Classical music is my life passion and I am happy to introduce to my students the best of its piano compositions in styles from Baroque to contemporary. On the example of the chosen repertoire, we learn to define, compare and analyze the structure, harmony, theory and interpretation of classical compositions. Understanding of what was beyond the notes helps my students to discover the world of classical piano in the full aspect. Under my guidence you will be excited to learn to play more classical music than you ever did!
I am an experienced classical pianist with honorable degrees obtained from the most prestigious musical institutions in the world - State Academy of Music (Russian conservatory of music) located in Minsk, Belarus, as well as The College of Saint-Rose, Albany, New York, Unites States. Piano has been my main area of concentration since I was five years old, so I consider myself to be a top professional in the music field.
I really enjoy working with highly motivated students and welcome various ages and levels. I have worked both with professional musicians and beginner level music enthusiasts. As a teacher and piano soloist, I have worked in various countries including Russia, Italy, France and the United States. My international teaching experience has been showing wonderful results, and I am proud of my students winning the highest p
laces in the international auditions, competitions and festivals worldwide.
My thoroughly developed teaching method is built on the best combination of Russian and European traditions in music education, and it is intended to build and advance skills in reading, technique, theory, to enrich music appreciation by exploring compositions of variety of styles and genres, to discover the internal abilities and approach to an instrument, and master performing techniques.
Polina is so knowledgeable and informative. We jumped right in and she gave me great feedback on a piece I’ve been working on for a while. She is very motivational and I am excited to continue to work with her and improve my technique and ability.

Polina has been teaching my daughter for a year now and she is just amazing!!! I have also taken vocal lessons from Polina. I can't say enough about how wonderful and helpful she is. She has an impressive background in piano and voice and is a phenomenal teacher. She has a way of getting across exactly what she needs you to do. She is, also, one of the nicest people you will ever meet. We both highly recommend her.
I cater my lessons to the student's interest while still maintaining the importance of learning the basics. I use the John Thompson series but can use other methods as well if the student has already started using a different method. I have annual recitals which provide motivation for students to learn songs well to perform at the recital. I have access to festivals where students who wish to make piano more of a career, can compete for experience. I am interested in making lessons fun and enjoyable for the student, catering, when I can, to their musical interests.
Music has been part of my family for generations! I LOVE music! I have specialized in voice and piano lessons for many years off and on. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education, with a focus on piano and voice. I enjoy catering my lessons to the student's interest. I want them to enjoy coming to lessons and enjoy learning! It is very important that all of my students learn the "basics". However, we can still learn songs that they want to learn, while also learning songs with specific technique involved. Come see what music is all about! My hope is that I can show you just how fun music can be! I believe that you can learn music if you want to and that you are NEVER too old to learn!
I believe all the most important musical skills can be developed across all genres. My goal is to develop rhythmic, harmonic, and technical fundamentals that will unlock a wide range of repertoire and help a student play all of their favorite pieces. I like to keep it interesting and encourage playing in many different styles, as well as focusing on listening, improvisation, and writing. This well-rounded approach helped me develop as a young musician and I hope to bring that to my students as well!
I'm originally from Columbus and started out on piano when I was 8. I also sing and play trumpet and euphonium, and have dabbled in guitar and bass as well. I particularly enjoy writing and arranging, and I studied composition at University of Miami. I have a passion for teaching and the bulk of my experience actually comes in SAT, ACT, and math tutoring. I believe a musical education enhances those subject areas (and vice versa) and I take the same approach of finding an individualized method to help my student meet their goals. Outside of music and teaching, I enjoy running, tennis and cooking.
Want to sharpen your musical talents and find your path as a musician. I can help you achieve the goal you have set for yourself and also push you to be better. I have five years of teaching music to ages ranging from five to fifty and over twenty years being a musician. My teaching method is specialized to meet the demand and attention needed to provide each individual student with the necessary tools to master their craft. With my lessons, students will learn sight reading, ear training, essential elements of music theory and other handy tools that equip the student for greatness.
Hello, my name is Kwame. I have been a musician for over twenty years. I started out in music when I was in grade school and have continued my musical journey throughout my adulthood. I have five years of experience teaching a wide range of age groups. Adjacent to being a musician, I am also a singer and songwriter. I have been involved with many of local and semi-professional bands in the surrounding area and perform from time to time as a solo artist or with a group. My mission as a musical teacher is to preserve the art of making music and pass it down as it was taught to me. I feel music is a very necessary element that makes the world go round!
I was very pleased with my lessons. I learned a lot and Kwame was very patient and helpful. I like the progression of the lessons and feel like at this rate I will be where I want to be vocally in no time at all.

