Phantom of the Opera, Carlotta - Andrew Lloyd Webber's German production - International experience 1991-2001

About Patrice
My interest is in developing singers to become a better version of themselves and help them reach their goals. Many of my students are singing professionally in Colorado, New York and internationally.

Background includes international and national performance credits in both opera and musical theatre. My last major gig was Carlotta in Andrew Lloyd Webber's German production of Phantom of the Opera in Hamburg, Germany for ten years.
We sang eight times a week in German! All backstage activities were in English due to the truly International cast. I loved every minute of living and working in Continental Europe.

In May, I'll be singing one of the leading soprano roles with Opera Fort Collins in The Fairy Queen by Purcell. I'm hoping my costume will have a set of white wings like the Gynbourne production.

Alyssa is an upbeat, encouraging, and patient teacher. Her own singing voice is beautiful, and she sings very professionally in a wide range of genres. She is reliable, pleasant, sincere, and capable. She gives each student her full attention and tailors her lessons to each one's particular talent (as well as where they're in need of improvement). I recommend Alyssa very highly... She's delightful!

We will explore how the voice works and how you can sing different genres with a healthy technique! I'll teach you how to sing anything you like, in a healthy manner. Our voices are so delicate, let's take care of them!

About Eunice
Hello! My name is Eunice and I am currently earning my Associates as a Classical voice major. To earn this, I had to take four music theory levels, piano lessons and voice lessons. I love music because it isn't just about what you're singing or playing, it's about how you play it and what emotions you're getting across! I want to teach upcoming musicians not just how to play music but how to really get your own message across.

I am currently teaching vocal music in North Little Rock School District. Lessons will include breathing technique and vocal fundamentals. We will pace lessons based on goals set at the beginning of your first lesson and continue creating more goals as you develop as a musician. I am willing to teach various genres of music. Cannot wait to know you and help you find your voice!

About Micah
I have been teaching music for a few years now! I enjoy music so much! I received my degree from the University of Arkansas Little Rock. I am also a member of the worship band at my church.

One thing that I enjoy the most, as a teacher, is seeing growth and seeing students get that “aha” moment. The most amazing thing about teaching is being able to see the joy in students as they perform. They get to be themselves. Playing an instrument or singing is raw, vulnerable and takes a lot of hard work.

Being a musician is worth it. You get to be able to express yourself in ways impossible otherwise.

Please let me help you along your journey to become the musician you dream to be.

Lessons will consist of a warm up and repertoire work! I am a firm believer of a strong foundation for singing, meaning creating a good breath support system, working on consistency in the voice, and doing what makes each singer comfortable. I want everyone to truly enjoy what they sing, and so choosing repertoire will be a very collaborative process! My main goal is for growth in the singer, as a person and as a musician. For more information, give me a call, shoot me an email, or even a text. I look forward to working with you!

About Kate
Hi! My name is Kate! I am a vocal performance major at Baylor University. In high school, I was a member of the all state choir three times, and I was awarded 1-Superior Solos at state solo and ensemble. Post-high school, I’ve won various awards, such as placing at the NATS conference. I am a member of the Baylor Opera Theater department as well as Chamber Singers and the A Cappella Choir. I am very passionate about what I do and I encourage an attitude of optimism, no matter what the outcome!
As for my personal life, I am from Denton (north Texas) and live in Waco currently. I have two sisters and a brother in Denton as well as 4 dogs! My house was always a loud one so I’m used to a little chaos (and controlling it). I’m really easygoing and encouraging. I’m also a huge history nerd and am working on a minor in history. I know a lot abou
t music theory and have some basic piano skills if you’re ever interested in learning any of that! Overall, I’m here to help and encourage!

Singing shouldn't be difficult and taxing on your voice. I value proper vocal technique and approach it the same way a physical trainer would approach an athlete. I will equip you with warm ups, tools and the skill so you are able to produce a free and natural voice in whatever genre you choose.

About Wesley
By day I teach K-5th grade music and by night I rock it out playing piano bar gigs or the music I write myself. In 2014 I struggled teaching all week and then losing my voice for weekend gigs. I began studying with two great voice teachers who gave me the tools needed to become the great performer and teacher I am today.

I graduated from Illinois State University in 2010 with a Bachelors degree in music education. I continue to study vocal pedagogy and geek out on how the voice works and finding the right solutions for all students.
