I've been teaching beginning cello for over 30 years. Within the first few lessons, you'll be able to play pizzicato and learn how to hold the bow. As time goes on you'll be able to read music and play simple songs. Any beginning cello book will get us started. In addition to your cello and book, you will also need rosin. As you progress, a tuner and a metronome may be helpful. I love working with students of all ages and experience levels and I can't wait to meet you!

The best review I can give is that this morning after the lesson, unbidden, she picked up her cello and practiced for the few minutes she had between breakfast and leaving for the bus. That is inspiration. What could be better that that?!"
