She is amazing violinist and teacher. Best in Atlanta. She was trained by incredible violinists in Europe and I love her sense of humor. Don't settle for unqualified teachers, just listen to her recordings and read her qualifications. Four degrees... a doctorate etc.

I'm an experienced and dedicated musician, having played with Orchestras and Chamber groups throughout my state. My lessons are focused on relaxation, and am as laid back or strict as the student needs. Whether you're a beginner or advanced, shooting to be a church player or a pro, I have taught students for that and am the teacher for you.

About Nicholas

Nicholas is a professional cellist that has studied since the age of 9. He has now been teaching the cello, viola, and violin for the past seven years for students of all ages, beginner to pre-college level. Throughout Nicholas’s career, he has been an active member of Honors Orchestras, Youth S

Nicholas was very professional. I've been playing cello for 13 years and have played in many community symphonies. I've never had a private lesson and just learned what I was taught in grad school. Although I was skeptical on online lessons, Nicholas has already shown me some bad habits i have and how to break them and we're already moving on to some hard stuff. I'm excited to where my next 9 lessons will take me. Perhaps even with more lessons on the way. Thanks Nicholas!

Nicholas is amazing! He knows how to really explain the viola so that my 10 year-old understands. He’s also very kind.

I am an adult contemplating learning cello as a new hobby. Nicholas was very nice and answered all of my questions. I am looking forward to starting regular lessons with Nicholas.

I love teaching violin and viola, and have been doing it for over 10 years. I believe private lessons are an essential component to successful musical development and growth. It is my hope that my students develop the tools they need to become independent musicians. I strive to create an atmosphere that fosters not only growth in technique, but in character, personal discipline, and a long-term appreciation for music.

I am an active performer, and play violin and viola with the Atlanta Ballet and Atlanta Pops Orchestras, among others. I hold a dual-Masters degree (MM/MA) in Violin Performance and String Pedagogy from Ohio State, a Graduate Performance Diploma from the Longy School of Music, and a Bachelors in Music Education from the University of Georgia.

Shadwa is awesome! She’s very patient and understanding of student needs. She’s also very encouraging and helpful, whether you’ve had violin experience or not, and makes learning to play so much fun!
Christine
I have learned a lot from my lessons with Shadwa. She has a knack for explaining technique, for making the connections between the physical movement and the sound produced. (Yes, it really does help to stand up straight!) She takes a personal interest in her students, which makes for a great lesson atmosphere. We established longer term goals that we could work towards; I appreciated her patience and creativity. Even scales became more than just boring drills! I definitely recommend her as a viola teacher for adults!

I take an approach that will best fit the student. I combine elements of Galamian, Delay, and Tuttle schools of thought to best fit the student on an individual basis. My three areas I focus on are: tension, tone, and intonation. Not every student responds to a specific, cookie cutter, formula, so this is why I draw from several sources to make sure I have the tools needed to connect with the student.

I have found that the classical music world can often fall into the trap of being stuffy, competitive, and intimidating. The professional scene can sometimes lose sight of what's really important (that music is supposed to be fun and enjoyable!) and unfortunately drive some people away from this divine art form. Music is everything and everywhere - it is the most intimate, intuitive and beautiful language that transcends the oral and written word. I do emphasize proper technique in lessons, but I do not lose sight of this truth and try my best to keep my students motivated and inspired. With all that being said, I can go at whatever pace the student wishes. I can provide a low pressure, light hearted environment. I am also capable of placing focus on refining proper violin/viola technique - this creates the best results and faster progress. At the end of each lesson, I give clear instructions how to productively practice at home.

About Aekyung

Graduated from The Juilliard School with both my Master's and Bachelor's degree. Studied with the principal of the NY Philharmonic. Suzuki Certified Teacher. Currently on faculty at an established music institute in CT and the Assistant Principal violist of the Hartford Symphony Orchestra. More

"Michael Drobycki was really amazing! I went to him for some feedback on my orchestra excerpts before a big audition I was worried for and he had really great advice not only about the music itself but approaching auditions mentally and physically. He also demonstrated a lot of them and his playing was simply inspiring. If you want to really learn how to play viola, Michael is your guy!"