Kwame is a great instructor!! He is knowledgeable about the craft he teaches and is great at explaining things in a comprehensible manner. My daughter is young, and his teaching method provided her with the skills and confidence to learn you how play. She went from not liking to play as much to not being able to stay away from a piano.
I would show my student what a piece of music or song could look like when we listen or sing it and teach them how they could display it interestingly and appropriately.
Qianni Yang, who comes from China, currently is a DMA Candidate in Ohio State University, majoring in piano performance. She started to learn the piano since six. She obtained the bachelor’s degree in Wuhan Conservatory, which is one of the most famous nine conservatories in China. She was a recipient of the 2nd Awarded Class Scholarship for the academic year 2013 and one of Judges in Piano Level Test of Music Association of China, Changsha. After graduated, she went to Boston University for her Master degree of Music, under the guidance of Professor Gila Goldstein, and at the same time she taught piano in Winship Elementary School in Boston as a piano teacher. During these years, she had many recitals including the solo, chamber, and concerto recitals. Besides, she was the first prize winner of the American Protege International Competit
ion in 2017 and gave her debut in Carnegie Hall at the same year.
My teaching approach is as follows: If the student is new, I will need to know if he or she has any musical knowledge. If the particular student is a total beginner, I will definitely start from scratch and I will provide my own teaching materials for the learning process. Parents are welcomed to sit in the lessons and observe my teaching.
If the student is in intermediate level, I will first listen to the student's playing briefly to get the idea of the level of piano playing, and the student's previous learning experiences with their previous teachers. After that, I will have discussions with the parents regarding my further approach of teaching.

Seasoned pianist with 5 years experience teaching. All ages and levels are welcome. Want to play your favorite song? Learn how to improvise? Play by ear? I'll customize my lessons for your goals, and guide you through your musical journey.
I've toured through Europe in a jazz orchestra, played in the Rose Parade, and have studied music theory courses in university. I can play anything by ear (or at least give it a good go), and compose songs on the fly. My greatest passion is sharing my love for music. Let's get started!
I'm a graduate from Stanford University, where I studied physics and music. After graduating I traveled throughout working as a high school and middle school music teacher. Over the years I've learned many instruments and performed in many ensembles, including Stanford's wind ensemble, jazz orchestra, and Middle Eastern ensemble.
I'm originally a classical trained pianist: I've trained for over 15 years and attained the Music Teacher's Association of California Advanced Level certificate back in middle school. Recently, I've been more focused on improvisation and composition. I can play any style, but am most comfortable with classical, jazz, and pop music. Ask me to play a song by ear, or make you a song! I find creative interpretion to be the funnest part of playing music.
I have years of teaching experience, but more importantly, I am active as a performer. I also enter international piano competitions, so I can help students who want to seriously prepare for competitions and auditions.
Hey! I’m a classical pianist, and I’m excited to share my love of music with you. My biggest strength as a teacher is that, since I was not a child when I learned proper piano technique, I have an understanding of how to teach it.
I’m active as a performer, and I also enter lots of competitions. This experience means I can help you prepare for and succeed in competitions and auditions! (I recently won First Prize in the 2018 Memphis International Piano Competition and Third Prize in the 2019 Thousand Islands International Piano Competition.)
In addition to a Master’s degree in piano, I also have a Master’s in music theory.
My daughter took piano lessons with Greg for years, from ages 8 -14. He is a gifted musician who enthusiastically shares his passion for piano in his teachings. Greg is incredibly patient, supportive and kind. I would highly and without any hesitation recommend him to anyone interested in learning piano!
"My 16 yr old son started lessons with Richard a year ago. He was with another teacher for 10 years before that and quit at age 14. He forgot most of what
he learned and was hesitant to try out online lessons after a two year break. Richard had a way of motivating my son to read music and in very little time, he started practicing daily and for fun! Many times I would catch him playing piano at night (using a digital piano with headphones). He improved so rapidly and now plays Chopin pieces whereas one year ago he could barely play half a Thompson song. Highly recommend Richard. My son loves playing the piano now!"
"You really can't find a better instructor. Motivating, patient, well-measured approach to students. Thank you, Michael!"
"I have been working with Fawn for 4 years and have passed 11 levels of music theory and note spelling and 8 levels of lesson books with her. I can play an
ything I want, including high-level classical pieces, pop songs, movie soundtrack pieces, ragtime and jazz (I don't like jazz very much). Even though Fawn is very fun and can be silly, she has just the right amount of strict to her. She is quite fun to be with and I have gotten very far on piano (and other instruments now) and will continue to excel with her as my teacher. If I could give her more stars, I would."
"Junling is a very nice and patient teacher, She is very experienced and is definitely the go to teacher that can help you enhance your piano skill level t
o the next one"
"Maestro Fawn is amazing. She inspired my daughter beyond belief and was so knowledgeable and passionate about Music. I am a teacher too, and one day hope
my students will feel about me the way my daughter feels about her. Thank you Maestro Fawn! We love our lessons with you!"
"My 9 year old daughter has been taking lessons with Katarina for the past 3 months. She really enjoys the lessons with Katarina and has learned a lot! Kat
arina works very well with my daughter and is very pleasant, patient and thorough with her lessons.
Katarina is always on time and very flexible with scheduling which I truly appreciate considering my work and my other children's activities.
We have had a great experience with Katarina and would highly recommend her!"
"Kristin was very attentive and her lesson was easy to understand. I'd recommend her to anybody."
"My son has been taking piano lessons for over 4 years with different instructors and Ms. Bekkar is by far the best instructor that he has had. She is quit
e thorough in her teaching of classical piano, from playing it, to teaching sight reading to teaching music history. We are very fortunate to have our son studying with her and highly recommend her."
"I really had a great time coming over and learning the beginnings of piano with her. It was easy to understand new techniques and I respect her as a music
