Vince began playing trumpet in 1998. He attended lessons at elementary school. Vince soon won principle chair in school ensembles; later with select county and state wide bands. He competed in annual solo competitions performing classical and jazz trumpet throughout middle and high school.

In 2003, Vince began studying trumpet privately with Mark Klose; later with John Maguda. Vince primarily studied from methods including: Arban's Complete Conservatory Method, Schlossberg's Daily Drills and Technical Studies, Clarke's Technical Studies, and Stamp's Warm-Ups & Studies. Vince also studied solo repertoire by Hindemith, Haydn, and Kennan among others.

While cultivating classical foundation, Vince developed jazz chops by listening, transcribing, and studying many jazz greats including Louis Armstrong, Clifford Brown, Donald

I've been teaching trumpet for 20 years and my students have gone on to the State level Band Auditions and won multiple times. Within the first few lessons, you'll be able to make a decent sound, play scales, arpeggios and simple tunes, and as time goes on you'll be able to play popular tunes solo and with accompaniment of piano or band. I specialize in classical, jazz and klezmer style, typically use best published books, and have the renovated, quiet and spacious studio, music stands, audio equipment. I love working with students of all ages and experience levels and I can't wait to meet you!

Our 12-year old son has been learning clarinet from Mr. Dimitry for about a year now and we highly recommend him to prospective students for his deep music knowledge, rich clarinet performance experience and above all, just being a great clarinet teacher.

In a year's time with Mr. Dimitry, our son's progress has been very impressive. After our son started lessons with Mr. Dimitry, it quickly became apparent that Mr. Dimitry is a very experienced teacher for young musicians. He engages our son effectively to keep him interested in music and clarinet while at the same time sets high expectations for him. Our son always looks forward to clarinet lessons and also is motivated to practice pieces at home.

Mr. Dimitry not only teaches sound clarinet skills, but also emphasizes the importance of playing music the right way, that is to tell stories and express feelings through music rather than to play music like a technician. Although it is difficult for a young musician to fully appreciate this concept, it does go a long way in preparing him to become a really good musician in the long run.

Mr. Dimitry is very polite, pleasant and professional. We recommend him without any reservation.

My 7 year old son has been taking recorder lessons from Dimitry for almost 1 year now. Dimitry is very patient, encouraging, and enganging - considering that my son is on the younger side. Dimitry provides music instruction that is appropriate age and level wise, so my son feels accomplished and challenged at the same time.
We plan to continue with Dimitry and hopefully advance to the clarinet once his fingers can cover the clarinet holes and he has learned more music theory. My son looks forward to his music lessons. We are very pleased with his musical instruction.
Jeff S.
Incredibly amiable, professional, and talented as a teacher.

As a senior in high school now graduating and transferring into college, I started my lessons with Dimitry in December last year and had to end this summer at the end of the music school's program. Even though my time learning the saxophone was short, Dimitry used my past musical experience to help guide me through the instrument. His lessons did not feel long in any sense of the word, and in fact some two-hour lessons I took to make up missed weeks blew by, as I was constantly engaged by his teachings. During my studies with him I found myself in the presence of a true musician, and this was only further driven home when I saw him play in the Hanover Wind Symphony at the Morristown Community Theater with Stanley Drucker. I would highly recommend Dimitry as an instructor for a student at any level.

I would highly recommend Jonathan as a music teacher. Jonathan is absolutely passionate about music, which is evident by his enthusiastic and energetic teaching techniques. He is very patient with my five year old and encourages her to get her very best effort. Jonathan customizes the music and lessons for my daughter’s skill level while at the same time provides challenges to keep the learning process interesting. In a short period of time, my daughter's keyboard playing abilities have dramatically increased. I am very grateful to Jonathan for making learning fun for my daughter, who always looks forward to her lessons!

"Caleb has been teaching my son trumpet for the past 4 years. He is a very talented teacher who is musically gifted, as well as patient and kind.

Loving music and playing trumpet has enriched my son's life, both socially and emotionally. He is currently first chair in his middle school band and plans to pursue band in high school. His pleasure in playing with his peers and his pride in his accomplishments are wonderful to see. Last year, he played "New York, New York" as part of a three piece band at a school event and in March 2017, he will play the entire score of the Lion King with the pit orchestra for the 8th grade play.

But the best part as a parent is seeing that he often walks around the house humming a random tune under his breath, even when he isn't aware of it. It makes me smile to see him be so happy!

Thank you, Caleb!"

"I love Phil! I played trumpet in high school and college. Then life got busy and I did not play again for more than 20 years. I wanted to go back to playing, but who does adult lessons? No one is the answer. I found Phil and he helped me renew my passion for playing. I took lessons in person and then when I moved out of state they continued online. He took me seriously as an adult female trumpet player, but was also a lot of fun to take lessons from. This guy knows trumpet inside out and backwards! He was always patient with me and struggles with my lessons. He helped me work around my busy schedule and life. I don’t care where you live or what past teachers have been like seek this man out and improve your skills tremendously!"

"I have been taking lesson with Mr. Gallo for over 4 years now and not once have he met any challenges that I face and was unable to fix it.Through Mr.Gallo's lessons,I came from being a player who lacks the desires to pick up my horn and practice everyday and someone who just doesn't have the confident to play a note properly (doing things half measure) to a player who cares about the tone quality and initiation of a note and putting in the work by practicing everyday to get good results. My work ethic and the desire to play my horn have increase through having lesson with Mr.Gallo and I would recommend this instructor to anyone who express an interest in playing Trumpet, Trombone, Tuba, and French horn, or someone who just wanted to learn music theory."

"Beckie is fabulous - with children, too!

Our 5 year old son has been taking trumpet lessons with Beckie now for 3 months. He has done amazing progress, is eager to practice every day in order to please her, and looks forward to each lesson. Beckie is incredibly encouraging, kind, yet strict enough to keep child's play away from the lesson, and finds ways to make a small child understand the basics of music theory. She balances the lesson nicely between actual playing and theory, never tiring out the student too much with either one. She's reliable, always on time, and communicates very well with both student and parents about any wishes we may have. She makes our son feel special, and he is very sad having to leave her, as we are moving out of the country this summer. His own words being: "Isn't it sad that I'll have to stop my lessons with Beckie, now that we've just gotten started - I really like the way she teaches."
All this to say... we warmly recommend her, and regret having to stop lessons with her. And that we encourage anybody, adult or child wanting to learn the trumpet (or any other instrument Beckie teaches!) to use her services!"
