I have been taking lessons with Sammy for a month now. I am very green when it comes to singing and I am extremely self-conscious about my voice and had never really sung in front of anyone before. Sammy provided me with exactly what I was looking for, direct feedback. At the first lesson, he had me perform a vocal warm-up so that he could evaluate my instrument. We then discussed genres I like, and what goals I was trying to achieve. He then asked me to chose a song to sing and sing it. He identified things off the bat that I had not thought about and gave me exercises to help work on what we discussed. Week to week we built off of what we identified the previous week and I am seeing progress. He is good about explaining things if I don't understand the concept and he provides examples of what he is talking about. It's been a great experience and I highly recommend Sammy as an instructor.

Hello fellow singers! My goal is to help you refine your own unique instrument and help you to express a story and art through the voice!

I grew up taking piano lessons and singing in my church and school choir. I always had a love for all classical music and soon enough fell in love with opera! I begin taking classical voice lessons at the age of 15 and soon realized that my heart and soul belonged to opera and had to continue my studies a lot more in depth.

I went to UCLA where I received my Bachelor of Arts with my emphasis in Opera Performance. Throughout the years spent at UCLA, I not only continued to sing with choral groups, but also performed in every opera. I sang one of the principles roles in Ravel's L'enfant et les sortilèges, and sang one of the principles roles in many opera scenes such as Dorabella from Così fan tutte, Mercedes in Carmen, Second Lady in The Magic Flute, Nerone in L'incorazione di Poppea.

Since I graduated college I have collaborated with ...

Riley is very positive and has many strategies to explain how to place your sound to obtain a full voiced sound. She has been doing lessons online since the stay at home order has been in place. The lessons have still been very helpful in moving me forward and learning new techniques.

"I thought as a theatre teacher that I didn't have much more to learn. I was wrong. Vandi has given me the confidence to sing. I hid in the altos for years and she helped me find the wider range I was seeking. She includes great visualizations in her lessons which helps a visual learner like me. I have the confidence to trust my breath and sing in ways I never thought possible. She is a wonderful teacher. Take lessons from her!"

"Kristin is an excellent teacher. Very patient and very approachable. She is very knowledgeable in both theatre and music. She started me on basics such as breath control, support, and learning to sing as easily as possible. She was very attentive to my goals, in this case it was to learn as well as get ready for an audition for a local musical. I've had a great experience working with her an would recommend her highly. "Firstly, Jameson is not a voice teacher for money. I do not know anyone who genuinely loves music and singing more than him. Jameson's passion for performing is evident from the moment you meet him. His rates are very reasonable considering the top-notch quality of the lessons. He focuses on the fundamentals of releasing your authentic voice rather than specialized techniques to mimic other performers. He listens carefully to your thoughts and feelings throughout each lesson, adjusting accordingly. He challenges you to express how your body is working with your vocals after each try so that you are able to be aware of your voice outside of lessons as well. He ensures that the lesson is fun and fast-paced so that you can feel great strides in vocal improvement with each time.
Thanks to Jameson, my voice has been freed. I sing strongly, with control, and with passion any chance I get. The confidence Jameson has giving me in my singing voice is quite honestly, priceless."

"Melissa has been beyond helpful and informative as an instructor. I've taken 3 lessons so far and I can say that I see a big difference in my singing in such a short amount of time. Before taking lessons, I thought I could only learn how to sing in my "head voice" (ex. Phantom of the Opera) but when I started taking lessons with Melissa, she helped me discover my "chest voice". It really amazed me on how much she can pull out of you!

I can also say that each time I take a lesson with her, I regain a higher amount of self confidence. I honestly couldn't have asked for a better instructor!

Thanks a million Melissa!"

"Fay is such an amazing teacher! I got into Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School thanks to her. Best Teacher I've had, she helps train your voice and goes through the vocal anatomy so you understand techniques such as proper breathing, posture, coordination, grounding, acting, diction...etc. I've been her student for about a year three years now and I have to say that my voice has improved so much as a performer all thanks to her! If you get the chance, at least take a class, you will not regret it!"
