My personal pedagogy is a combination of the basic technical and theoretical aspects of the instrument and what music the student is interested. It is paramount that students of all levels are learning their instrument through performing their favorite music. All necessary technical exercises can be adapted to a specific genre of music. From there I always spend the most time on the student's goals, like learning a new song or perhaps theory and improvisation. My ...

We will play whatever the student would like to learn! I use the Hal Leonard Bass Method with students to give them a solid understanding of the fundamentals of bass guitar playing. I encourage my students to always find new songs that they would like to learn so we can go over them together.
