Ear Training Lessons in Gainesville. Amazing Teachers.

Not everyone can play an instrument or sing "by ear", however, there is a process by which you can improve your ability to "hear" the nuances of music, from identifying intervals to identifying keys. This can be especially important when trying to emulate your favorite songs. This training is part of all my instrumental lessons, but can be taught as a separate skill.

Ear Training was a huge part of my college experience. As a Jazz musician, being able to hear the musical context of your surroundings and adapt to them is hugely important. My methods include fun and challenging ways of memorizing pitch relationships that don't necessarily require an in depth knowledge of pitches.

I will help you with practice techniques for Ear Training and Musicianship.

I can teach all levels and many styles. I make it easy for you to learn at your own pace so you can achieve your goals and have fun playing music.

Aural skills, that include the study of functional tonality and voice-leading are important factors that impart musicality. Lessons may also be arranged via Skype.
