I see teaching as more than teaching a person to learn the cello, but as an opportunity to accompany students on their journey towards embracing who they are, creating meaningful art, and connecting to the world through music.

No matter the age or prior experience of the student, you can expect a heavy focus on establishing a firm foundation of cello technique. Without this foundation, the student can only progress so much. With the foundation set and solid, the possibilities are endless! I teach tension-free cello playing. There should never be pain or discomfort anywhere in the body which is why I have such a large focus on establishing proper technique.

Hello, my name is Bailey and I love teaching cello! I am a professional pianist and public school orchestra teacher. I have a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education and a Master of Music degree in Piano Performance from the Fredonia School of Music. I am a certified K-12 music teacher in New York State. I have been giving private lessons for 10 years to a variety of learners ranging in age and skill level.
My students walk away each week feeling empowered and confident in their abilities. I am able to push you while making you feel excited about new challenges. I am able to assess what you need, and offer you meaningful feedback in small, digestible chunks. Along with all of this, I make lessons fun! I have more than 18 years of experience teaching, all ages. I teach beginners and Advanced students. I work with different books, depends on the level of the student, Essentials, Suzuky, Dotzauer, Klengel scales, Duport, Popper, Piatti, Sonatas, Concertos like Vivaldi, Saint Saenz, Bocherini, Haydn C and D, Dvorak, Lalo, and much more, i also prepare the kids for Recitals, All State and Competitions.

The cello has always been my greatest passion in life. I am originally from China and am currently pursuing my Master's degree in Cello Performance at Azusa Pacific University. I have been performed internationally, included Asia, the USA, and Europe. My first instrument was piano, but I soon discovered my passion for the Cello, which became my primary musical focus. I have a lot of patient and passion for teaching. I believe everyone can learn to play the cello with hard-working and proper training.
