I've been teaching broadway singing for 12 years and my students have gone on to receive scholarship money from colleges and entrances to performance high schools. Within the first few lessons, you'll be able to grasp foundational singing and breathing technique and as time goes on you'll be able to start adding to your repertoire. I specialize in audition preparation/creating shows/building repertoire, typically use opera books, and have the following tools available for your lessons: composition book and a pen/pencil. I love working with students of all ages and experience levels and I can't wait to meet you!
About Danielle
I have been taking the world by surprise since the age of 4. I began studying at Queens College at 6 years old and was a recital pianist by the age of 12. I was a consumer of music, from the Music Theory lessons on Saturdays, piano lessons on Thursdays and voice lessons on Saturday afternoons, my l

My only expectations are clear communication, dedication, and a commitment to vocal happiness and health.
I hold degrees in music from the Juilliard School (‘18) and Brown University (‘13). As a performer, I sang the 2019-20 season in Strasbourg, France, following my European début in Salzburg, Austria. I will meet you wherever you are, and together we will develop a personalized plan to meet your goals. Whether you want to wow your friends at karaoke, become a more well-rounded musician, start auditioning for shows/groups, learn to love your voice, or just learn to sing for yourself, I want to help! I will combine - all in an easy-to understand format - music theory, voice theory, ear training, vocal training for multiple styles, vocal/auditory health, and music analysis to create the best plan to make you into the musician you want to be!
Singing is a very technical thing. The human voice is an instrument like any other that you can understand and use in a technical manner. But also your voice is a direct extension of your spirit, your identity, your history, and your passions that others can directly perceive! To truly live in your voice, to be proud of your voice, is to be proud of yourself, fundamentally. I will use my clinical knowledge and my personal knowledge as a singer ...

Vanessa is an excellent teacher. She is very knowledgeable and experienced in her field, and does a wonderful job passing that on. My son has improved incredibly in a short time. She is also a great confidence builder, she makes my son feel that he can learn to sing any song he chooses and sing it well. She is also very personable and easy to work with. We are both very glad we chose her for lessons."
