I provide a fun experience of learning to play and share music. My philosophy in working with students is to curb their interests with my vision for their success with technique and musicality. I want my student to not only become good cellist, but also enjoy music on a theoretical and historical level. My overall goal is to make a connection with people that will last and music can be an outlet for growing as a person.

About Carrie

Carrie recently relocated back to Davis California from Ann Arbor Michigan where she freelanced and taught cello at schools and in her private studio. After finishing her masters at Florida State University, she has performed with the Jackson Symphony, South West Symphony Orchestra, and West Sympho

Mr. Carrion helped me immensely during my time with him, and I learned so much about how to be a great bass player. He taught me many things that I was not previously aware of and helped me with my college auditions. Overall, I had a really good time with him and he was a great help.

Bailey was an excellent lesson instructor! She took the time to make sure I was getting exactly what I wanted out of my violin lessons and tailored her approach to meet my background and ability level. She is extremely knowledgeable about all of the instruments she teaches, and her positive energy is contagious! I learned so much from Bailey and always enjoyed our lessons together.

Bailey is an amazing teacher! I am primarily a low brass player, but had wanted to get better at piano. Bailey was able to analyze my musical needs, and developed a plan for my specific goals. She is great at focusing on specific problems and giving you advice for fixing them. At the same time, she is patient, and would be great with children, as well as adults. I would highly recommend getting lessons from Bailey!

As with all of my lessons, I provide a core curriculum as well as customizing to the student's needs and interest. Kyle is a great piano teacher! He is very patient with my 12-year old son. Just yesterday he referred to him as “fun Kyle” because he teaches him small songs on the side that he can show friends and family or are for upcoming holidays. He’s always punctual and respectful of our family and home. I’m grateful to have found him!

"Arlette is a wonderful teacher and has really clicked with my daughter. My daughter looks forward to her lesson each week. She is teaching her how to read and understand the music as well as how to play the cello. Here sessions are very relaxed and fun and I am confident that my daughter will not only learn how to play the cello, but love playing the cello. I can see how she passes that passion on to the student. If you are looking for a fun, passionate and well education teacher to work with your children, she is the one.

"I originally learned how to play the cello on my own in my school's orchestra. When I went to college and decided to bring my cello with me, I knew it was time to take proper lessons like everyone else. Brenda was able to help me iron out all of the bad habits I had developed over seven years of playing cello with no formal corrections. She clearly cared about me and my interests as a student. I can confidently say Brenda equipped me with the tools, techniques, and attitude I needed to play the cello for the rest of my life."
