I have played the piano in my younger years, and not playing it for a long time made me forget on how to read music sheets. It actually made me forget how awesome and fun it is to play the piano. And after a while, I decided I needed to get back on track. So, I checked out the list of instructors close to my home, and I found Andy. And yes, I made the right decision! HE IS THE BEST!!! I was so happy having him to teach and help me read music sheets and to play the piano again. He is funny and awesome! He makes it fun and easy for me to understand the lesson! He gives you pointers and he knows how to boost my self-esteem! I love the claps! <clap clap clap>. I cannot wait to do a gazillion more lessons with him! If you want to learn and have fun learning the piano, he is the one for you! Cheers to Andy! :)
Students will learn techniques and skills essential to playing piano as well as improve their musicality in various classical styles.
As a piano and voice instructor, I have taught individual lessons for the past 13 years to students from 5 to 85, beginners to advanced students. I hold Master of Fine Arts degrees in both Collaborative Piano Performance and Vocal Performance from Notre Dame de Namur University. In addition to my private students, I am the vocal coach and accompanist for the Sacramento City College Music Department, Choral Academy Coordinator and accompanist for the Sacramento Children's Chorus, and accompanist for Light Opera Theatre of Sacramento. I also am co-founder and artistic director of the Empire Arts Collective Pop Choir.
Lessons are taught at the Sacramento Preparatory Music Academy. Please note that while piano lessons are offered for students as young as 5, voice lessons are not offered until students are at least 13.
Want to be able to read music? Interested in being able to sit at a piano and play your favorite pop songs? Want to impress your family and friends with some flashy classical pieces? Well look no further, I will help you build a solid foundation of music theory, sight-reading, ear training, and technique while tailoring to your personal needs and goals. All ages and genres are welcome, my only rule is to have fun, so lets get started.
I am a professional singer, pianist, songwriter, and recording artist. I graduated from Broward College with an Associates Degree in Music Technology and dual -majoring in Vocal Performance. My primary instruments are Voice and Piano, but I also play guitar and trumpet.
All of my students can expect to improve weekly in their technique and skill level. I teach students to release built up tension and apply fundamental techniques by relaxing and enjoying their time practicing or performing. I can help any student to sing or play with freedom, confidence, and expression.
I teach students of all different ages and experience levels. I studied classical piano and voice for 4 years. I can teach students to excel in reading music, sight-reading, ear training, music theory, and performance and technique in not just classical music, but all
genres of music.
As a professional recording artist I frequently take trips to Atlanta and New York for recording and meeting with record labels. I have performed along side bands such as We The Kings, Plaid Brixx, and I have many musical connections such as Jadyn Maria, Katy Perry, Tiyon Christian, D. Smith, and more. I don't only teach my students, I mentor them, create a lasting friendship and help them reach their full potential and level of excellence.
My personal passion is contemporary music but I firmly believe that great technique is essential to any and every style. I look forward to meeting you and helping you to become a better musician!
I am a 60 year old man and so, one can imagine my initial reluctance to take up singing lessons at this age. But after the first 2 sessions with Bebé, I knew I was in the right hands. She is every bit the professional that you can trust to do a great job. I was extremely impressed, not only with her amazing vocal talents, but also with her technical skills, knowledge and experience. Bebé assessed my abilities, and set to work quickly and efficiently, and that's where I feel she truly excels. Bebé was patient, took her time to understand my objectives and capabilities, and pushed me just enough to keep gaining my confidence. I only had 5 lessons at this point, and I can already hear and feel the progress. The classes were fun, but Bebé takes her work very seriously, as any true professional would. I'm looking forward to my next sessions.

