I like playing funk, jazz, rock, pop and Motown bass. My favorite players are Jaco Pastorious, Pino Palladino, James P. Jameson and John Paul Jones.

Pain free playing, good tone, dexterity in the fingers, great time, and learning style appropriate techniques (slapping, double thumbing, fingerpicking, harmonics etc.) are what my bass lessons are all about.

I teach electric bass guitar using the Hal Leonard method. Also get students into learning songs, bass patterns and scales early in their learning.

When you sign up for bass guitar lessons, you will begin by learning the basics of the instrument including proper holding and playing position, tone production, rhythm, first position notes, and notation. Once you get the basics down, you will learn how to play your favorite songs regardless of style. All of this can happen within the first 4-6 months of playing.

I can teach beginners up to intermediate, and can teach most styles, except for slap bass.

Each lesson is tailored to fit each individual student. We will cover genres of music that's of interest to you, using music you enjoy most so learning the bass will be fun.

I have played bass guitar in varying capacities for several years now. I specialize in contemporary, rock, blues bass but also have professional experience in classical bass. I have played bass for several worship ensembles, rock bands, and several musicals.
