If you like to work on musical theater selections, you know there are different genres and styles. There is more to belting than just the high notes and I like to encourage a strong well placed head voice as well as learning contrasting styles, ballads and upbeat dance numbers.

I graduated from Georgia College and State University in Milledgeville, GA with a BA in Music Education, voice principal. We met Katie a few months ago and we’re so glad we did! She is kind, compassionate and patient. She has taught my daughter how to expand her vocal range and she is helping to boost her confidence by encouraging her to perform on stage. I really feel that my daughter has greatly improved since she started lessons with Katie and I know she’s only going to get better with Katie as her coach. Finally I just have to add that Katie has a beautiful voice. The first time I heard her sing I got chills and when she sang at a group performance I actually got teary eyed. Her voice moved me because she had so much emotion and that’s exactly the kind of coach I want for my daughter.

Mrs. Sherman is a wonderful music teacher. My daughter started in her class at preschool when she was 2 years old. She was shy and timid but Sherman’s music class really helped her shine. She loves singing and playing the piano! She’s got amazing rhythm and Sherman really helped bring that out in her. Sherman has such great talent and the teaching skills to go with it. She’s great with children and it shows much she enjoys what she does
Mimi
Miss Katie is an absolutely wonderful voice instructor! I cannot say enough good things about her :-) she is patient, kind, motivated, and really gets results. Even after the first lesson! If you choose to work with Miss Katie, I promise you won’t be disappointed!!! :-)

Taylor is extremely easy to work with and very talented in her ability to advise and challenge you to grow. She's willing to work with you to define goals and help you get there through actionable practice and advising she's learned throughout her career. An important aspect is capturing the reason you need music in the first place and she goes beyond just being a voice teacher and into being a coach/partner to help you achieve your unique goals with music. I've become more confident with my singing which she is able to help me understand requires different skills than just direct vocal practice. I'm excited to continue to learn from her!

My teaching curriculum emphasizes on proper breathing and vocal placement to ensure vocal improvement within a few weeks of lessons. All of these terms may sound scary, but I believe that singing should be a joyful experience and one that will be a positive change in your life and those around you. I teach all genres of music and specialize in audition preparation. I want my students to reach their musical potential and aspirations while having a blast.

Fine. Didn’t fill lessons to fullest. Felt like exercises followed a regimen instead of doing exercises best for the student. Don’t think she fully listened to me singing.

"Chris was very patient and provided great advice, examples and coaching. This is my first voice lesson and I am 54 years old and I was very nervous and unsure, but Chris made me feel comfortable and relaxed. I am looking forward to the next lesson and I am already practicing. My goal is to improve my singing and perhaps one day be on a local stage playing a small part, something that has been in my system for many years! I believe Chris will provide me with the training that may one day assist me in achieving my goal."

"Mary Elizabeth is a wonderful teacher. She has really helped me understand how important breath control is for my singing. She has also helped me to feel more comfortable with performing and getting into the character that I am portraying. I have also learned that sometimes stillness is the most powerful thing to express emotion in certain songs. Working with her as a teacher has inspired and encouraged me so much in learning how to sing. She makes learning vocal technique fun!"

"Michelle and Robert are the most incredible pair I have ever met. They have such a passion for what they do and it really makes them shine. They believe in you and give 110% to help you grow and develop your voice to allow you achieve your maximum potential. Their lesson plans are customized uniquely to you so you can get the most of your time spent together, and the time you do spend together goes by so quickly! I have found stepping into each lesson very enjoyable and full of fun despite the milestones we're striving for during each lesson. Despite the confidence I already had in my stage presence and acting abilities, Michelle and Robert have taught me to love and be proud of my voice (a whole other battle), and for that I can never thank them enough. Want to Someday Star On Broadway? 3 Tips from an Expert

Dreaming about someday starring on the Broadway stage? Here, Los Angeles, CA teacher Meredith P. shares her expert tips to help you get there...   As an audience member, you can sit back and relax at a Broadway show, and not truly understand the work that it takes to get to that coveted stage and the tremendous blood, sweat, and tears that go into each performance.
