I am a professional musical theatre performer who has been working primarily in Chicago for the past 10 years. I have had the pleasure of working with companies such as Northlight Theatre, Walt Disney World, Provision, Fox Valley Rep, Boho, First Folio Theatre, and have even had the honor of working with Stephen Schwartz. In addition, I have also had callbacks for Chicago Shakespeare Theatre, The Goodman Theatre, Theatre at the Center, Marriott Theatre, The Evil Dead Musical National Tour and The Rock of Ages National Tour. (When I improve my dance ability - I hope to add some of these theatres to my resume) :) During lessons I will focus on giving you a customized lesson plan specifically designed to enhance your instrument and talents. Because of this, I prefer not to accompany on the piano during lessons as it takes my focus off of you. Whether you want to learn how to belt like Idina, or hit beautiful high notes like Kristin Chenoweth, I can help. Experienced Musical ...

I just had my first lesson with an acting teacher besides a high school theatre teacher. I didn’t know what to expect but I’m glad I decided to try. I’m excited to see where I can go from here.

I have been performing and teaching Musical Theatre for 20 years. I have taught musical theatre performance for Orlando Repertory Theatre, Missoula Children's Theatre, Oregon Children's Theatre, and Central Florida Community Arts. I am also studying Estill Voice Technique and working toward my certification. Estill teaches that all sounds are valid so long as they are made in a healthy way. Let me help you find your sound and make sure you can continue to sing that way for the rest of your life.

About Jason

Alyssa is an upbeat, encouraging, and patient teacher. Her own singing voice is beautiful, and she sings very professionally in a wide range of genres. She is reliable, pleasant, sincere, and capable. She gives each student her full attention and tailors her lessons to each one's particular talent (as well as where they're in need of improvement). I recommend Alyssa very highly... She's delightful!

'Broadway' style musical theatre singing, from golden age to contemporary.

About Carol Anne

Hello! My name is Carol Anne Drescher and I am a professional musician with a passion for teaching. I received my B.M. in performance from James Madison University in 2015. I have played piano for 18 years, been a singer for 10, and am also a proficient bassist, kit drummer, and flautist. I current

I have been taking lessons with Carol Anne for over seven months and have learned more about theory and voice in that time than over the last ten years learning on my own. I never possessed the confidence to sing in public until taking lessons with Carol Anne. She quickly helped me understand my voice and potential. I was always a guitar player who was reluctant to utilize my voice. A relative was insistent that she wanted me to sing at her husband’s wake. Realizing this relative was not going to take no for an answer I went searching for Voice coach. Within three weeks Carol Anne implanted the skill and confidence to allow me pull off this event/challenge.
Even though my initial reason for taking Voice was successful, I continued lessons with Carol Anne due to the enjoyment of opening up a whole new musical avenue. She helped me find what I needed to work on. Carol Anne provided challenges that allowed me to better understand my capabilities and taught me the skills necessary to gain a higher understanding of music. Thru Carol Anne’s talents she helped me strengthen my voice, expand my range, and help me add a personal touch to songs.
On top of being an highly skilled, knowledgeable and passionate teacher, she is just an easy person to be around. I felt that I could experiment very freely with my voice in front of her, which is something I didn’t feel comfortable doing around many people. Now, I love singing in front of others.
I would have zero reservations recommending her to anyone looking for a music coach in any capacity.

"I have been taking lessons with Cara for two years now, and she is fantastic. Not only is her knowledge and technique very high-quality, but her manner is very low-pressure and comfortable. She's friendly and encouraging, yet still honest and constructive in her teaching. She specializes her lessons for your individual voice and selects songs and exercises best suited for you, with the proper techniques to healthily use your chords and not damage them. If you want to learn a specific song or style, she will not only teach it to you, but she'll teach you other songs and styles that will better help you sing and understand it. My voice, as well as my overall understanding of singing and music, has improved greatly since I started my lessons with Cara! She's worth every penny!"

"Melanie is an absolutely incredible vocal teacher/coach. I noticed a change in my voice after just the first lesson. Her vast knowledge of the anatomy used to create vocal sounds combined with the techniques she teaches has definitely improved my voice. She taught me how to belt and showed me the difference between my belt and my mix, which was beyond helpful. She also taught me how to sing in my head voice in a healthier and more effective way. And on top of that, she has a mental library full of great song recommendations for my individual voice. Can't wait until our next lesson!"

Sandra's level of patience and her ability to teach while making it fun has helped my daughter tremendously! She has more confidence and she is more controlled with her voice. She has also learned to express what she is singing about through facial expressions. Sandra's guidance has given my daughter an advantage in her endeavors.
