My background in classical, jazz, pop, songwriting, composing, and arranging all make me an extremely versatile piano teacher. I teach using a personal method which combines parts of all the most popular methods for piano to create an extremely varied and flexible method for each individual student. Using my experience as a composer/arranger, I frequently create arrangements for students when they express a desire to learn specific music, as I skillfully appropriate arrangements for each students' skill level.

Students will not only learn how to play the piano, but how to express themselves with it, as I keep creativity a high priority in students' progress and encourage improvisation. Students will also be introduced to basic music theory which will help them grow even further in their musical development and stimulate creativity. I am a piano teacher and my mission is to teach you to have fun while learning something new. Do you like pop songs, jazz, videogame music or even movie soundtracks? I can teach you all of these and more. I work with all ages, and each lesson plan is designed specifically for you and your musical needs. My goal here is to engage you with your instrument, teach you proper technique, theory and performance skills, but overall my goal is to help you have the best experience possible with a piano. I've been playing piano for over 25 years and teaching piano for over 10. I use a wide variety of piano methods to fit the individual needs of all my students. Students will learn how to properly care for their instrument, how to read music, music theory, instrument technique, practice techniques, ear training (how to play by ear), and repertoire. I even have my own experimental piano courses that I have developed myself. I do not teach Suzuki method.
