I enjoy working with most of my students, especially those who practice hard. I find all students unique and they response differently to my requests or questions. I feel that very often I need to react spontaneously to their responses. For the beginners I mainly focus on reading musical notes and learning correct rhythmic values. With beginners who haven’t played the piano at all I teach finger exercises written finger numbers only. Then I use Piano Adventures theory, lesson, technique and artistry, performance, and popular music books. Although Alfred’s and Bastien’s methods are well known, I prefer Piano Adventures because they introduce the coordination of right and left hand in more progressive manner. At the beginning the following will be covered. • Postures at the piano, finger numbers, high and low on the keyboard • Music alphabet, Intervals • Musical form, Dynamic marks • Staff; line notes, space notes • Time signature, accent mark, legato, staccato • Basic chords ...

Hi! My name is Rachel, and I have been teaching lessons professionally for over 10 years now. My primary instruments are voice and piano, and I also teach music theory/ear training/musicianship skills. I earned my degree in vocal performance from James Madison University, where I taught lessons to non-music majors as well as tutored general music for the student population. I also hold a masters degree in voice performance and pedagogy from the Peabody Conservatory. I would describe my teaching style as fun and relaxed, with a strong emphasis on healthy technique. I believe that all students should have a strong technical foundation, and that begins on day one. Genres I teach include classical, musical theatre, pop, and accompanying skills for pianists. I can also help with audition prep on both instruments. I look forward to meeting with

About Aysen Idil
Hi, I'm Idil. I’ve just received my master degree in Voice program from Mannes School of Music. I'm extremely interested in working with you! Shortly after my graduation from undergraduate studies, I started my professional career. I have been engaged with Turkish State Opera House as a permanent opera singer for seven years. In this role, I had the opportunity to perform leading roles with well-known orchestras, conductors and opera companies. It helped me to develop a professional attitude, discover leading research in opera at a younger age, develop good communication skills, musical discipline and responsibility at a young age. During this time, parallel to my professional duties, I assisted my voice teacher, who is a prima soloist in Turkish State Opera House, and had a chance to work with the students who provided me a chance to d
evelop my teaching skills to a wide variety of students. After the professional experience, I had a desire to further improve my music skills in the academic world. This led me studying and getting my master’s degree and complement my professional experience with academic research. The experiences I had has been invaluable. Teacher position requires ability to teach and communicate effectively, develop continuously and be responsible and disciplined with the tasks at hand. I believe my professional and academic experience have prepared me well in all of these areas.
While I was a young student, I always wanted to work with successful and well-equipped teachers who had significant and relevant hands-on experience. I believe, my experience and background prepared me to be one of those teachers who can help younger generation to build the skills necessary and grow in their area of study. This is what excites me the most about teaching.
I believe everyone can lean to play the piano! I’m using the blended method of teaching the piano, using Suzuki, ABRSM, and Bastien music literature. My main priority is to learn the child (or adult) and apply the best individualized methods matching to his best learning styles and personality. Learning to play the piano enhance memory, concentration, attention span, and patience. I make sure my lessons are dynamic and fun!
I have been playing the piano since I was 7 years old. I graduated from Prokofiev Music College in Ukraine with specialization in Piano Pedagogy and Performance. I won many local young pianist competitions and participated in the International piano competitions in Russia, Poland, Croatia, and Bulgaria. I have been teaching the piano since 2000 in Ukraine, Italy, Bahrain, Arab Emirates, and USA. I really enjoy teaching the children of different age and keep very positive, friendly and comfortable environment during the piano lessons. I expect my students to progress week by week by providing them a very dynamic program of piano performance, music literacy, and improvisation with further recitals, competition, and exams. Look forward to meeting my future pianist!
I have been teaching music professionally since 2016. My piano lessons use an unique approach depending on the student's interests and skill level. My style uses a performance-based teaching method (ex. learning a favorite pop song), a more traditional/classical approach, or a healthy balance between the two!
In any case, my teaching is tailored to suit a student right where they are and work with them at their pace. Lesson materials vary between the age of my client. Adult piano students will use the Alfred's Adult All-In-One Course Books 1-3 whereas my young students use the Piano Adventures series or the Hal Leonard Piano For Kids book.
I have experience teaching people of all ages and skill levels. I look forward to utilizing my skills for you!

I have played piano since I was four years old. I took lessons into my teenage years and started teaching lessons at age eleven. I'm now 23 and have taught for twelve years. Music is a huge passion of mine and I want to help make it a passion for you!
Music is my passion! I grew up in a family where there was always someone singing, playing piano, playing guitar, or some other instrument. I firmly believe that music enhances your life and helps you learn how to express yourself in a way that words cannot.
I teach music lessons because I love helping people find their passion and then watching them grow! I find joy in the success of my students!

"For more than a decade I have followed Tamari’s piano performances, compositions, choir direction, and performances of her students. The results have been
superb as attested by audiences, colleagues, and those under her direction, including former performers with the Metropolitan Opera and other distinguished musicians.
I am delighted to learn that she has decided to take some additional fortunate students, including beginners. I have also witnessed excellent performances by her justifiably proud beginner students.
I am pleased to recommend Tamari as an excellent music teacher of piano, voice, or composition for students of any level.
