Trumpet Lessons in Talmo. Amazing Teachers.

Relatable and experienced Trombone and Brass teacher looking for beginner/intermediate level students! All ages welcome, no one is too young or too old to learn as long as you like music and want to learn your instrument. We will set goals together based on how YOU want to sound and what music YOU want to play. I will do my best to offer you the knowledge and experience I have while relating it to other concepts/experiences you already possess. In lessons, you can expect to work on tone, embouchure, breathing, rhythms, lip slurs, etc.

Once we have a handle on the basics, I'll arrange music hand tailored for my student based on what music they like to listen to! I've done music for students all ages and many genres. A few examples of favorites are The Polar Express movie soundtrack music, Back to the Future soundtrack, Bad guy by Billie Ellish, We Are Number One from Lazy Town, and many others.

A graduate of the famous Curtis Institute of Music, Lori has played all over the world. She has played with greats such as Frank Sinatra, Diana Ross, Pavarotti, and Leonard Bernstein. After being invited to the White House, she performed for President Reagan.

Welcome to my profile! Throughout the eight years I have spent as a trumpet player, I have developed a firm understanding of musical techniques that range from classical to jazz styles. I would love to deepen my passion for music by sharing my knowledge with you! Our lessons would consist of learning the fundamentals of trumpet playing, sight reading practice, an introduction to music theory. Beginners of all ages welcomed. I cannot wait to begin our time together!

I have been playing trumpet since 2nd grade. I am comfortable teaching beginner students both in person and online. Hour sessions are available but count as two 30 minute sessions back to back.

I first picked up the trumpet in the 4th grade. I’ve spent a lifetime learning the instrument, making a living playing it, teaching others to play it. Now I’d like to help you.