She was a great instructor! I will work with her again!!
I teach in my lessons: repertoire (classical, pop, rock, blues, etc), music theory, sight reading, and ear training. Lessons are one hour long Monday through Friday, NOT Saturday and Sunday. Beginners, intermediate, and advanced are welcome. I am willing to do music theory lessons via skype, not piano lessons though.
I am a professional classically trained pianist with a Bachelors degree in music from California State University of Sacramento. I have studied classical piano for 20 years and have been teaching for 10 years. I am also involved with other musical projects, such as playing in rock bands across California or doing session work. I am currently endorsed by Kurzweil Music Systems and Dave Smith Instruments.
I teach piano students of all levels from age 5 and up. I can teach students to read music and pursue classical excellence (that would include technique/exercises), to learn how to play contemporary music using chord sheets, or both depending on student preference. Some of the musical styles I regularly teach include: Classical, Pop, Rock, Hard Rock, Alternative, and Blues. Though playing popular music is fun, I find that learning tec
hnique is essential to improve the ability of playing and also learning music theory gives a well rounded experience to all students playing music. I look forward to meeting you and giving you fun-filled and informative lessons! Skylar T.
I have been teaching music for over 5 years and I love working with beginning and intermediate piano players and horn players of all levels. I realize that each student is unique and always approach individual lessons with my student's particular goals in mind. I have a basic curriculum that I use in order to build a solid musical foundation for my students, but I am open to working on whatever kind of music or repertoire that they may enjoy. It is always exciting to me when a student learns a new skill that helps them in their musical expression or achieves a goal (such as playing a song they really enjoy) that gives them a little extra fulfillment in life.
I am a freelance horn player with a passion for teaching both horn and piano. I have a Bachelor's of Music from The University of Arizona and a Master's of Music from California State University Long Beach.
I have been teaching privately and in group settings for over 5 years and really enjoy getting to pass on the knowledge and musicianship that I have received from my teachers on to the next generation.
I teach using a base curriculum but also love to work on pieces that students want to play outside of their main course.
Do you want to play classical piano music: Bach, Mozart, Beethoven? You are in the right place!
I choose and adapt songs according to the age, interests, goals, and skills of the students. I also use the songs to teach different musical concepts: intervals, progressions, scales, chords. Every student is different, so I don't use any specific method.
También disponible la clase en español.
I am a pianist, songwriter, and keyboard player and backup singer for a prog-rock band and also a music teacher.
I've been teaching music for a long time. Why? Because I love music and I love to teach. My mission statement: get you to enjoy music while learning.
The best moments on my work are when the students realize that they can play/sing something that they couldn't do before. I love their expressions at that moment.
I started playing music when I was 7: the recorder, the Spanish guitar, a double keyboard organ that I used to learn how to play the piano by myself. Later on, I started with official piano lessons and ended with my BA in piano.
My training was classical but I love new age music and jazz.
During my piano lessons, you can learn theory, composition, play classical music and know the differences between diffe
rent periods, play pop, jazz, rock, learn how to read lead sheets. I adapt songs you like to your skills so you can start playing your favorite music from the first day.
During my singing lessons, you can learn how to use your "instrument" (your voice) properly: breathing, posture, pitch, resonance, agility, vocal range, riffs.
My son, Dominick, has taken voice lessons with Laura for a few months at the School of Rock. He made great progress and was able to perform nicely. He feels very close to Laura and misses her a lot and can't wait to learn with her again when he's back in town.

Laura was beyond kind and understanding with me! I learned so much in just one short hour, and more importantly, she made the lesson so much fun! I absolutely look forward to learning more from her.

My daughter has been taking lessons with Laura for over 3 years. Laura makes the lessons fun and challenges her to learn. She even adds a little music theory which my daughter enjoys.
Pianist from The Juilliard School. Would love to work with students of all ages and levels of playing!
I am a pianist at Juilliard. I love teaching and have had experiences in giving private lessons to both children and adults. I am able to teach all levels of piano playing and I hope to make playing the piano a fun experience for all. Looking forward to meeting you!
"Excellent. First lesson found pieces for my level and enjoyment. I learned so much both about music and composers. Ronald made sure my musical needs were
met both by inquiry and demonstration. Looking forward to future lessons."
"Will is a good teacher. My young one loves studying with him."
"She is extremely knowledgeable and very patient. Really an amazing teacher who does a great job at explaining techniques and the theory behind the music y
ou are learning."
"Alina is a wonderful pianist and teacher. She is very inspiring and clear in her instruction. She has a deep understanding of how to interpret music, a
real artist. Very grateful to have found her."
"Mr Lo Is great and he has great technique.
He spent time working with my daughter hand position.
My daughter likes taking lesson with him."
"My daughter loves her piano lessons. Aleksis is very patient and knowledgeable. We are very happy"
"Anahit is an incredible piano teacher! She is highly qualified and her repertoire is seemingly endless. Given her vast understanding of a wide range of mu
sical forms she is able to hone into exactly what the student is missing and explain how to achieve it. Her vast catalogue of repertoire allows Anahit to guide the student through a variety pieces which all build upon each other in a meaningful way. If you are looking for a classical piano education, I can't imagine a better teacher than Anahit."
"Katarina is very patient with our 5-year-old. She focuses on the basics and makes each lesson exciting by associating musical terms to things a 5-year-ol
d can relate to."
"My son and daughter have been taking piano, songwriting and voice lessons with Fawn for several years. Fawn is an accomplished musician who gives lessons
out of her warm, welcoming and fun lit recording studio. Fawn has a kind and casual approach to teaching, however it is also strict. Fawn expects immediate results, which is great because it pushes students to be their best. Fawn is patient and enthusiastic and has allowed my son to develop a beautiful talent on the piano that I believe wouldn't have happened in a more traditional, strict setting. It has really worked for him. When Fawn does a Talent Share (her version of a recital), it is always inspiring and beautiful to see. Fawn has a special talent of meeting each student where they are and lovingly encouraging them to embrace whatever music inspires them. It is awesome."
