Viola Lessons in Noblesville. Amazing Teachers.

Lessons are tailored to fit each individual student's ability and goals. I believe in challenging students while maintaining a supportive and encouraging environment. Lessons will cover music theory, technique, and solo pieces. The goal is to develop in each student the specific skills needed to play a string instrument as well as to nurture an understanding and love for music.
Lessons take place at my apartment in Southeast Denver, near Hampden and I-25. Students are expected to prepare for and participate annual studio recitals. In addition to lessons, students are strongly encouraged to participate in a music ensemble program such as Suzuki group classes, school orchestra, or youth or community orchestras.

When I teach viola, my lessons address students' performance goals while also emphasizing that the music-making experience should be about fun and enjoyment. I bring enthusiasm and curiosity to lessons as I facilitate students' musical growth.

Students will learn the fundamentals of violin performance, use of the bow, fingering, techniques, etudes, and prepare for performance.

My viola lessons are customized to meet your specific musical goals, and whether you are an adult wanting to take lessons for the first time, or an amateur aspiring to make music your full-time career, I am excited to help you achieve success on the viola. My lessons are rooted in classical training, and I am open to incorporating contemporary techniques and string improvisation into the curriculum.

Whether you want to play classical viola, alto fiddle traditional tunes, or perform like your favorite pop artists, I can set you on the path to success! My private students range in age from 4 to 40 years old, and I have gone on to become music teachers, composers, and professional musicians. My most influential teachers have been members of The Philadelphia Orchestra and graduates of The Curtis Institute of Music.
