano, as well as the essential Baroque period music that has been traditionally used for classical training over the past 200 years. (Eg. Anna Magdelena's notebook (J.S. Bach), 2 part inventions by J.S. Bach, Beethoven Sonatas and Sonatinas, Chopin Preludes/Noctures/Waltzes.

I have an enormous respect and love for classical music. I am proud to come from a long line of classical teachers reaching back to Beethoven and Haydn. This musical genealogy informs my teaching. Students choosing to receive a classical piano education will be taught pieces composed by Bach, Beethoven, Brahms, Chopin, Debussy, Haydn, Satie and many other composers of classical music.

I have been teaching piano for over 15 years, both in the classroom and private lesson settings. I believe anyone can learn an instrument-so all ages and skill levels are welcome. I fervently believe that a solid foundation in music theory and technique goes a long way, but I also know that you should love what you do. I have 7+ years of piano teaching experience specializing in beginner and intermediate students. All ages are welcome. I offer a curriculum customized for each student depending on their needs and interests, composed of note reading, ear training, piano technique, music theory, performance skills, and standard piano repertoire. I also provide comprehensive guidance through piano and music theory ABRSM exams.

My specialty is narrowing down the exact root issue that the student is having, which seems like an obstacle and to offer practical solutions to solve this issue. Lessons are structured according to the level and age of the student. I believe that teacher's approach must be flexible and according to the student's need, their personal goals and development.
Apart from introduction and building of pianistical skills and musical understanding - theory and ear training, sight reading, I also try to introduce repertoire from different epoques and genres which helps student broaden their knowledge.
